Please pray for my daughter, she has been drug and alcohol free for three years. Tonight she went to the store store, she was outside, when she came inside it was clear she was drunk. Her children didn't want her around her grandbabies before she was sober. She's a awesome mom and grandma. Please pray for her and our family. Thank you. Pastor Gary has opened my mind and heart for Jesus so much. Thank you.
Thank you for such a powerful message. 🙏 praying that the body of Christ will have ears to here and eyes to see what the Spirit of God is saying to us. In Jesus name

@@suehix5711 you have been my prayer from the time I replied! I'm still learning this "Lord of ALL" and I have given my life to Jesus 40 some years ago! It's a heart thing, I think he mentioned that in this sermon too, it's always a heart thing. Don't be problem oriented, our Father knows way ahead what we need!
I remember always being confused about the ebenezer word when I'd hear that song. I always meant to look it up. But by the time the song would finish, I'd forget. I adore the song, but we didn't sing it very often. And when I'd read this passage, I'd forget about the song. So the two things never came together in my mind. It wasn't until a few years ago, when a friend and I were preparing to sing at a women's event and were rehearsing the song, that we finally looked it up!
Also, why can't we have songs so theologically rich, lyrically complex, and melodically beautiful anymore? This is hard for me to even say. I used to be part of the music team at my church, now many years ago. We did a lot of (at the time) popular / modern songs. So I'm not the snooty, "only hymns", type of person. But even songs we sang back then that were perhaps lighter in theology than the classic hymns were brilliant compared to some of the stuff of today. I guess I'm just getting old!
Jews in Beit Shemesh were struck dead for looking at the ark of the covenant. 1 Sam 6:16. I heard that you said Jews in Kirjath-jearim were struck. jearim is forests
If an Israelite lives in the midst of people that disobey God and those that are disobeying haven't been punished or received that hardship you teach about, the Israelites living amongst those doing wickedly will have hardship that wasn't brought on by God. Did God warn Sodom and Gomorrah, and the people in Noah's day of the coming destruction and punishment by God before He destroyed? Scripture doesn't say He earned the people about the wickedness they were doing. Scripture doesn't say God tried to change them. He only warned Lot and Noah because God found righteousness in them.
In the days of Noah the people laughed at him for 100 years while he was building, is that not a warning? For those who have eyes to see the warning sure was visible.
@@kleineroteHex Indeed! I don't remember how long he took to build it, so I will take your word that it was 100 years. But I do remember it was a long, long time. They had plenty of time. Remember, He also gave the Canaanites 400 years to repent! He is SO merciful. And even if there's no explicit warning, we KNOW when we do wrong. Romans 1 says we are without excuse.
That is where in that moment in time when Israel desired to have an earthly king and reject God that is where Sadducees and Pharisees were born. Exactly in that moment they were born and shaped, unfortunately, for all of us and by the way, which is too very unfortunate, those Sadducees and Pharisees are still living among us up to this very day
