    The only thing that I dont really like about this approach is the instant reset after letting go of left click. I understand that its nice to know where the center of the screen is again, the only problem is that firing before the recoil has 100% reset will not fire at that point. I agree that the follow recoil on pistols is stupid, but the follow recoil on the rifle reset I think is valuable as that is where it will fire if you fire before the reset.

      That's fair I guess, personally I prefer the extra time to aim for the one tap if the first spray didnt go as planned. So the time it takes to aim is more than enough for the recoil to reset back to the center of the screen. However without the instant reset, I have to aim for the head while the crosshair is moving around, then when it stops moving im probably not on the head anymore, so I have to readjust again before I can go for the headshot. So all in all the time it takes to aim is longer, and I have good muscle memory for the reset timing.
      But everyone's opinion is valid, and it could easily be adjusted to not have the instant reset. But personally, I hate the slow reset time, even if it reflects where the bullets should go.

      Isn't it possible to use a cross hair with firing error to get the timing at least when the weapon is reset again?

    You basically have the same solution I've also came up with. I also made it so that the crosshair looks different when I hold down mouse1. Just bigger crosshair, easier to locate while spraying, but I guess thats personal preference. I mapped mouse3 to toggle between follow recoil and completely static

      Yeah its a shame valve didnt think to implement different settings for follow recoil. It's 100% useless on pistols. And the configs I show in the video are a little different from the one I personally use. The one I personally use changes color to pink when im spraying, but other than that is my default crosshair color. And I have it bound to ( mouse4 + f )
      It's harder to make a config that changes sizes for most people to just use. That's why I opted for either the team chat or color changing one. But the size changing could be cool to try out sometime.
      One thing that was tricky, when you rebind mouse1 from +attack, you cant swap to the next pov in spectator. So I had to add in the bind to spec_next to get that working again.

    great work, i absolutely love this idea, i really think valve should implement this into the game itself - toggles for each weapon / weapon class to have follow recoil on, with different characteristics on how it works - follow recoil shouldn't be on a deag, but it could be on dualies or something like that right?

      Yeah it would also work for weapons like the cz, Im sure it would be complicated for them to implement different recoil settings for each weapon. But its way more complicated for us to have to write configs for this stuff lmao

    This is interesting but it's not perfect as u might want it on for spamming with duel elites/cz/tec9 as well as u want it off when using shotgun.

      Yeah, unfortunately Valve will have to make changes in order for it to get better.
      Ideally they could make follow recoil configurable for each weapon type so you can choose when to use it and when not to.
      Personally I only ever use the deagle/usp/glock/p250/fiveseven for pistols. And I never use shotguns. However the few times I've held a shotgun I just toggle it off.
      Hints why I made the script toggleable.

      @@AvHoCaDo Another option I would like from valve would be to have a permanent little fixed dot in the middle, independent from the moving reticle.

      @@MrDjBanza Yeah I had thought of that too.
      It will likely be years before this gets enough attention from valve for them to do anything to fix it though :/
      I almost wonder if toggling follow recoil off and on really fast would do when you're spraying. If it was fast enough you might end up with a crosshair in the center of your screen and where the bullets are going every other frame. Which on most refresh rates would be a similar effect.
      But idk how I would go about making something like that work either

      Great minds think alike? History is filled with examples of people coming up with two solutions to the same problem at similar times.
      I made this fix many months ago independently from anyone else and was not aware anyone else had a video about this.
      Although it would be cool to get in touch with them if you remember their channel name?

    Or just learn spray pattern on maps like "recoil_master" , this command is awful to the game and should be disable and put it back to client cheat protected on the console

      I think its a good tool to help you learn spray control that’s built into the game. Its not perfect but it’s easier to use than having new players search through hundreds of workshop maps. Either way, I dont see any reason to mark it as cheat protected, it really only helps you learn the spray pattern. With follow recoil enabled, if you dont know the spray pattern you’re still going to get lost in the spray.

      @@AvHoCaDo I agree. I'm still putting in the same inputs as those with it off, it's just nice to have a guide so you can be more confident in the gunfight. Focus should be on positioning and gamesense instead of anxiety over spraying. Most of the time being able to land the quick headshot is the difference maker anyway, for which follow recoil makes no difference. People have this obsession and privilege when it comes to how difficult a game should be, like saying you can't use certain gear in the souls games and whatnot. The spray patterns are still there; it's not suddenly call of duty because the crosshair moves around. The more accessible the game means more players, higher economy, more updates, etc. Haters have their priorities in the wrong place with all of the cheaters running around, like people with follow recoil are the problem.
