Imagine a video where 4 warhammer UA-camrs played Elden ring, and one of them is you and me
If I could do UA-cam full time, I’d be down for this but I just don’t have that much free time nowadays. I’ll probably play Elden Ring with my wife as a date idea, but I don’t plan to colab a game this long with other UA-camrs
Oh MAN I love this thing, I remember starting a playthrough after a good few fire mage/two hander playthroughs and deciding to roleplay as a pikeman soldier from medival times with this halberd and the chainmail set, thought it might be a a bit challenging but stumbled into a easy AF playthrough that was FUN as F**k. God makes me wanna do it again maybe slap some mods on an give it a go.
I think the most underappreciated weapons in DS are all those that really exist in our world (zweihander, bastard sword, halberd, rapier etc.), I mean Moonlight great sword sword, all those fancy black knight weapons seem to have better everything but they allways look ridicules on character (it's not that he can jump or carry 2,5 meter long Dragonslayer and swing it just like short swords with one hand and role with it)
I did a zweihander run, and it was really frustrating cuz my sword would hit the walls all the time instead of the enemies
@@gamingrambles I dropped zweihander for bastard sword and diffrence is night and day (all tho you lose significant damage from it) great swords like bastard and claymore have different move sets for twohanding and one handing them. While one handed they cover large area (classic side to side swing) and they are good for clearing groups of enemies, while twohanding they have horizontal swing (over the head swing) which is great for clearing hallways and taking mobs out of their shield stance and has much bigger poise damage then poking weapons, plus it easily dispatches those flys in blight town. I remember how much easier was for me on first playthrough (although there was still timing issue but I managed).
This is actually my favourite weapon in the entire series. Still pissed how much they ruined it in Dark Souls 2.
YES!!! Someone else gets it. I picked up the weapon in DS2 and the move set was totally different. I was just like, ok I guess I’m using the rapier then

@@dwarfminerwillie the normal rapier is really good. But I also never want to play DS2 again

0:37 can anybody explain to me, why do I "lose balance" with certain weapons, even thou I have the right stats to wield it?
Thrust is so useful. Just used halberd in my last playthrough.

Fuck yeah Halberd, I've been trying other stabby weapons and other polearms and Halberd still hasn't failed me.
You forgot to mention that not only does it have an R1 Thrust, but it's a wide-radius thrust. You can easily make up the lack of an R1 sweep by just backing up, letting the enemies form a perfect cone for you, and now you're hitting a bunch at once, with greater ability than spear weapons. (The only downside relative to spear is the lack of a shielded poke attack, but come on, worth it.) The fact that your enemies practically run into your Halberd make it such an easy weapon to use.

I heard its the highest DEX scaling weapon, so I would love to try it one of these days
@@gamingrambles It's the actual most overpowered weapon in the game. Pair it with the dark wood grain ring and you become an unstoppable badass
