I find it ironic that, in regards to the first story, I find it a lot more frightening to think that there is some sociopathic human trafficker living amongst us in disguise, rather than there being a real human/reptile monster out there.
(Yes, ik the story is probably fake, but it's amusing to think that the author thought the "real" monster is scarier than the human one).
To acknowledge the harm humans can make is more sad than anything else and human beings are very complex so you would have to know the state of mind of certain person in order for them to be scary, You wouldn't say the same thing if you meet with one of those reptile monsters (if they existed) because it wouldn't make you intelectualize anything you would just look at them and run away, making them more scary
@@LuisAngel-mu4zv Interesting argument, though I disagree. I don't have to understand the complexities of human mind to fear humans. I can fear them simply based on their actions. A man who has, by his own admission, trafficked other people for profit is more scary to me than a reptilian monster who was minding his own business until said trafficker came to kidnap him. Sure, maybe we can argue that humans are instinctively more afraid of things that are different to us, but once we move past that initial primitive fear response, we are able to see that the heartless human who hurts others for profit is more a danger to us than the reptilian monster who killed to survive (as far as we know). So the knowledge that there are people like him living in disguise amingst us is more scary to me than the knowledge that there are reptilian monsters also living in disguise amongst us since we have no knowledg if they attack even when unprovoked, unlike the human.
Honestly, I find the entire idea unnerving for sure. The only difference is, my belief revolves around the fact that they can bleed, just like us. If they can bleed, they can die. If they try something, well officer, I don't know how that gravestone showed up in my backyard 🤷😂

The woman's voice is kinda hard to listen to because I can hear the moisture in her mouth as weird as that sounds
it's like she's sitting too close to her mic and it's picking up every tiny sound.
She's a very good narrator, but the mic is dodgy or she hasn't got good editing software. Looking on her channel she doesn't have many views, so hopefully featuring more like this will give her the boost needed to sort that and then grow.
It's not so bad of you aren't listening at full volume or with head phones, but I'm sure she'll get things sorted out when she gets more followers. She has a very lovely, soothing voice for listening while sleeping!

@@laurenprice0428 usually headphones are designed to amplify sound, and cancel outside noise, especially the kinds we insert into our ear canals. I was listening without earbuds/headphones and I didn't notice it as much. Sometimes, headphones are great! Like with music, they can help pick up parts of a song you wouldn't have noticed without them, but they can amplify subtle sounds we don't like too.

@The Sigma Freak The dark web really isn’t all that exciting, it’s mostly drugs, lots of weird or straight up illegal porn and other sex stuff, scammers running fake hitman sites and various honeypots. If you look at the sources of these stories you’ll see that they were posted on r/nosleep, which is a subreddit made for posting fictional scary stories as if they’re real. So it’s quite obvious these stories are fiction, but they’re still enjoyable.

Selecting someone's death bothers me far less than the thought of people killing animals...
Animals trigger a strong empathic response in me as well. It's not that humans don't, but it's like there's an added layer for animals. Maybe because they are extra helpless or innocent and in need of protection? Idk really. Just recognize it happens.

Agreed. I can’t stand how it’s become such a politicized term with negative connotations. Although it is somewhat accurate while used in a strictly military context. Firstly there’s no such thing as an assault rifle secondly what most people tend to assume it would be one is an A.R. 15 which stands for ArmaLite rifle version 15 that fires a 5.56 mm or .223 caliber bullet nobody on this planet would use that for hog hunting don’t get me wrong I like the stories I just dislike when authors don’t do a little bit of due diligence and research... yes conversely you can use an AK 47 which fires a 7.62 mm bullet fun fact for those of you following along the AR 15 and the AK 47 civilians get our single shot they are semi automatic meeting one trigger one bullet they are not fully automatic meeting trigger pole until magazine empty or jam Most civilians are not allowed to own fully automatic rifles without either illegal modification or a lot of permits plus you wouldn’t hunt fully auto anyway because your aim would suck
