Just watched the whole series, nice job really enjoyed it. Did a fly and ride in Alaska in 2017 it was great seeing those roads again. Every motorcyclist needs to do that trip. Thanks!
hey Z shark man I enjoyed watching your adventure here in Alaska, those mosquito's can be fierce , they almost carried me away one time, lol stay safe brother ,love riding above the arctic circle ,,(BIG thumbs up from Fairbanks )
SO AWESOME! Thank you for the new episode! I've been waiting patiently! I've got a 2018 KTM 690 Enduro R as well. New into ADV riding, but i would love to make this a bucket list ride for me!!!
Oh gosh. I was getting itchy listening to you describe those mosquitoes. Did bug spray help or would it have or were they just too out of control? Epic trip.
A friend of mine said he got itchy after watching it also. I guess i set the mood right..haha.. Spray didn't help much. When you get close to Prudhoe bay.. its all marshland. Which makes a perfect breeding ground.
The mosquitoes are not bad around the solar noon. However, they are caribou mosquitoes and about twice the size of lower 48 mosquitoes. They much preferred my thick black knit hat over my face.
Are you planning to do another trip somewhere again? Also, what do you think of the ktm 1290 adventure? I saw one at a dealership and couldn’t believe how massive they are.
I'll be attempting to ride the Trans America trail in late july. And hope to capture a lot of footage. I think the ktm 1290 would be a great Alaska trip bike. But i like to have a bike i can pick up by myself when loaded up. And the 690 is just about my limit for that. I know chris birch can ride a 1290 anywhere. But i don't want to find a cool trail and have to turn around because I'm on a big heavy bike. But the trade off is the 690 isn't as comfortable doing long road miles... Cheers
Thanks for sharing. Good to see you posting again Life always has a way of slowing you up.
Thanks for watching 😏👍
