@Aaron-AncientPathRevivals The feasts ARE sacrifices. When you dedicate a day and a meal to God it is an offering. Read all of Deuteronomy 12 and all of Deuteronomy 16. The full instruction of Torah says to keep them IN THE LAND. That's why Daniel fasted over the Passover season in Babylon in Daniel 10:1-4.
@matthew953 so, I have a question for you. Are we not supposed to keep Shabbat? Because it is listed with the rest of the feast days. We clearly disagree. But by your standards, we shouldn't be doing anything in the old testament. Shouldn't be eating, shouldn't be praying, no music, etc. Things get really messy when you start applying loose definitions to things. Yah's rules aren't confusing. But the way you make it sound, is that Yah set up a trick, so that only a few people that have some superior knowledge that allows you to make wide generalizations and only apply things the way you want to. I personally would be very careful with that type of thinking. It will lead you down a dark road, off the path of the straight and narrow.

Correct. Think about on Creation day 4 when Yah created the moon. It was definitely full, huge, and bright!! So the very first calendar year ever began with a full moon. When did that get changed up?

I caught this video though and just have a question/comment about the day of First-Fruits. I realize there is a lot of divison on the Father’s Feast Days, Shabbaths, calendar, what a day is and so forth, so I do appreciate your humble approach and humbly agree with your conclusion at the end of your video. And all praise be to Abba Father YHWH through His Son YHWSHA, He will set everything straight in His timing! For now though, here’s some of His Word that leads me to believe the day of First-Fruits is actually the day after the ‘normal’ Shabbath during the week of Unleavened Bread (which would be on the day we know as Sunday) and not the day after the Shabbath of Passover like it appears you may have on the calendar (as Father doesn’t actually refer to that day as a Shabbath, but does specify ‘no servile work’ with the exception of feast preparation, however, when He instructs about First-Fruits, He does use the word “Shabbath”). And as His Word tells us, our Mashiah, YHWSHA is the First-Fruits and He was in the earth for three days and three nights following His impalement. This also makes the count of seven weeks (Pentecost) make sense, as it’s 7 weeks from First-Fruits or 50 days from the ‘normal’ Shabbath day during the week of Unleavened Bread. Hopefully this makes sense, but again, here’s some of His Word which speaks for Itself. Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 23:11 ‘And he shall wave the sheaf before יהוה, for your acceptance. On the morrow after the Sabbath the priest waves it. Adam, in my humble opinion you may want to consider the spring equinox on March 20, 2025 as the first day of the calendar as this is where the sun shines directly over the equator and daytime and night time are equal parts 12 hours everywhere on the earth. Question we might want to ask ourselves is Yahuah the author of confusion? Would He not make it obvious for us all over the world to be on the same time table? The sun is the greater light and the moon is the lesser light and is always changing unlike Yahuah who does not change like shifting shadows. Yes you're correct. The counting of work 6 and rest the 7th is the 1st set apart appointment given to us. It must never be broken or disturbed by another moedim. The 7 day shabbat is a feast unto itself.

I also double check when the new moon sliver should appear in the following month based on the 29 day cycle, even though it's slightly more than 29days by hours. But I think it shouldn't be more than 29 days. So with January 1st, 2025 having the new moon sliver, January 30th should be the next sighting if I'm correct, and according to everything you have studied over the years, including Enoch. No new moon at all in February, but March 1st and March 30th, if according to the 29 day cycle and that's what Stellarium shows for those dates as well. Spotting it definitely can be tricky, even on a clear day. I think that's where the 29 + fraction come into play and I think as I write this, I need to try and study into that too to maybe figure out the difference in time for spotting it, if there is one. There should be if it's actually 29 (+ a fraction of a day) between new moons. Hope this all makes sense. If not, sorry about that everyone who reads it. LOL

But by your standards, we shouldn't be doing anything in the old testament. Shouldn't be eating, shouldn't be praying, no music, etc. Things get really messy when you start applying loose definitions to things.
Yah's rules aren't confusing. But the way you make it sound, is that Yah set up a trick, so that only a few people that have some superior knowledge that allows you to make wide generalizations and only apply things the way you want to. I personally would be very careful with that type of thinking. It will lead you down a dark road, off the path of the straight and narrow.

I’m just an earthen vessel who is trying to follow the Way and praying for the Ruah to be my Teacher. I caught this video though and just have a question/comment about the day of First-Fruits. I realize there is a lot of divison on the Father’s Feast Days, Shabbaths, calendar, what a day is and so forth, so I do appreciate your humble approach and humbly agree with your conclusion at the end of your video. And all praise be to Abba Father YHWH through His Son YHWSHA, He will set everything straight in His timing!
For now though, here’s some of His Word that leads me to believe the day of First-Fruits is actually the day after the ‘normal’ Shabbath during the week of Unleavened Bread (which would be on the day we know as Sunday) and not the day after the Shabbath of Passover like it appears you may have on the calendar (as Father doesn’t actually refer to that day as a Shabbath, but does specify ‘no servile work’ with the exception of feast preparation, however, when He instructs about First-Fruits, He does use the word “Shabbath”). And as His Word tells us, our Mashiah, YHWSHA is the First-Fruits and He was in the earth for three days and three nights following His impalement. This also makes the count of seven weeks (Pentecost) make sense, as it’s 7 weeks from First-Fruits or 50 days from the ‘normal’ Shabbath day during the week of Unleavened Bread. Hopefully this makes sense, but again, here’s some of His Word which speaks for Itself.

‘And he shall wave the sheaf before יהוה, for your acceptance. On the morrow after the Sabbath the priest waves it.

Adam, in my humble opinion you may want to consider the spring equinox on March 20, 2025 as the first day of the calendar as this is where the sun shines directly over the equator and daytime and night time are equal parts 12 hours everywhere on the earth. Question we might want to ask ourselves is Yahuah the author of confusion? Would He not make it obvious for us all over the world to be on the same time table? The sun is the greater light and the moon is the lesser light and is always changing unlike Yahuah who does not change like shifting shadows. Yes you're correct. The counting of work 6 and rest the 7th is the 1st set apart appointment given to us. It must never be broken or disturbed by another moedim. The 7 day shabbat is a feast unto itself.

I also double check when the new moon sliver should appear in the following month based on the 29 day cycle, even though it's slightly more than 29days by hours. But I think it shouldn't be more than 29 days. So with January 1st, 2025 having the new moon sliver, January 30th should be the next sighting if I'm correct, and according to everything you have studied over the years, including Enoch. No new moon at all in February, but March 1st and March 30th, if according to the 29 day cycle and that's what Stellarium shows for those dates as well.
Spotting it definitely can be tricky, even on a clear day. I think that's where the 29 + fraction come into play and I think as I write this, I need to try and study into that too to maybe figure out the difference in time for spotting it, if there is one. There should be if it's actually 29 (+ a fraction of a day) between new moons. Hope this all makes sense. If not, sorry about that everyone who reads it. LOL

What is the reasoning behind First Fruits not being the evening of the 19th to the evening of the 20th?
