The one thing I notice and appreciate when you film at a course you've played at many many times that you make it seem like it's your very first time playing that course and that makes us the viewers feel like it's our first time seeing that course.
I purposely do that in case there’s new ppl that have never seen that course before in an older video. Almost like every video is its own entity and none of the videos have connection to each other. Sure we’ll make references to past times playing sometimes, but we don’t want a new viewer to feel out of the loop ever and I think that helps 😊
🦋I enjoy watching you replay courses. The turf changes, maybe the location changed something on the holes, sometimes it’s just humorous to watch how your attitudes or the way your feeling changes the play. Seeing the family also adds some variety. Grandmas hole in one was a great one. You should keep track of how many rocks Elisha hits and/or how many times you almost lose her tripping over obstacles. You keep playing. We’ll keep watching.
Seriously, you guys are awesome. It's always entertaining. One thing I love is how genuine everything is. Thanks for all you sacrifice to keep us amused. Aside from FL, Myrtle, and Pigeon Forge, where else do you really enjoy going to do content?
This video is helping me so much in understanding how we do editing for our videos that we shoot… I love your content! I like the nonlinear approach to shooting your videos
Thanks, Brooks, for your explanation. You seem to have a pretty good system to keep us BHV nuts happy. I didn't realise you took so many videos per road trip. I've been enjoying your vlogs too, particularly your experience with the Tesla. It's not the car for me, but it's still interesting.
Thanks for explaining why you do things the way you do. I love watching you guys play. I also love playing mini golf. My dad and I used to play all the time.
🦋I found your videos during the pandemic when I was stuck at home, and they provided a nice distraction from everything, and allowed me to feel like I was outside a bit with you two. I've continued to watch because I enjoy watching the two of you, and I'm hoping I might get to visit some of the courses you've been to this summer!
Thanks for the insight. It's always interesting how creators set up their release schedule and I have wondered how you do it to fit with the largely seasonal activity that mini golf is.
Think of it as a TV show episode. The shows are recorded ahead of time and released at a later date. This is the BHV mini golf series that never get cancelled 😂
Yeah I see what you're saying with this comment even though a TV series is filmed way in advance they are still uploaded in order but like what he said that doesn't matter for his channel unless maybe he sees a course that is in bad need of repair and then someone sees the video and decides not to play it because of the repair the courses need and between the time frame of it being filmed and uploaded it could already be fixed. 😊
🦋 appreciate all the work that goes into road teipping for filming, filming on locations, and the second road trip home. All before you even sit down to edit. Thank you goes out to the extra bonus editors, too.
🦋 I first discovered yous on facebook, and the videos that are “new” on there are the same videos. Some are like 3/4/5 years old. Then jumped into your UA-cam which is much better and videos are greater.
🦋🦋🦋 Your right about your videos not being time sensitive. When I first found you, I would watch 2 or 3 of your old videos and then the new video everyday. Thanks for the content.
I think it as a TV show. I dont know care what time or year it comes out. As long there is video to watch and fun to witch. I will never complane about it. I love watching you guys. 🦋
Thank you for all the work you put into these videos. It is an escape, and I look forward to new videos. I would love it if you came to Michigan, but I definitely understand why you can’t
I greatly enjoy your videos. Your channel, your release dates. I also do not need mini-golf videos same day. As long as they are still in business, I’m good. I recognize that there are certain content creators that have to try to be first, or at least same day based on what they cover. . If there is a new festival at Epcot, Disney parks folks need to get their content out asap. Posting it 3 months later would certainly destroy the relevance. Upside for you is hopefully less stress. Best to you both.
Great video! It answers several questions I’ve had for a long time. Regarding reposting videos, I was impressed on how fast you reposted the video a few weeks back after the editing error that left in Elisha’s mermaid comment!
I myself did take a class in video production in high school. So I can understand in a perspective that it does take time to 1, get the video taken, 2 get it inputed, 3 edited, 4 proof edit, 5 send out. Along with all the traveling and that kinda booking stuff, oof. Good Job on you for keep going.
