Used to be a long distance driver , but due to cancer/missing lung , those days are gone. I have a lot of time to kill , and watch way to much You Tube. There must be 100’s of weekly/daily transport vlogs on YT , often by surprisingly bad drivers. Some has intros like «Tonight I will sleep In my truck» , others play tough guy’s , and has 6 feet high gear sticks. A lot of female drivers , clearly more interesting In being famous , then being a driver. I am not trying to be friendly with you , but you show the average people what long distance driving is. No circus , no big words , no big exaggerations, just like it is In your country. What really impresses me , is when you are tarping , doing it fast , and getting the tarp thight ! It is possible to do a good job , without making a lot of noise !
That's amazing that the bungee broke on camera. Mine usually break when I am driving, more specifically, as soon as I get on the highway. Lol. What a funky load requirement as far as securment went.
Dan, when you get a couple dollars ahead, could you possibly get the later model headlights...and install them on this Orange Pete...or, at least consider the idea....They are so darn good looking...
great great vid Dan Bailey... like yur cool 1:01 folding side sun shades... must really help cool truck down..good privacy too. just great.. Goodluck w water tank
Dan I always learn something watching your videos I’m no flatbed driver I’ve been pulling reefer trailers for 23 years. May god bless you and your family. We catch you down man.
Dan that was pretty cool when that bungy strap broke write as you was baking up to show everything on the trailer and the trailer!!! You definitely couldn’t do that again buddy!! And thank goodness it didn’t hit you also!!! Awesome video buddy!!! And remember keep up all the hard work buddy!!!!
Good to see another video from you Dan. That shipper must have had a few problems with a couple of green horns hauling there loads. Receivers complaining that the load shifted. They probably had to shell out some money as they were partially blamed for load leaving there facility not properly tied down. Most flat deck haulers do not carry pallets around to use a bull heads so I guess shipper is making sure they are supplied. When I used to haul beer we used those air bags to keep load from flopping over. Great video Dan, stay safe and have a great day…
That load you have is from The Garland Co - HQ in Cleveland Oh and founded in 1895. They manufacture roofing systems. They have been recognized as a top employer for a number of years in NE Ohio. Thanks for posting.
Yo Dan, kinda new to the channel, saw the jet engine, my dad's was the first class to use the T38, grew up in a station wagon going from Texas to Roswell to Chandler...of course I had to find out which switch makes the chicken lites blink. You make it look easy, I know it ain't. Be well, stay safe. Thanks again
Great video Dan keep up the good work. I like that your idea of taking one of your fuel tanks that’s empty and turn it into 100 gallon water tank for your shower so then you would have that much more water to use I think that’s a great idea.:-)
That water leak is destroying your floor which ya already know that. Seems like I can remember while I was working at Double Eagle we got a batch of tanks that seemed like the trucks wouldn’t be on the road long and they’d have to come into service and get new tanks put in. Be safe out there dan
Thanks Dan, Teresa, Bailey and Katie, Investigate what is above your water tank, it might be easier from the top side, give it some thought when driving. Remember they build those trucks for what is easy for them, not for you to service. Get extra line and fittings for new tank so you can match to old connections, they are old now. You might have to make your new lines long, then cut to fit new tank installation to prevent leaks with the old, stiff and brittle lines. Had that issue replacing a water line to the water pump from the tank in a Camper once. It was just easier to replace everything with new flexible stuff. Treat your plywood with a Borax (20 mule team) mold preventative solution before installing new tank, it works better and longer than bleach. Look it up on the internet, a lot was used after Katrina for mold remediation. Take care out there Dan with your Corvette maintenance, remember, that is the pains of owning an older Corvette. 🚚🌊🌊🌊🦮🏇🐴🐎
Hi Theresa! Great videos Dan! I don’t make the rules I just play the game! My favorite saying when I was trucking! You just need to Be a trucker to know what that really means! Bullet Bob From farW. Texas! 🤠😀😀😀👍👍👍❤️
how do you split masses and stop goods from moving arround? use palets! they work like walls if you tie them down correctly. its a standard in europe and it works. this doesnt mean that we like that way of securing a load.
Safe travels. My guess is the pallets arranged like that keeps the load from being damaged in transit from any flying debris. Great to always see Miss Bailey happy & alert. Give her a hung, a smooch, & scratches behind each ear. Alway obey her & do as she wishes to stay on her good side.
Thanks for the video! Such a wonderful self-contained apartment on the road. The water tank replacement seems very doable- though tight quarters I imagine. Perhaps you will show us the repair in another video.
The empty gas tank is the Perfect Solution for the water tank :) But how would you get the fuel corrosives out of it to use as fresh water ?? Too bad you can't replace the fuel tank and use a water tank with similar dimensions so you could do a direct hook-up into the cab !! Easy Peasy :) :)
Hello Dan and Bailey good to hear from you two the strap snapping on camera was a priceless classic and yes what are the chances of that happening and I love the empty fuel guage sticker where did you get that sticker lol... please keep the videos rolling and you and Bailey have a safe drive...
Looking good…We are in Ft Smith visiting family…Came across I40 East on Sunday… Heading back to CO tomorrow but probably gonna take NW route from OKC 270 to 412W Woodward/Guymon/Boise City…. Was looking for ya Sunday stay safe…
Could you talk about 'responsability for the load'? Since sometimes the shipper specifies how to tie down, since the shipper loads or receiver unloads. And since to do the securing. And accidents or vandalism. I enjoy learning from you. Thsnks!
Looking at this from the shippers point of view, a trucker that's easy to work with and willing to do things my way (our way if it's company policy) is a very desirable person to work with. They make my life easier and my time working with them more pleasant. Having to work with some hard headed grumpy trucker that argues, or shows me in non verbal ways that I'm getting on his nerves simply makes me not want to work with that person. Of course we all do what we have to do, and if the undesirable person is my only option as a shipper, then I just deal with it. I feel that in this life a good attitude is one of the best character traits any person can attain to. An attitude of gratitude will cover a multitude of sins.
Come to think of it....what about one of those boxes on the trailer as reserve tank for water ?? Perfect size for a water tank :) :) Just takes some thought and ingenuity :) :) maybe some re-engineering .....lol !!!!
truck and trailer looking good Dan, Bailey likes the outside world for sure 😂 For sure that water leak you might have to change the wood to Or hopefully it will dry out for you with no problems Be safe take care yourself Dan
Crazy customers? The company knows what they are shipping. THEY are paying the driver to ship it and secure it in a manner so the product will not get damaged. Damn....
Great videos. Keep up the great work. But I have a question. You’ve mentioned it before but what was the book that you recommend for load securement? I’m only a year into trucking and still have lots of questions. Could you point out that book again?

