I honestly do the same, I keep gas and groceries on my card cause I use apps that get cash back rewards and it is easier like you said 💞
Same for the direct debiting, in Australia a lot is done through direct debit like rent, gas, electric, etc. So it does make it hard to cash stuff and was trying to figure out how to do it/where to start. I like your idea in stuffing what is remaining so I'll start with that :)
