I am 73 years old and I have one fear, that I will not live long enough to vote for Pete Buttigieg (again) and see him take the Oath of Office as President of the United States of America.
I concur 100%! Pete is smart and conscientious about what America was founded upon; freedom. He has my vote. It's time to move beyond the grand old party and their blatant hypocrisy. 66 year old southern man here transplanted out west.

Here I am a gay man and thought he was straight for a long long time and thought he would be a fine president. I later find out that he is gay, he doesn't make it an issue because it should not be an issue, and still think that he would be a fine president. He is so smart and articulate where he makes you sit back and think and when someone can do that and make you look at the big picture outside of the box then that's the person I enjoy looking to hear his mind continue speaking.

It is refreshing to see a politician that can walk, talk and chew gum at the same time. Not only does he make sense but truly presents his understanding of common sense in a way that separates him from the ordinary. I have no reservation in supporting whatever path he takes.
As a progressive, PB has never been my guy and has said things to make me actively hate him. That said, if he speaks honestly like this going forward and does what he says, I'd vote for him no question.
I can hold two thoughts in my head at the same time. Being a born again Christian I think abortion is wrong, being born in America the land of the free I cannot tell a woman what to do with her body. The fact that I am a Christian cannot override the wishes of 70% of our country a free country a country of Rights I cannot limit people's rights based on my religion that's un-american. I've always pride myself on not being a Democrat or a Republican being able to pick and choose whom I think is the right person to govern us, but today I cannot trust Republicans to govern us in the manner a free society should be governed. Therefore in this current climate I urge all people who love their freedoms to vote for Democrats at least during this current climate.

I will add that, if RvW gets reversed and “life” is now legally stated to begin at conception, then every unborn “child” by this definition, must be entitled to all the protections and funding provided by city state and federal laws. That means everything from tax deductions and tax credits to collecting child support if mother fits the financial parameters; and that definitely means child support from the father. That means laws must be put in place to have mandatory dna tests for proven probable father, and then child support should be retroactive to date of conception.
It never occurred to me that we, as Americans, had possibly reached our “watermark” on how far we had advanced as a society.

We have had and have a President like your description. . Likely in our future Pete will be a candidate for our President. Given our circumdtances, Biden is proving a fabulous President. He has no dementia. He does suffer fatigue and has stuttered since a child. He conquered it, but as one grows older and gets tired during ghe work day, managing a stutter is tougher. With Roe v Wade on the line, it can be a power play so to speak, to propel his campaign. I'm not looking for a perfect person because such a person does not exist. I am looking for someone who has all of Buttigieg's qualifications. He is brilliant and has supremely excellent values. How fortunate we are to have him among us and willing to serve his country. I'm older now and may not live to see him perform in the highest office but I believe he will do a splendid job. Think of what he won't do, as compared to some of the men who have held that office.
I desperately want a woman to finally be able to be president. HOWEVER Pete is my exception to that. He is level headed, has common sense, ariticulate and most importantly has an abundance of intelligence! He would make a great president someday. I'd vote for him in a minute.