Appropriate statement for your caption " I don't make the rules I just play the game " 💪✌️💪
Those are some strange requests. Wowza. You killed it, Dan. The. Cardboard bubble balloons were a nice touch also from the shippper. Lol….wtf
When you Think about Life, it’s a Game. As you grow up, you learn what’s Necessary to be Successful. You Definitely Listened. 😬👍
Ha! That shipper has come up with a brilliant method for getting rid of excess pallets. There is no other reason.
Pallets have value and are worth money. They are sold all over in most cities. Da..
That's a miracle to catch bungie breaking.😀
That's amazing that the bungee broke on camera. Mine usually break when I am driving, more specifically, as soon as I get on the highway. Lol. What a funky load requirement as far as securment went.
We knows that Mrs T is the ❤️ of your life. SAFE TRAVELS 🚛💨💨💨💨
Love the toot'n totum!! Always has parking late at night
Dan, when you get a couple dollars ahead, could you possibly get the later model headlights...and install them on this Orange Pete...or, at least consider the idea....They are so darn good looking...
Like you Dan I’d want that single pallet in the middle, easier to cope with and easier to sheet the load. 👍
great great vid Dan Bailey... like yur cool 1:01 folding side sun shades... must really help cool truck down..good privacy too. just great.. Goodluck w water tank
Dan I always learn something watching your videos I’m no flatbed driver I’ve been pulling reefer trailers for 23 years. May god bless you and your family. We catch you down man.
Those big air bags are used in box trailers to fill spaces between pallets
Cool video Dan 🤙
Great to see you back on the road!!! Hi to Bailey too
Dan that was pretty cool when that bungy strap broke write as you was baking up to show everything on the trailer and the trailer!!! You definitely couldn’t do that again buddy!! And thank goodness it didn’t hit you also!!! Awesome video buddy!!! And remember keep up all the hard work buddy!!!!
When you deliver the load find a place that buys palettes...here in Miami-in good condition - $6 each!
great idea with converting the tank for water!!! See 11:20 for the miracle.

Great video Dan keep up the good work. I like that your idea of taking one of your fuel tanks that’s empty and turn it into 100 gallon water tank for your shower so then you would have that much more water to use I think that’s a great idea.:-)
Thanks for another insight to the life of a professional owner driver
Stay safe 🌵🇬🇧😎

All those tank ideas have big dollar signs in front of them. Roll with what you got and keep the cash.
Looking good Dan safe travels at cost
Hi Teresa ✌🖐🤭
Must be something in the boxes they don't want crushed
Thanks Dan, Teresa, Bailey and Katie,

Everyone in the UK starts singing the classic Is This The Way To Amarillo
Was one of the comments about the missing Hi Teresa sign from Teresa ? 😁 PS... Hi Teresa.

