- Sunset is a song about rising up and standing up for oneself. It's about keeping the faith that dusk is followed by bright, flaming dawn. It's also about keeping one's head above the water and never losing faith in oneself. And never hesitating to stand up for what one believes is right.
This song is loosely based on Nitin's life in South Africa, where he went to school. The song showcases an element of alienation that one feels in a strange, new land. And the clashes that are inevitable because of power equations that form when different cultures come together.

love nitin sawhney but the way the female vocalist sang in Bangla just put me off. very sad.
It was hard for me to understand my mother toungue Bengali :( ! The pronounciation should be corrected.
English part was of course good.
Remember it is sung by a non-bengali. She is doing her best you know!
The Bengali part was just horrible. But I won't blame Nicki for that. At least she tried! Kudos to that. But the total thing would have been much much better if some Bangali folk sang that Bangla part. And the lyrics shared in the description is also wrong. Other than those flaws in Bengali section, the rest was simply mindblowing! hats off people!
