This is it...this is the fan noise ive been looking for. I think its the lack of the "hiss" that most mics pick up from the wind. You can hear that flutter..that sort of vibration of the fan blades fluttering as they spin. Its the perfect fan sound.

I've been searching for this type of fan noise for a couple of years now. I've always loved the sound of those big pedestal fans, with the wire cage covers over the steel blades. Usually I'd only see them used in warehouses, or barns for moving the air around, and I'd always get a little sleepy when I'd hear them running. I always thought; "I'd love to curl up on one of the shelves, behind some boxes, and let that fan lull me to sleep."

You're a Godsend. This is so perfect it makes me tear up a little. It's just home, all the way from when I was a child, taking a long winter's nap in a dark room with my Grandparents making me feel safe and loved. The amount of comfort hearing this at night gives my chaotic, ravaged brain is hard to describe. My little worrier six-year-old is now also addicted to the sound with the black screen. I am 66 years old and I grew up in West Texas. We did not have air conditioning and it was hot but not humid. We used fans a lot. Now the sound of a fan takes me back immediately to my childhood. It is such a comforting sound.

I’m thinking a lot of the folks who come to this page for restful sleep may be boomers or seniors who were kids in th e 1950’s when few homes were air conditioned. Fans were the way to cope with summertime heat. As I listen, I am transported to around age 5, curled up in the stream of air flow and dozing off with a smile on my face and not a care or worry. Sheer joy at that age. Thank you for this excellent recording; background music from my childhood .
At home my baby sleeps with a ventilator. Now she’s in the hospital where there is airconditioning. So this is a great help for her to calm down. Thank you.

I just found the sound myself it reminds me of whenever I was a kid and I used to go spend the night at my aunt's house with my cousins and she didn't have a c so we would have a fan like this in the window and we would pull the bed close to the window and like tac sheets above it so it would blow cold air up under the sheets. Recently, the only one out of my friend group who could drive got in an accident. He was always driving us around to places and even turned down money to help him cover the gas he spent on us. Watching this kind of reminded me of sneaking out late, having fun with friends, and him driving me home cause I wasn’t sober enough to get myself home. Hell, he was always the only one sober, just so we’d get home alright. I miss you buddy, thanks for the drive home.

Childhood memories flashback in the small town, while this noise that once came from a fan that my father owned, override the crickets and katydids and the sound of the 5am train 🚂 coming in from the tracks. Thanks for this upload. My father has since passed, but I feel his presence and repeated memory with the sounds of what once was.

I think this is absolutely wonderful! I love how the doors are open - and the rain and storm sounds reflect that. These sounds are different if you are listening to them through closed windows. I love how you’ve done this - you’ve nailed it! The only thing I don’t understand is the window to the far right, over the desk. The sky outside is a dark blue... why is this square a light blue? Above the couch outside, there are trees... but the sky above it is light blue? I’m not sure if I’m explaining that properly - I’m sorry if I’m not! Everything else is perfect. I love the colours, I love how the bed is unmade - it’s more inviting that way... like you just got out to go to the washroom, and you’re headed back to bed, and this is what you see. The plants inside are lovely. The five warm golden lights are wonderful! They really help to set the cozy tone! The hanging chair is perfect. I’d love to see a little side table next to it with an open book and a tea cup. It would be nice to see a few stars in the deep blue sky. These are just ideas popping into my head. It’s still perfect just the way it is.

OMG THIS WAS AMAZING I am staying at a hotel rn and I forgot my fan at home, and so I searched for a fan blowing video and I found the best one. It doesn’t stop in the middle of the night, it doesn’t have ads, and best of all it sounds like a real fan, my fan to be exact. From a certain angle it is the best and because of this I got a goodnight of sleep!!
I was gonna buy a fan after my last one broke. I don't need one anymore tho because now I just listen to this. I prop my phone up on the windowsill, hit play, adjust the volume and that's it.

This is perfect!! I've tried many different devices, videos, and sound mixers, this one puts me right to sleep. Reminds me of sleeping in a hammock in the cargo section of a C-130, it puts me right to sleep.

It’s so nice and calm like it’s a sound in the background but one which helps me feel tired yet exited to listen this even though it’s plain but helps me since I usually visit my family’s home country a lot and the fan sound reminds me of how often it was used since it is really hot there and just allows me to sleep feeling good and in a better mood, (so hard to explain it rn)
