At one point of my musical journey, I would of been considered an Elitist. I just liked what I liked. But as I've gotten older I've realized there's alot of great music out there, and I want to find it! Thank You for bearing with me on the beginning stages of this channel. Feel free to request any song.

I love all the medieval festivals in Germany and I love Faun,
Im so glad you are here! Appreciate you!
As a German I appreciate that.
"Federkleid" means plumage btw (literally: feather dress); it's a song about birds and feeling like / being a bird.
Holly CRAP!!!! DUDE!!! you are the MAN! I never ever thought I would see someone react to Faun. I used to listen to them like 15+ years ago
YEAAA WE DID IT HERE BABY!
Faun never stopped! They switch out female vocalist here and there but there new stuff over the last 5 yrs is next level
@@I_scribbles I've only heard a few of the newer songs, I'm gonna have to check them out. Have you heard of The Moon and the Nightspirit?
@@dakken74 They also really returned to their roots with their newest album, after their more mainstream phase (from which the song in this video also stems)
The German language can be sooooo beautiful.
I love it!
@@TheWolffAndTheMelody You are absolutely right. Do you know about Oonagh - Faolan? Another example of this.
Not only Rammstein 😉
@@Kelsea-2002 Eldamar and Gaa are amazing too. she's great.
Walpurgisnacht, Diese kalte nacht and this are probably the best imo. These 2 songs are probably comparable to Federkleid. Faun is fantastic
Faun as a band has the power to pull your mind out of a dark and lonely place and make you feel like a bird on the winds or sitting arround a campfire with those most dear to you
Trutly a showing of the power music has on the mind
That's a fantastic way of describing their music.
You going down another huge rabbit hole, they have a twenty year catalog. Amazing music and truly talented performers. Truly at this moment there is probably so much great music out there it would be impossible to listen to it all. I am sometimes tortured by the idea that there is stuff out there that I will never have the time to listen to.
Since you like Faun and Heilung try this
ua-cam.com/video/VEizKmZlUAw/v-deo.html
Einar and the group are geniuses.
Faun is the best example, that German can sound soft and nice. :)
Hey! A hurdy gurdy! And, that one guy stole Tuomas's hat. Seriously, this is beautiful, and joyful, and I loved it.
lol he sure did, I loved this!
The first song/video I every listened to, suggested to me by UA-cam about 2 years ago. I have been totally hooked on Faun ever since.
Dude, now you HAVE to check their collab with Eluveitie. The song is "Gwydion". Great stuff! You should react to more songs from Faun aswell: Unda, Tinta, Wind und Geige, Halloween, Tamlin, Galdra, Walpurgisnacht, Hymne der Nacht, Neun Welten and even more goodness, they are great. Going down the folk/pagan route they are a MUST.
I plan to, I really enjoyed this
There is also another band I can suggest: they are called "Trobar de Morte". They are witchy, wiccan, pagan; that kind of stuff. Here a couple of songs: Summoning the Gods, The Wolf, Iduun, Sacrifice, Plenilunio, The Unquiet Grave, The Black Forest... Enjoy the journey.
One of my favorite of their songs. Listen to "Walpurgisnacht"
You are doing great, there is a holy crap-ton of amazing songs and musicians in the world. On average I'm listening to music 8 hours a day with 30% being new music and I just scratch the surface of what is really being released day to day.
Thank you for covering Faun, a request from yesterday none the less!
Much love, Dylan
appreciate you friend! I'm here for all the new stuff
Federkleid is really a magical song. I don't know why, but it reminds me of autumn in Germany with brown, harvested empty fields, fallen leaves and crows sitting arround on the fields waiting for the winter to come.
Must admit I was shocked to see Faun on a reaction channel. This is Pagen Folk and I have been a Fan for so very long. I have 7 of their albums. They have lost this singer and she was my favorite. 🤘❤️🔥🤘 Fantastic 🥰🥰🇨🇦
Yooooo we follow the music here, and I do what I want lol I loved it and got more coming. I'm so glad you stopped by!
Aw, Faun rule! I am off to a medieval festival in Milan/Italy next weekend and so looking forward to that. :D Have fun!
Ohhhh I wanna come!
How sweet and nicely is your reaction of this incredible Faun song, thank you for that!
