Congrats on the harvest. Thats some geeat meat you got their. Good to see that you did all the processing yourself, you'll get more out of it and better quality. Great family time doing it also. Take care.
Like writer Pat McManus says its way better to be a yup then a nope when it comes to a successful trip. Great job, with a full woodshed and a freezer full of meat you like us are ready for winter.
Am sure the video camera does not capture the majesty of those fall colors. How awesome to take a nice bull moose with your teenage sons in God's creation. What a gift. A memory they can cherish.
I bet his heart was just unbeaten when he was shooting I know mine was when I shot mine two bowls in the same spot and then when we had to pack him out I decided to make a pack sack out of that front quarter skin like the old days packed it out on my back he's got to make sure you don't fall down because you ain't going to get back up with it on your back we had to pack ours out in the dark not a good idea being that there was bears around pax three quarters out that night next day we got a logging outfit to run the skitter in there go back the rest out just gave my bottle of whiskey he was happy😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
Back to Editing you might say...i didn't stop filming...but the edits take some time and I had a lot invested in my day job this summer. Cody is about an Inch shy of Luke but probably has 10 pounds on him. They are both knocking at my door and I'm just a little over 6'2"
Back in the 1970s when my dad and them went on a moose hunting dad got charged by a bull ended up shooting it that was when they used to hunt with the old 3030 turned out the bull was a little bit small for that area so they drove really fast to a different area where they were allowed under size tagged it there and brought it home😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
Maybe I'll do a whole processing video next time, but its hard to video log a process when your hands are covered in meat and you are trying to keep the whole team motivated to get the process done quick. Taking video slows down the process quite a bit.
Been out for 3 weeks now trying to fill this moose draw in central British Columbia and I’ve only seen 4 cows and 1 small bull out of the area we were legal in so had to pass him up but tomorrow is my last day and gonna get out early so wish us luck guys
thats a great pro tip...that fat tends to get pretty melted towards the end. we did run the fat partially frozen, but sometimes even that isnt enough. thanks for the tip on the icecubes!
Where are the boys girlfriends? They should be helping. Good to see a normal family at work. Raised my 4 and now they are enjoying family lives of their own in eastern cities and the islands of Hawaii. Do everything you can to keep traditions men…. Cook the meat well and enjoy and remember.
In the intro, he said you're doing a subsistence hunt. ANY bull moose. But you're saying the antlers have a to be a certain size. The 2 statements have me confused. 🤯🤯
If your bull didn't have a 50 inch spread, you better hope the ADFG doesn't see this. Tines have to be taller than wider at the base and that tine isn't gonna cut it.
You didn't finish the video😉. You should probably watch it through because i say the spread in the video a couple of times. And yes I agree the "4th" browtine does not meet the ADF&G requirement

Congratulations!! Putting meat in the freezer, feeding the family. Nicely done. 🇺🇸🇺🇸
You do right by your children. They are wonderful young men. I do not know much about hunting; but, you guys did great! God bless you all.

Success! All that meat looks beautiful. Curious, how long it took to carve it up on the site. I'm sure you kept a sharp look out for bears.
Field processing took between 2-3 hours

I couldn't tell if she was cleaning the blade by poking that thing through it. If you throw a handful of ice cubes down it.

How far did you hike from your 4 wheelers to your hunting spot?
1/4 mile, basically to the top of the saddle. 1/2 mile for the final stalk
Which boy do you mean tell me

They don't have any official girlfriends yet...that day will come, probably sooner than later.

we hunted the subsistence hunt in August and didn't get one, then hunted the state hunt that was antler restricted in September
This makes me sick
Congratulations, well done Gentleman. Remember to get out and vote. Remember what Project 2025 wants to do with our public lands.