🦋 I always appreciate your efforts to find new courses. I had no idea, for example, how many great courses there are in New Jersey until your videos there. I'd love to see a trip out west again sometime soon, as Texas and Colorado have a lot of good courses.
🦋 I enjoy the mixed content, it would get boring watching the same coarse 4 times in a row, Love it when you play with family also, please do a few more with Mom and Dad etc. TY
Brooks, your channel is the best. You take all the time you need to make a video.. I, for one, fully appreciate everything you and Elisha release. Your content has made my day on many occasions. 😃⛳
It's awesome how big your channel has grown i first started watching on facebook, been watching o youtube since you had 105k subs even if I miss a week or 2 I go back and watch them all
I understand the whole process. What I found most interesting is why you don't say when the video was filmed. I had no idea people thought the videos were live. Although, based on comments I read on celebrity fan pages, people actually think the celebrity is the one posting comments and pictures. Anyway, thanks for the explanation. It is kind of fun when you watch a video and Elisha has a completely different hairstyle/color than something she just posted on instagram. They, I try to figure out how old the filming is.🦋
We LOVE what the 2 of you do. Thanks for filling us in on your process, your hard work shows in the quality of the videos you put out. It's been a lot of fun watching both of you grow and mature. I really wish that I could meet you to thank you for the thought and effort BOTH of you put out for us. ❤ BTW, let Elisha know that it's wonderful to watch HER as you explain things to us! ..... and Elisha's bucket hat is CUTE!!! 🦋🦋🦋
🦋 You're right, actual date doesn't matter. I do find it fun to try to figure out the approximate filming dates using clues in the video... a bit of extra "game". Keep up what you two are doing... I look forward to seeing your videos.
🦋🦋🦋 Thank you Brooks. The way you explained things makes sense to me. Unfortunately there's going to be people that either don't get it or don't like the way you do things but that's their problem not yours, you can't please everyone. I knew that you had a backlog of new videos waiting to be edited and released but I didn't know you had so many. I'm really glad that you two have found a way of doing things that works for you and helps you to stay sane and not get burned out. My favorite videos of you two are the ones where you're laughing and having fun and Elisha gets distracted by critters and the normal things. lol
@@brooksholttravels you're welcome. I enjoy your videos and I consider myself lucky to be able to watch them. I've been debating on whether or not to say anything because I don't want this to be a shameless plug. I'm not trying to plug my channel at all. I don't care about likes, views, and subscribers. I'm doing this to share my videos with my friends and for the fun of it. I know that Elisha loves animals and I've found ways of recording the wildlife who visit my property if she wants to take a look at my videos. Only if she wants to though. If she doesn't want to then that's fine too. If sharing stuff on UA-cam becomes to much of a job for me and/or I don't enjoy it anymore then I'll probably stop doing it.
"Stay one speed" Amen, brother. I can't stand when people don't use cruise control on the highway *gets off soapbox* Appreciate the video and the explanation! Keep up the great content!
🦋🦋 I have asked for filming dates before, especially when you were in Wisconsin Dells, because my family used to live up that way and my daughter wants to meet you both. Explanation makes perfect sense and keep having fun!
Thank you for sharing your process of how you release videos. Makes sense to me why you do it the way you do. Am curious as to how you decide what courses to play/shoot. My guess if you have not been to an area would be a google search and suggestions from followers,🦋
🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋 or 🧈🧈🧈🧈🧈🧈🧈🧈Regardless huge respect to you and Elisha for doing things you do. For keeping us entertained, for making us laugh / cry (sometimes yelling at our screens), for baring the elements, for hitting rocks that seem to pop out from nowhere, and for all *"Dang Flabbits!"* Keep up great work, do not be discouraged; just know that somewhere out there someone has smiled / laughed / cheered / cried at everything you brought us thus far. 🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋
🦋 Totally understand the process. Timing is not important; your videos are ageless. IMHO opinion the only thing you are really missing is a solid opening to the start of each and every video. For example, you could put together a quick little funny compliation of some of the best and worst times you both have shared in the past, with music behind it to start each video (your "theme song"). That then fades into your logo (which should read Brooks & Elisha MiniGolf). This becomes your "branding" and welcomes newcomers to the channel so they know who you guys are and what you do. Think of it like the opening to a syndicated tv show. After that template opening "branding" is done, then show the name and address of the course you are playing at in this video. Do this again at the end of the video. That way if viewers like what they watch, they can pause the video, take a screenshot of the address and plan a trip there.
🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋 I'm in the process of rewatching the videos you posted three years ago with my partner. While also watching your newly released content. It is interesting to see how you two have changed over the years, in particular Elisha.
Love these also - I think I seen a video of yours once that you showed on FB where the courses ya have been to...Wish you had a google earth/maps file to share and they could link to these videos-- If you don't have enough going on ...smile 🦋
That was a great explanation Brooks and also a great way to manage your time and life :) Well done. I don't really comment but I have been watching you for a long time now and enjoy you and Elisha
🦋 Y’all are sincerely my favorite UA-camrs. All of the channels, every video makes my day better and happier. My life hasn’t been the same since losing my mother awhile back, but having these videos gives me a sense of normality and joy that I had when she was alive. The videos with Donnie and Rhonda especially, y’all have almost become an extension of my own family.
I'm sorry for your loss man. I am in the same boat, I found my dad dead in his bed last year July 24th and life has been so different, I already deal with depression and social anxiety and general anxiety, so losing my dad who was like my best friend is still so hard on me even though it's almost been a year.
We all just love watching your interactions between each other. Just enjoy life! I do look forward to the 'next' video. No explanation is nessessary as to how you run your channel. Keep up your excellent work. I don't know how to add a butterfly emoji!! LOL!
I understand the life of a You Tube Superstar is tuff making as many videos as you do it's hard to keep track of everything something is going to get lost in the frey and be behind schedule still Love both of you and Thank you to the other editor for doing what you can to Help ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
🦋 As someone who competes in ninja competitions and has to sometimes travel from gym to gym which can be 3 hours from home I understand why breaks from traveling are so important to prevent burnout because after a few months of traveling for competitions even though I love them it is important to find that rest point for a short time period and then go back out and do more
There’s a course y,all haven’t released yet it’s Oasis ranch Seneca South Carolina that vid was filmed October 2022 that’s a vid that’s probably in your backlog of vids still to release.
🦋 You guys are always fun to watch and it doesn't matter it if just the 2 of you or if the whole family is involved, love the competitive and fun nature between all of you. It doesn't matter if I'm watching and old video or a current new video i love them all. I do have 1 question for you: On each trip and "new season" of mini golf videos do you have a tour schedule of each trip for that year? MERCH IDEA: how about making double sided shirts on the front a random scene from either course or a family photo, and on the back the tour schedule for the year (kinda like what bands do with their tour schedule shirts).
🦋🦋🦋My husband and I love watching your guys videos. It has become our nightly routine to watch your videos together before we go to bed. Love your guys content. Keep up all the great work you guys do.
🦋🦋🦋🦋 My wife and I LOVE your content. Every evening we watch Good Mythical Morning and then you guys while making and eating dinner together, and it's absolutely the highlight of our day together. Thanks for being so awesome!
Hey Brooks, thank you for clearing up the editing and release schedule. I have been a fan for about a year and a half and never try to miss a released mini golf video, in hopes of local to me (Philly) videos get released and can try some of the “recommended” courses out in my area. You both do great content. Thought: Will you ever batch the course/area up into a playlist, so that fans can see the great progress you both have made of the tips/tricks you have learned playing courses multiple times over the years (i.e. Mt. Atlanticus: first to recent, and see how low the scores have come down over time and watch the tips/tricks you have learned about the course over time) 🦋🦋
I do have playlists of all the courses in each city area we play (like Myrtle beach, Chicago, etc). I don’t know if they’re in order, but I do try to constantly update them with new videos from each area we film in.
