actually i have literally the same opinion. i started watching anime 3-4 months back matlab sabar naam ki cheez nahi hai to first i finish the anime season and then after realizing that next season will take 1 or 2 years to comeout i jump to manga. actually i like both. both are unique in their own ways. sometimes it depends on the story and animation, so if the anime's story is good but animation is not good i choose manga. 2nd reason can be incomplete story. for example take "my love story" i absolutely love the story plot, voice acting, animation and everything and anme ending was also not to bad. i was happy but then i read the comments and got to know that it is not the complete ending so i went to read the manga and finally got peice

Tokyo Ghoul and The God of Horror manga Junji Ito's works are pure gold example of how a manga can be 10 times no 💯 times best than the anime. Also Berserk is a pretty good example as everyone is saying that not that its best manga/ work of fiction ever written or anything.
If you are reading manga then be sure to read Berserk it is with no doubt better then any anime or manga in existence but I recommend first reading Kingdom so you get a taste of seinen then read Berserk Mangas better then animes - Tokyo ghouls Tokyo revengers Kingdom Animes better then manga - Attack on titan Demon slayer Hunterxhunter
The only reason I choose manga over anime is because of Berserk. It's been 4 years and I haven't watch much anime, I just read the source material nowadays.
Well reading manga and watching the anime gives us different experiences. Although a lot of people prefer reading manga. But in the end what matters is what makes you understand story more comfortably.
I can agree with you, it totally depends Although I also prefer mostly anime most of the time because of colouring, voice acting, music and other stuffs. But there are some stories where I prefer manga over anime. Prime example is One Piece. Pacing in one piece anime is the worst I've seen so far that's why I'm sticking to manga. Good thing it's available in coloured version too for like 900 chapter's. Second example is Berserk, the animation can't match the level of Berserk manga art. Not to mention manga is less time consuming and you can read it literally everywhere like when you're travelling or in public places. You don't need any headphones.
But let's assume berserk gets animated by ufotable or mapping studios The animation quality can definitely match the manga then Top notch animation for a top notch manga art But sadly it might not happen
Both manga and anime has its ups and downs. Anime: 1)Music: powerfull music for fight scenes or sentimental music for sad scenes or melodious music for romance.etc. 2) Dialogues (Japanese audio with eng sub): funny voice in funny scenes or screeming during fight scenes or voice breaking during sad secens.etc. also we get to learn many words and phrases of Japanese language. The only cons of animes is we have to wait long for next season or episode because of its making. Manga: Detail story and we don't have to wait very long for the all chapters to launch. And the cons is lack of music, dialogue.
I think that another problem with some animes like naruto is that sometimes the pacing is slow, they show flashbacks for 10-11 minutes and nothing much happens in an episode like during theme 5 Kage summit but overall naruto is one of my favorites

Personaly saying, i am a student and i have too much work like my school works and the other works of my home and watching a series like one piece is a time consuming thing for me that's why i started reading one piece manga and it was a good idea like it has a nice details in characters and it is time saving too.
I prefer manga nowadays cuz I can easily grasp what message the mangaka is trying to convey but in anime (it's a little bit complicated) . Manga with insane details and beautiful art and good paneling is a pleasure to read. And about anime, Soundtracks, Voice acting, Fluid animation, the pretty aesthetics are a treat . Mushishi is peak anime .

Anime is better because manga as an art form is restrictive you have to put story in few panels with a page limit and create them on consistent basis, the panel format doesn't flow for the good and long interaction and details that movies, series and novels can do, + in anime you get music and visuals
I like both anime and manga but most of the time manga is better at art style etc.But the plus point of animes is the osts and the fight scenes etc but because mangas dont have censored scenes but anime censores many scenes.

I prefer manga nowadays cuz I can easily grasp what message the mangaka is trying to convey but in anime (it's a little bit complicated) . Manga with insane details and beautiful art and good paneling is a pleasure to read.
And about anime, Soundtracks, Voice acting, Fluid animation, the pretty aesthetics are a treat . Mushishi is peak anime .

I believe that anime is still better than manga because in manga you cant show or depict an emotional scene that strongly than it's shown in anime for example in boruto Kurama dies but it almost felt like nothing but after watching anime, I was really emotional.

Anime is better because manga as an art form is restrictive you have to put story in few panels with a page limit and create them on consistent basis, the panel format doesn't flow for the good and long interaction and details that movies, series and novels can do, + in anime you get music and visuals

Manga is way better . One piece anime worst problem is pacing .
I like both anime and manga but most of the time manga is better at art style etc.But the plus point of animes is the osts and the fight scenes etc but because mangas dont have censored scenes but anime censores many scenes.
Depends on the anime adaptation... Like Mostly animes have good adaptation... But there are some some examples of bad anime adaptations