This was so lovely and full of light.
Dude, it's all good. Know how swamped people can get, especially when it comes to being a UA-camr. Cool that you are getting to this band and their video.
Have been switched on to this group for less than a week, and I am telling you, they are absolute GOLD!
Have seen and experienced many religions in my years. Wiccan/Pagan is one that I was introduced to several years ago, and because of this group and their music, I rejoined the practice. Walpurgisnacht is another good one that they have done. Come to think of it, all of their stuff that I have listened to has been excellent!
By the way, your reaction is exactly what I would expect from someone that not only hears the music, but FEELS it as well. Music speaks TO the soul and FROM the soul.
If you are wondering, you did good on the pronunciation of the title. This is a German band that started back around '98, if I am remembering correctly. They perform primarily with older types of instruments (yes, that was a hurdy gurdy the guy was playing) on focus primarily on vocals. Pull it off pretty good, don't they?
Apprecoate the kind words friend! Yea, I really enjoyed this.
Unfortunately Faun changes singers quite a bit. This is Katja Moslehner who was my favorite. Though the current lady is more gifted a singer and I like the darker direction of the band currently. I do miss Katja. They collaborate quite often with the worlds greatest folk metal band Eluveitie
federkleid, if i remember right, means feather dress. This is just a badass wedding song that uses hella bird imagery. love it.
I am so happy you did this song today. For today is a very happy day. I am going to spent a whole day with my youngest grandchild (she is 5 years old) and this song was the perfect beginning.
Really happy that you have ventured down this path. There is lot of interesting music in the folk metal genre and I would suggest that you check out the recent collaboration by Faun with the Swiss band Eluveitie with the music video for Gwydion - what could be better than German and Swiss bands singing about a Welsh prince with Eluveitie singing in Welsh?
oh that sounds awesome! Thanks dude
I absolutely concur. Eluvietie is one of my favourite bands🤘🏻🖤. Celts playing metal. Besides, they have the best merch designs 😊
As for Faun, their latest album is absolutely worth a listen!
Oh you found Faun, sweet!
dude, love em
I love listening to it in road trips in the mountains
Its some great music.
It sounds so beautiful, but it is presumably about some kind of Fairies or Ghosts living in the Bog and Beckoning passers-by to walk into it.
And then they appearently grow a "Coat of Feathers" which is the Songtitle, and turn into birds.
You should definitely make a reaction to Deloraine - a Czech fantasy/Slavic/folk band with incredible video clips.
Amazing band, and they have very different kind of vibes depending on the album. The last one is pretty dark, wouldn’t feel out of place in The WITCHER 3
I love that album 🤘🏻
Awesome this is one of my first ones i heard.. and it git me hooked
Cant believe anyone would give grief. Dont stress the haters mate. They aint worth your time.
Just wanted to write a comment to support you and Faun! Great band, not very people know them unfortunately. They are one of the best in modern Folk music.
Ohhh appreciate it dude! Ive enjoyed listening to them
Most of the melody is "Polyushka Polye" an old russian soldier song
I like the old stuff of Faun like "Wind und Geige" or "Cernunnos". They made some good shit back then.
i love music of a language i do not understand, yet it still is just as good as if i knew what it was about.. There are a ton of Bands like this out there . Music, just speaks to the human soul.. its kinda like how Nightwish's Song "Music" tells the story of how its just a part of humans.
Faun, Eivor, Wardruna... I think I may suggest a french one in this style : SKÁLD "Rún " but that's just an idea.
I follow your channel to discover a particular journey in music, and that won't be the same if all our suggestion were to influence too much your own path
Thanks for the guidance friend
@@TheWolffAndTheMelody you open some doors, we suggest some adding windows on the way
Glad you got to react to Faun and that you enjoyed it. May I suggest Garmarna verulven (werewolf)
Anything from Garmarna would be AMAZING! Viridissimma Virga from the Hildegard Von Bingen would be a good choice also.
Oh yes, and "Herr mannelig" too!
or "herr mannelig"
I have heard them described as Neo Medieval. Whatever the name, I love them.
BTW, Walpurgisnacht . . .
