Matt Daddario as Alec,is one of the BEST bits of casting in ANY film or TV show EVER....I''very read every book,including 1& 2 of the new "Malec" Trilogy (AWESOME) & watched the entire series 4 times,along with pretty much anything on UA-cam that features Malec. Having read the books,first as they came out & then chronologically I'd fallen for Magnus Bane, BADLY & Harry Shum Jr,gives a stunning performance, the power of which is entirely dependent on the casting of Daddario. In the books Jace is supposed to be THE ONE; regardless of the excellent performances from EVERYONE in the TV series,I & every Malec fan have to thank both the writers & the casting directors for giving Malec such an amazing story to work with AND when tragically the series was cancelled they surpassed themselves by giving us the ending we all wanted for both Alec & Magnus - I won't spoil it for anyone who's not read the books ,but would highly encourage you to do so. This series has been one of my top 3 favourite things I've ever seen on TV & Cassandra Clare (& her co-writers) have created my favourite fantasy world & with Malec ,two of my all time favourite fictional characters.