If this shipper is this touchy, perhaps they should've used a dry van

The extra fuel tank converted into a water holding tank - good idea
Loved my HeatShield shades, they make a big difference. I passed them on to whom ever got Bertha when I left.
I bought the same decal for fuel cap area back in 2019 for my new suv as a joke. Little did I know it wouldn't be a joke a few years later.
Welcome back Dan, thanks for the video 👍
Thanks Dan. Good to see you. Hope the water tank replacement is easier than it looks. Blessings
That's so funny but you're the best buddy keep up the great work
The truck and trailer look’s amazingly good, especially late at night.
Another good video Dan KEEP ON TRUCKIN 👍 🇺🇲 🚛 🐘
Thanks for the video! Such a wonderful self-contained apartment on the road. The water tank replacement seems very doable- though tight quarters I imagine. Perhaps you will show us the repair in another video.
HOME SWEET HOME !! WOW❤🇺🇸🐘
Toot’n Totum. Amarillo convenience store that has been building new stores and travel centers throughout the region over past 5-6 years.
Good morning Dan and Bailey.
Call that one the pallet protection program. 😁

Thanks Dan
Changing that water tank does not look fun. Stay safe out there Dan see you next time.
yah get rid of that tank under your bed. and make the old fuel tank a water tank. free`s up room for storage.
Dan the line is " AMARILLO BY MORNIN " Not evening. LOL
Toot and totum a large chain of convenience stores started in amarillo
10 pm and no issues finding parking? I guess that far west parking gets better??
You can keep the v boards for hauling roofing shingles. The v boards protect the shingles better than the edge protection. Or that is my opinion.
Travel safe, Dan!!!
Looking good…We are in Ft Smith visiting family…Came across I40 East on Sunday… Heading back to CO tomorrow but probably gonna take NW route from OKC 270 to 412W Woodward/Guymon/Boise City….
Was looking for ya Sunday stay safe…
Get a Kuerig Dan!
I'd do the fuel tank as water...
Make a small tank out of the old one that you can't have more water in
Good luck Dan nice seeing u again
Glad your ok.
Agree
Have you thought about putting an inverter in your truck so you don’t have to start the generator to run some thing like a coffee pot or microwave?
Long time no see super trucker dan, from the imperial co California.

That load must be some delicate stuff 🤔
Come to think of it....what about one of those boxes on the trailer as reserve tank for water ?? Perfect size for a water tank :) :) Just takes some thought and ingenuity :) :) maybe some re-engineering .....lol !!!!
Great job Dan!! That was some requirements to get that load ready. You always do a great job. If all truckers were like you!!
My saying at work is, I don't make the rules, I just enforce the rules.
skateboard hauler,-your a better man than I gunga din,,,
I would be be worried the fuel tank converted to a water tank would freeze since it is outside the heated cab.
truck and trailer looking good Dan,
Bailey likes the outside world for sure 😂
For sure that water leak you might have to change the wood to Or hopefully it will dry out for you with no problems
Be safe take care yourself Dan
It's how this company remove excess pallets from their workplace.
Not sure what kind of chemical you would need to get that tank flushed out to not have the water contaminated
It’s tough to deal with crazy customers!!
Crazy customers? The company knows what they are shipping. THEY are paying the driver to ship it and secure it in a manner so the product will not get damaged. Damn....
I see you made some coffee.
I put a pinch of cinnamon in mine.. Give it a nice tast
Love your videos man. Stay safe out there
Your vid showed a green bonding (ground) wire to those rails. To me, that implies that section is an separate assembly.
BUY A LOTTERY TICKET, AND BLAME IT ON THE BUNGEE!!!!!!!!! NICE LOOKING WRAP JOB!!!!!BE SAFE!
"The Customer is always right!"
No they're not, and more frequently these days the customer is rude, belligerent, abusive, and ill-informed.
@@scottdavis2133 Yes you're right!, I deal with the BS daily
What is that your load never seen that before n have step deck for 10 yrs
Great videos. Keep up the great work. But I have a question. You’ve mentioned it before but what was the book that you recommend for load securement? I’m only a year into trucking and still have lots of questions. Could you point out that book again?
he's pointed to the 'usdot green book' a few times (federal motor carrier safety regulations handbook)
What's the load (that requires the bags and pallets)?
Wonder if they had something impact the load damaging the front of the product.
what is the product.?
name, price on the sun shades please
Maybe they have to many pallets and that’s how they get rid of them.
Dan is that a food grade fuel tank?
