Khalil is such a talented artist. His early albums are some of his best work bringing Soul and R&B music to HK-pop. Love Song is one of my favourite song and this performance I'd say is his most toned down rendition of this song, maybe due to his health issue many years ago that he still hasn't fully recovered from. You should checkout his 2005 to early 2010s songs and live performances, they are much stronger vocally. Still my favourite R&B singer!

Thanks for listening to Khalil. Some background about him - Born in Hawaii to an American-Chinese father and Hong Kong mother, Khalil moved to Shanghai at age 5 and then Hong Kong in his teenage years. His father, a drummer, introduced him to soul, funk, R&B, the blues, and all sorts of musical genres. He studied American high school correspondence courses so he is very much trilingual (English, Mandarin, Cantonese). Just want to point out apart from singing Soul, R&B, he also raps. I really enjoyed your channel since it started; covering all the Mandarin song vocalists, singers etc. I have this favorite singer called 宋念宇 (小宇) that I would really love to see on your channel. He is an extremely talent songwriter / singer. However, he has never really made it big on mainstream like JJ Lin, Wang Lee Hom etc., as his music has always been very individualistic. But I LOVE his tone. He has a few mainstream hits, but most of his works fell on death ears. Recent years, due to the popularity of Chinese singing shows, he kinda 'revived' a little, but never to the extent of getting recognized hugely. I know that you only cover live performances on your channel, and he doesn't have much on youtube. This is one ( ua-cam.com/video/wxQQhrq2Scs/v-deo.html ) in which he sang with a contestant on a singing contest, whereby all the songs are self-composed by the contestants themselves. Not the best example, but he really doesn't have much on youtube (most of them are old videos of horrid sound quality lol). Just wanted you to listen to his tone and hopefully, you will cover him in one of your further videos! I would really LOVE to see that! =)
