I spent years daily riding a drz400sm. Dumped tons of money into it and did all sorts of garage mods to lighten it and make it look better. Great reliable bike, but it’s outdated and underpowered, if you wanna go on farther rides then your local city streets and use freeways/highways it struggles badly to the point lots of people say “I can’t go on the ride I have a drz” ...been there done that lol. Had a 15’ WR450F in full SM trim, but that too was strictly a local shred the local city streets bike. I’m on a 2019 husky 701sm now. It’s definitely a do-all bike to a certain extent. Can shred local streets, commute on the freeway to work if you need, ive outran sport bikes at chuckwalla raceway. I dig it.

Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of the 2020 color scheme either. It doesn't matter to me really. I bought a second set of fairings with custom decals from my dealership giving me my own personal look on the bike and I would still have the original ones in pristine condition should I ever decide to sell :)
ahh nice idea,i would def get some costome livery if I was to buy another 701 but I might get the ktm smcr next ...not sure.but no problems so far just a few false neutrals sometimes so just make sure to give it a good positive click when shifting gears ;)over all I think they are just good tough reliable bikes!ive just bought a few things for it like new mirrors,blue foot rests,gear shifter and rear brake lever and some black spoke skins,shes looking pretty nice so far :)

Hi, I've noticed something and I must ask you. Yesterday I went and rode a 2020 701 supermoto. All good, but I had problems with the handguards not really accommodating my left hand. Now I see you have exactly the same glove I used in this video (mine is size M). Could this 701 had different handguards? You had the same problem or is just me being too picky?? I was kind of annoying to be honest. Thanks
Did a testride on the 2018 model a few days ago. Very fun bike (low down torque, power wheelies, ...) but don't think I could use it everyday on the commute. Saving up to get one in 2019 (dealer said it will come with QS as standard) as a second bike:-) nice vid btw.
i had a 2012 SP and a 2014 SP....they are heavy...the 701 is a much easier bike to ride but the hyper is better if you gotta jump on freeways and stuff....the 701 is just not comfortable on freeways
Hi Congratulations on your Husqvarna 701 Supermoto ;o) I just got my H701SM. Mine is produced in early February 2018, but looks a bit different from yours. My H701SM has LED flashing lights and a much smaller tail light. The reason may be that your is an US model and mine is an European model...? Go for an aftermarked muffler...

I feel ya on the swaping bikes around sold my 06 dr650sm and ended up trying a z1000 and Honda vf750c before coming back to the 701. Good vid man.

I love my Husky 2018, a Lot of power and torque, modified weight to 140 kg now, is really fun!

Yes there is, about 10hp more on the 701 and a smoother engine.
The 2017/2018 husky motor has a lot of improvements the KTM hasn't got yet.

701 is the fastest sm it beets the Ktm 690 . Put a Power commander exhaust and intake and that bike flyes