@@brooksholttravels I’ve really enjoyed the behind the scenes videos from the travels channel to at least get a sense of the road trips you and Elisha do, and gives a timestamp of when the mini golf courses were filmed for perspective. Continue to do the great work (hopefully a sub who is good with editing might offer to chip in with the backlog, lol) BTW, always Team Elisha!! lol
@brooksholttravels thanks to those "by area" playlists, I found a course I didn't know existed near where my youngest lives with their dad. Thats on our plan for next month for my birthday (fellow July baby)
15:05 I half stopped listening cause i understood it and was like let me see if i know where you are exactly (I live less than 30 min east of madison and an hour west of milwaukee like a straight line between them) so I knew you had to be on a road ive been on thousands of times (i-94) and litterly like 10 seconds later the grey building I was like wait wait wait...I think I know where it is wait a couple seconds and im like yup I knew it and now I went back to the very beginning to see how far away you exactly where from my house Literally only 10 minutes is crazy Edit: 🦋 iykyk Also im pretty sure you say it as vi-tense its not as confusing as it is i guess but i knew you were going there its a place i havn't been to in awhile
🦋🦋🦋 These vlogs are a unique opportunity to know you guys away from the golf courses and, sure the regular videos are never repetitive and always fun to watch. Thanks a lot!
🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋Good explanation, but even though others may have needed it I didn't. I figured it out years ago when I started watching your channel, also I am still catching up on your previous videos, and there are lots of them. Which is a very good thing for me. I do miss the videos of your whole family though, your sister was very funny and entertaining. In or out of order doesn't bother me I will watch them all. 🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋
🦋 I made it to the end. Also revisiting courses is good because they may have been redone, returfed or upgraded since you were last there, like when you did Tiki Island on Pensacola beach a few years ago, then revisited after they refurbished it and it became UFO's.
I figured can't do the same courses always, can't also be on the road constantly, so get a bunch of stuff in the can and release it over time. Makes sense.
If you can cross the Border into Canada, Niagara Falls Ontario Has 3 Mini Golf Courses and a Great Chance to see One Of the Greatest Natural Wonders of the World!!
Having discovered them only in the past year, I have a LOT of backlog to get thru. I'm still not watching ONLY BHV vids. It's gonna be a while before I have to be worried about being out of content. Would be nice if people realized they can re-watch old stuff too.
🦋 That’s smart the way you release videos! Shuffling locations makes it interesting!
🦋 I rewatch the videos as I’m going to bed. I laugh at the evolution of Elisha’s style through out the years lol
Thank you for everything you both do. Your videos are amazing, and I enjoy all of them
The one thing I notice and appreciate when you film at a course you've played at many many times that you make it seem like it's your very first time playing that course and that makes us the viewers feel like it's our first time seeing that course.
You do what works. And you do it well these days. We appreciate it. 🦋
:)

🦋 As someone who competes in ninja competitions and has to sometimes travel from gym to gym which can be 3 hours from home I understand why breaks from traveling are so important to prevent burnout because after a few months of traveling for competitions even though I love them it is important to find that rest point for a short time period and then go back out and do more
Thank you for understanding :)
🦋 you guys do you and keep the content and i will keep watching
There’s a course y,all haven’t released yet it’s Oasis ranch Seneca South Carolina that vid was filmed October 2022 that’s a vid that’s probably in your backlog of vids still to release.
🦋 - Brooks, makes perfect sense once you explained it to us. I appreciate you taking the time to explain that to us. Thanks again for the content
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for your time. 🦋🦋
😊
I will keep looking g at all of your videos for a long time. If you want some places in North Georgia let me know and keep up the great work
🦋🦋🦋My husband and I love watching your guys videos. It has become our nightly routine to watch your videos together before we go to bed. Love your guys content. Keep up all the great work you guys do.
🦋 🦋🦋 thank you for everything y’all do, keep on trucking
Butterfly 🦋
“Can’t please everyone” is a motto I’m trying to adopt more I love that’s how you operate
Thank you. It’s the only way I don’t go insane haha
I’ve found that even though I can’t please everyone, I can sure as hell piss off everyone!
🦋🦋🦋🦋 My wife and I LOVE your content. Every evening we watch Good Mythical Morning and then you guys while making and eating dinner together, and it's absolutely the highlight of our day together. Thanks for being so awesome!
