How to find a gear ratio and use it to calculate input/output torque and speed. How to determine overall gear ratios of gear trains and compund gear trains.
Jenn can you please explain why at 12:57 you put the x in the denominator instead of the numerator for the proportion? I really need help understanding that. Is there somewhere i can message you directly
I think you mean for the speed calculation? Speed is inversely proportional to the gear ratio. So, if I set up my gear ratio as output/input, I have the speed side of the equation as input/output. I have the input speed, I'm solving for the output speed. This means my "x" goes in the denominator. Sorry for the delay in responding!
Very good explanation. What can be the maximum size difference between the driver & driven gear . If the teeth profile of two mating gears is exactly same , can we mesh any output driven gear of infinite size with any smallest possible input gear (driver ). My second question - in the practice example of compound gears A, B , C & D ( 12, 24, 12 & 18 teeth ) , can we calculate how much toque is at gear C ? & how to calculate that
Hi Maam how to find suitable numbers of theeth pairs on the ratio For example I have 3stage helical gearbox for 500 center distance and their ratio is 108.755=109 and there center hight=195 so how to find their suitable numbers of gears and pinion teeth pairs
Or I'm not good at grammar. All people have strengths and weaknesses. I hope the mathematical point still comes across despite my poor choice of words.
Thank you, love your explanation and your laughter ❤
Informative.

Beautifully done, flawless!
How did you get that X n 1? Btw nice explanation 😀

Great video. A lot better than some that I seen.
Thanks!
V🎉formula on how to calculate teeth geers of diameter.
Hi Maam how to find suitable numbers of theeth pairs on the ratio

Just a ratio. So what this tells you is that your drive shaft will turn 4.37 times for one full revolution of your final drive or rear wheels
Thank you very much! This is the video I was looking for. Great video!
Thanks a lot, very simplified and easy to understand!! I appreciate you makimg this video!
you are my favorite love your math
So 4:32 the input 20 teeth is 1.5 and output teeth 30 teeth is 1 ?
Excellent video. Thanks
Thank you very much I was looking for it and I got a right video 🙏
so excellent
tusen takk
Perfect thanks for that explanation
What softwar do you use to prepare you lessons?
I love machines, but the mathematics would rack my brain
vice versa for me.
👍👍👍
Äzi eller bruning?
Really great video .
Thanks Wadi
15:23 "fewer revolutions," not "less." i knew you weren't smart.

@@jennlexmond5738 yes the mathematics are superb. Most of us appreciate your work. Thank you.