Whaaaat? I can´t believe you discovered Faun! Check out their song "odin feat. Einar Selvik of the band Wardruna
Thank you : )
Don't you worry Abt how u do your channel or how someone won't like or disagree with how things are done by you.. your channel.. u do u keep at it .
Much love friend
When I saw this, it was an instant subscribe. You and I are kindred spirits - our musical tastes are aligned, you have a sensitive soul and you really feel the music.
Since you've discovered Faun and you like them, you MUST review their song Gwydion. It's a collab with Faun and Chrigel Glanzmann of the Swiss folk metal band Eluveitie. The song is utterly powerful to begin with, but ends with the most incredible metal and vocals you can imagine. I'm awash with goosebumps and chills every time I listen to it.
Hello from Germany! You've made a good choice! Faun is a very good medieval band! They are a very good live band, you definitely have to see them live! I really like your channel and I enjoy watching your reactions! Keep it up and I look forward to your next posts! Greetings Nephilim 👍👏
The (for me) most interesting thing about faun is that they sing in many -quite unusual- languages, like medieval german or even gaelic latin and celtic
What I love about this song and video is the song is in German, but the people they're gathering have distinctly Norse and Viking style clothing. We pagans (druid, Norse, teuton, wicca, etc) follow different paths... But we all dance together
You need to listen to some Euzen, Maria Franz is incredible in everything she does. This song is pure magic!
This song always makes me want to go dancing in the woods.
lets go!
The blonde with the flute has sadly left the band to tend to her flock of sheep full time.
thats amazing
Great to see that the European Folk and Trad Folk fans are in here making suggestions. Besides metal, it is my favorite genre. Faun was a great choice.
My suggestions for this band would be Hymn To Pan and one of their later realeases, Galdra.
I like You! 🤗🫶👍
Hey....I like you too!
Disappointed you havent done Nanowar of Steel yet, lmao.
Also, for you and everyone. I recommend "Under the Bloodmoon" by Horizon Ignited. An unknown band i think, but its such a good song
You should try and listen to their live collaboration with Einar Selvik from Wardruna ❤
Great Reaction! Faun is my favourite band in the whole entire world and I always get really excited when someone ist reacting to them. Glad you liked the song. Federkleid ist a very lighthearted beautiful song. Faun is also known for darker and more mystic stuff. If you are interested, you can check out their songs Gwydion or Galdra or Odin (I could go on and on :D). Oh and I think you would also really like the band Wardruna from Norway, especially this beautiful piece of art: ua-cam.com/video/FnkTuHP9q3o/v-deo.html
I was playing "healing mountain" from Wardruna. A repairman came in to ask me about it. It scared him. I asked if he understood German, he said he did not. Silly rabbit. I play a lot of different languages. He was concerned because it wasn't in English. ???????
2:45 the tab is a great idea
how are you Immortal!
@@TheWolffAndTheMelody Great, things exciting i do everyday. I got some new weights and discovered some new parks..
@@ZerilathImmortal Hell ya dude!
Your interest in discovering new music led me to your channel. Now that you've found Faun, I'd like to introduce you to Omnia (Official) and their song Fee Ra Huri. In any case, I´m a new subscriber..
Yoooo i'm so glad our paths crossed! Appreciate you.
I know, this video is a bit older, but none the less I wanted to put the lyrics here, just if anyone is curious:
Across the heath, in the early morning glow
Birds pass on by, where may they be tomorrow
I follow the sizzling of the wings into the somber moor
Age-old songs resound from the haze
Come and fly away with us
Let the wind carry you
Far away from this place
Come and fly as high as you can
Let us chase the skies
In our dance
Silken Haze, so chilly, brushing my skin
Further and further, where shall I find my yearning's goal
I close my eyes and grow a plumage
I feel the wind already and spread my wings to fly
Come and fly away with us
Let the wind carry you
Far away from this place
Come and fly as high as you can
Let us chase the skies
In our dance
The heavens in you, how can I know them, can I see them
In flight we dance like the stars, moving on their paths
Come and fly away with us
Let the wind carry you
Far away from this place
Come and fly as high as you can
Let us chase the skies
In our dance
Grai, and otaba ë are good Russian bands. Korpiklaani is fun rock from finland. Estonian band Metsatoll is heavier and darker but solid as well. Oh we also have Russian turbo polka from Ruskaja... i could keep on going this style of music is me and my mate's jam.
