Every single person who has to jump as part of their sports performance (basketball, volleyball, jumps from athletic sports etc) swings up (not back) when jumping to get the most out of the jump, which is clearly a more efficient. I do not understand why so many people who do such tutorials do not know how to jump but upload videos with inefficient technique.

That is actually not correct sir. Watch a volleyball athlete attack a volleyball and see how their arm swing goes from full back - almost parallel to the ground - to their full overhead motion. Same holds true with long jump, triple jump, etc.

The main purpose of this video is regarding ACL injury risk so the focus is on knee movement and watching for excessive internal rotation on landing. I see what you are referencing though in terms of the arm swing going back on the upward jumping movement. If maximum jump height is desired of course the arm swing would start back while the athlete was eccentrically loading and then moving forward with the jump itself.

@@xcelfitpat In the year 2011, I have had a knee injury (ACL repair).. are you saying that this video is properly accurate to perform for someone like me from preventing a leg injury?
Also I was wondering do you know if the lady in this video landed first on her heels or toes (when coming down from the jump)?

You all think to much just jump and learn feel whats works the best for your body
If you jump 200 times a day you will figure it out yourself quickly
