I'm 67 years old. Foghat is my favorite. Rod is without a doubt in my mind the best. Him and Dave were awesome together. Miss them two so much.

I'm guessing I saw Foghat around 15 times from 1973 to 1977 (in Detroit, Ann Arbor, Lansing, Flint and Toledo) Rod and Lo Dave's dueling guitars always featured Rods furious slide playing or his searing solo licks. I've never seen or heard another slide guitarist any better that's for sure. Rod never did get (and still doesn't) the acclaim he deserved as a lead guitarist. Both Dave and Rod were taken from us way to soon... damn it, the tracks they had left in them!

I cannot imagine the flood of electrified, thrilling, guitar-and-amp fueled ecstasy that Rod must have felt, standing in front of a wall of amplifiers, when sliding out these unutterably astonishing bottleneck glissades. Every time I feel an urge to try to learn how, just thinking about his talent and natural affinity causes me to put my unused guitar back in its case. It's like --- there no point in trying ---it's already been accomplished, by one great man, for all time.

This CD is worth searching for. Was at CD Release Show at Ratssleller Tav, Mt Hood, Oregon. What Inspiration to pick up and play for Millions! RIP Rod

As good a band as there ever was. The most overlooked in rock & roll. All those that are gone makes me sad.
