I feel like I've been waiting for this deck my entire life. I literally have like 4/5ths of the cards already, due to my proclivities towards rat decks, vehicle decks, and artifact-matters decks. RAT GANG FOREVER
greasefang is a deck you can run any vehicle you want in. i run both demolition stomper and thundersteel colossus, both of which end up crushing entire boards early game or end up being incredible blockers if need be. greasefang is a commander who lets you run bulk bin vehicles as stars of the deck, and any commander with that kind of power is A tier in my book
You already had my attention with the preview list you'd published earlier, but now I'm sold! Will be testing this out with some friends in the following weeks!
I for one welcome our furry artist overlords. They bring... interesting art to our game. Seriously, I love Greasefangs new illustration, it just has a more punky aesthetic.
Ey yo bruv, you tickled my nostalgia senses with your Biker Mice from Mars reference 😂 This deck seems 🔥 I was pretty interested in trying out vehicles for the first time and was debating whether to go Shorikai or Greasefang. You just got me to make my choice 😂
Rats of Rath seem like a good option for blowing up your things. Is a Rat, cheap, two power and the activated ability can be used even if they crew something.
New to the Greasefang deck. I think she might replace Ink-Eyes as my favorite commander/legendary. Two cards that I have that might be spicy choices are Claws of Gix (Okay not that spicy, CoG is a good general sac outlet), and one of my all-time favorite Useless Cards: Despotic Scepter! Greasefang builds a ride out of junk, decides she doesn't like it, and smashes it with the scepter to go back to the drawing board.
yes both awesome picks - they were spiking around Strixhaven due to Beamtown Bullies but if you can get them cheap they're great adds! There have been a lot of new vehicles added recently too that make great updates to the deck
Had an idea of rat/ninja/vehicle for a while, just a lot of different sets they are from 😅 I have an old rat ninja 60 card deck somewhere, sadly no marrow gnawer. Personally i want to go without colony, pack and relentless rats, and just have different rats and effects, as i find that more interesting in terms of gameplay. Enchantments, artifacts(non vehicles) ofcourse. Some ways to make pilot tokens, maybe banner to beef up all rats.
@CommanderMechanic I'd also recommend going with the gutter rat thief theme by getting nautiloid ship so you can steal from your opponents or some of the astartes vehicles to get more big ships and create body guards
Quick question: After building this deck I've ran into my problem of top decking by turn 5-6. My play group is usually 3 man free for all. Any suggestions that still fit the theme with more card drawing?
Reckoner Bankbuster and Smuggler's Copter are your two best on-theme card draw options. If you want more you're straying a LITTLE off course but Greed and Underworld Connections would both fit too.
Biker mice from Mars! Ah, brings back memories. Terrible series, but I still hum the theme song to this day. Thanks for this deck tech! PS: when will you do a Samurai Pizza Cats deck?
I had tried it initially but with it conflicting with casting Greasefang and causing play patterns that could soft-lock some decks I decided to leave it out.
@@CommanderMechanic And the new vehicles! Reaver Titan, Knight Paladin and Unidentified Hovership. *Chef kiss* Add Cynical Loner has the "April O'Neil" of the gang.

Was honestly about to build this deck after pulling Greasefang in a booster, what great timing!
and teleportation circle is going to go in mine for sure
Same!

It's legit, I'll be playing it on stream this weekend too!

I like the story you made up for this deck!
This decks seems like a blast to play!!!!

Glad you enjoyed!

Oh, that's a neat little piece of tech!
Another reason why I love EDH. Dig up all the old cards.
Rats of rath saved my parhelion from being exiled a few times.
This was a lovely video! Well done sir!
Thank you kindly!
Looks super cool! Glad I ordered too many rat colonies for my rat colony + thrumming stone deck, it'll make building this a little easier.
Good stuff here, was thinking about making a third vehicle deck with Greasefang.

I have been trying to optimize my greasefang and I think rats is the way to go. Definitely neeed more
We're getting LOTS of new rats in Eldraine! now's a good time to revisit the theme

Best Rat Pack since Frank, Dean and Sammy
Ya baby, these ones are taking over Vegas too!

PS: when will you do a Samurai Pizza Cats deck?
uh when I get a Spritz T. Cat analogue in Magic
Rat Gang!
Thunderhawk gunship
How about adding cards like Attrition? a black enchantment that lets you sacrifice a creature then destroy a non-black creature?
I had tried it initially but with it conflicting with casting Greasefang and causing play patterns that could soft-lock some decks I decided to leave it out.
2 years later and ohhhh... the options.
Rat fans be eating good

what happened to the deck list?
there's nothing wrong with it? it's linked in the description.
RAT GANG!