Love it! Thanks!
Continue to do the great work (hopefully a sub who is good with editing might offer to chip in with the backlog, lol)
BTW, always Team Elisha!! lol
@brooksholttravels thanks to those "by area" playlists, I found a course I didn't know existed near where my youngest lives with their dad. Thats on our plan for next month for my birthday (fellow July baby)
🦋 No need to explain for me liking the schedule but for some people you may have to doing a great job guys all the best and safe travels
You and your fancy vehicles! 😂. If I had both cruise control and self steering, I’d fall asleep.
15:05 I half stopped listening cause i understood it and was like let me see if i know where you are exactly (I live less than 30 min east of madison and an hour west of milwaukee like a straight line between them) so I knew you had to be on a road ive been on thousands of times (i-94) and litterly like 10 seconds later the grey building I was like wait wait wait...I think I know where it is wait a couple seconds and im like yup I knew it and now I went back to the very beginning to see how far away you exactly where from my house
Literally only 10 minutes is crazy
Edit: 🦋 iykyk
Also im pretty sure you say it as vi-tense its not as confusing as it is i guess but i knew you were going there its a place i havn't been to in awhile
There's a method to madness.. You have enough content to sit back and let the channel run itself.. happy Thursday
Thank you 😊
🦋 we are enjoying these. Almost caught up. You are our dinner entertainment.😊
Love that :)
🦋🦋🦋 These vlogs are a unique opportunity to know you guys away from the golf courses and, sure the regular videos are never repetitive and always fun to watch. Thanks a lot!
Glad you like them all! 😊
🦋 I really appreciate all that y’all do to bring us amazing and fun entertainment! Thank you so much for the explanation and all the awesome videos!!!
Thanks for watching!
You and Elisha do an amazing job! Love your videos and Elisha looks so cute in her hat (looks cute in anything she wears regardless)! 🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋
🦋 thanks for the explanation, love the videos, relaxes me
🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋Good explanation, but even though others may have needed it I didn't. I figured it out years ago when I started watching your channel, also I am still catching up on your previous videos, and there are lots of them. Which is a very good thing for me. I do miss the videos of your whole family though, your sister was very funny and entertaining. In or out of order doesn't bother me I will watch them all. 🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋
😊
🦋 I made it to the end. Also revisiting courses is good because they may have been redone, returfed or upgraded since you were last there, like when you did Tiki Island on Pensacola beach a few years ago, then revisited after they refurbished it and it became UFO's.
🦋 this video was good it was a lot too explain a lot and I see how you do everything you do to put out grat videos
❤ love watching I've been watching since 2020 and I will not stop
I figured can't do the same courses always, can't also be on the road constantly, so get a bunch of stuff in the can and release it over time. Makes sense.
Let’s us have a good variety of both :)
🦋 keep up the good work. You did a greatvjob explaining how you put videos out.
If you can cross the Border into Canada, Niagara Falls Ontario Has 3 Mini Golf Courses and a Great Chance to see One Of the Greatest Natural Wonders of the World!!
🦋 love your videos. Always entertaining
We appreciate what you and Elisha do keep it up❤
🦋 Keep doing what you guys do I 💕 it huge fan.
🦋 You do a great job, keep up the good work! Love your videos 👍😁
🦋 it’s interesting to hear how you do it and I enjoy your videos
Please keep telling us what courses you stop and play at like this one it helps us as viewers know what courses you played
🦋 Thanks for the explanation. Another question for you, how do you know what songs are copyrighted?
Anything I dont own, its copyright owned by bands/labels that can claim it and block the video
🦋Thanks so much for all the amazing videos and effort you put into them for us! Also, love Elisha’s bucket hat!
Thank you for watching them 😊
If people are waiting on your next video because they have exhausted your catalog,😢😢😢 go outside! Y’all have so many videos ! Keep up the great work
Having discovered them only in the past year, I have a LOT of backlog to get thru. I'm still not watching ONLY BHV vids. It's gonna be a while before I have to be worried about being out of content.
Would be nice if people realized they can re-watch old stuff too.