Great reaction chekout another femalevocalist with a very unique voice Liliacs Madness.
Why not Egil Saga for reaction from same band.
BEAUTIFUL! Ex Muslim elitist reacts to faun
Thank s very mutch, this was felldone music, and my next suggestion are....Korpiklaani finish rock, folk band. Wacken festifal material...check.
I love this!
You spell Federkleid right. Nice german folk music
Nice.. I'm trying my hand at Deutsch but I'm not very far. i can hear abt 1 in 10 words lol not too helpful. Beautiful, folksy sound, def can calm a savage mood. Nice find and react Cosmic!
hey, you are starting and learning. Thats all that matters, you go at your own pace. It will become easier as you learn more.
I feel like I'm in a fantasy game.
you playing Baulders Gate 3?
@@TheWolffAndTheMelody How'd you know??? Just started it and I think I'm already going to be hooked!
@@tribblefluffer lol I want to start it!
@@TheWolffAndTheMelody It's great so far as long as you can manage to get past the character creation. That always manages to suck up a bunch of my time lol
@@tribblefluffer lol character creation...most important part lol
Pagans have the best music
Glad to see you found your way into German medieval folk. You did not butchering it, you say it correctly - Federkleid means Feather dress. Faun, the name of the band comes from Roman mythology: ancient Roman forest spirit or god of the forest, who is depicted horned and buck-footed and serves in literature and art as a symbol of unrestrained sexual urges. exalted, pejorative: man who is very lustful. This music also proves the literary and poetic sound of the German language, where everyone always says German is so harsh and strict. No, it is not and I think you can still find a lot in this field. German folk metal, German medieval rock and medieval folk. Like Heilung (more proto germanic), old instruments are often incorporated here. See also Feuerschwanz, dArtagnan, Saltatio Mortis, Patty Gurdy, Santiano, Subway to Sally, In Extremo, Corvus Corax or german melodic metal/power metal like "Powerwolf" or Blind Guardian and many many more. Also highly recommended is Avantasia and Ayreon. You can find it all on youtube
By the way
Don't put yourself under pressure when so many requests come in. Categorize them and work through them one by one. You determine the rhythm and above all the desire and intensity in which order you play the songs according to your mood. Freely after the proverb - per aspera ad astra - means on rough paths to the stars.
I hope you make more of these reactions to music from Germany and hopefully also find pleasure in it. Then take this music (e.g. "Heilung"), put Airpods in your ears and go hiking through the forest, lay down under a big old tree and listen, after that turn off the music, close your eyes and listen to the nature, no words, no sounds, only listen, reconnect to mother nature and you will see the music and the life with new eyes. Deceleration is the keyword, decelerate body and mind and find back to all our beginnings. How should it go better than with the language of the world - music - the language that was spoken thousands of years ago and is still understood today.
Best Regards from Germany
btw: I forgot, another very good song from the peace movement in the 80's (Cold War) is by Reinhard May. He re-recorded it with friends at the beginning of the Ukraine war. It has English subtitles and is very thought-provoking. Title: "Nein, meine Söhne geb' ich nicht [Offizielles Video]" means No, I won't give my sons.
I really appreciate all the kind words and support! This has been a wonderful journey and being able to connect with great people has been amazing.
If you wand to explore other great Music - try Mandowar. They cover motly Rocksongs with their Mandolines. I suggest Mandowar Warriors of the World :-D
Faun is a fantastic band, I would recommend "Walpurgisnacht" next.
ua-cam.com/video/nLgM1QJ3S_I/v-deo.html
Regards from west coast Sweden.
Check Omnia band
Try to satisfy all and you'll go bankrupt pretty soon😂
FAUN a great Formation, but "Mainstream"!
i don't want to be negative, but it just sounds like schlager dressed into something nordic. compared to the music of wardruna, garmana and so on, neither the beat nor the intonation of the singer do justice to the theme of music from the middle ages.
Sorry, but I'm a Goth/Pre Viking Punk & can't do anything with FAUN! That's only simple Folk Music, but so what...
and thats completely ok. You like what you like.
@@TheWolffAndTheMelody Absolutely true!👍✌
