    A lovely naturally given lecture - easy to listen to, easy to follow. Not talking down to people but talking with people. Wonderful to see a young man with such conviction. Gives great hope that the next generation will carry on the message of Christian Science. Thank you!

    I love, so much, how you mentioned God's divine direction being gentle.
    It is indeed very gentle, very loving. He guides and parents with patience and wisdom and both expects and enables the same of us.

    Amazing lecture! Seems Goliath is so big sometimes and I love how you break it down into merely lies! Thankyou for understanding Mrs. Eddy’s works and delivering this clear concise way to battle these false beliefs about what enemies really are and how to battle them with Truth and Love! Grand!

    Anger is a mental assault. Evil cannot be attached to us or anyone else, as God's devine creations. I love this very healing truth. There are military men in Leavenworth prison convicted unjustly because of the previous ROE. Now I know how to pray for them.

      I would like to amend my comment. As Divine creations of God only good can be attached to us.
      I followed your link but did not find reference to any ministry at Leavenworth federal prison. I also went to the Leavenworth federal prison site and did not find any reference to Christian science ministry. Inmates do not have access to the internet. They are in very severe confinement. Lieutenant Clint lorance is confined there after getting intel and ordering his sharpshooters to fire on Taliban scouts. As platoon leader, he replaced the previous one who was ambushed. There were many deaths resulting from the tactic the Taliban was repeatedly using. But he was convicted of breaking the rules of engagement. I believe he has served five of the 19 years he was convicted of. Since then the rules of engagement have been changed but he is still in prison after many appeals and staggering legal fees. I am limited in communication but I will write him that only good can a be attached to him as God's Divine creation. I am excited to come to this higher understanding. I can't tell you how much it means to me. Thank you for this wonderful teaching.

    I hear the message behind this lecture -- HUMILITY. Surrendering human will to listen to God's direction, that is what it is. To surrender human will can take a lot of courage, but step by step, one steady, careful pace at a time, it comes.

    What about dealing with people who are not drawn to good, who are negative, abusive, etc? I have a person in my life that we would call a narcissist. They are mean spirited, abusive, denies love, unsettling, manipulative, etc. They disturb me, create fear, jealousy, emotional hurt. How can I pray?

      Hello, this information may be useful. Mary Baker Eddy, the Founder of Christian Science said, "Jesus beheld in Science the perfect man, who appeared to him where sinning mortal man appears to mortals." We can view others as God's image and likeness, as His perfect children. In Christian Science, we follow Jesus' teachings in the Bible: www.prayerthatheals.org/bible-study/christ-jesus
      You may also want to watch the Love your Enemies talk by Giulia Nesi Tetreau. There is a long version and a short version.

    I enjoyed this talk very much but sometimes the jargon of CS sounds like circular reasoning. For example: around 48:00... "the supremacy of good and all-ness of God - and the nothingness of evil, that it has no power with the all-ness of God, there's no opposition to all-good."
    Supremacy means at least two things must exist; thus, evil cannot be a "nothing" in this context. And if we can experience fear, anger, and other works of evil and recognize their effect upon us, how can we then say evil has no power, or there is no opposition to all-good?

    • @PrayerThatHeals
      @PrayerThatHeals  9 місяців тому

      Hope this helps:
      In Christian Science the nothingness of of evil derives of the supremacy of good and the allness of God. We each have the power to react or not. If we do react we are accepting that evil has power over us, if so we are its victim.
      Ego, God, is absolute, fills all space and it doesn't acknowledge the existence of anything opposite to itself. Each one of us has the choice to fear, to get angry or not, etc. Free will was given to each of God's children at the very beginning of man's existence, Genesis 1:26, 27
      "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion... So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them."

      @@PrayerThatHeals Yes it does help. Thanks for replying. I'm slogging through Health and Science (around pg. 450 as of today). So, if God is One, Good, and All then what else could there be... right!!! Except that the NT is filled with presentations of the adversary and the demons as actual entities with desires and needs and even histories, e.g. "I saw Satan fall like lightening from heaven". In the Charismatic church many claim they can actually see angels and demons (I have once seen with eyes open a beatific angelic being, and on another occasion have sensed a powerful malefic presence that buckled my knees). So how they came to be, if only in a temporal sense is... hmmm, from whence did the notion of corruption arise in God's incorruptible universe?

  • @chubbatheBOSS

    I appreciate the talk and agree with all the spiritual ideas, but one thing I don’t understand is how you can justify being in the army or military as if it is part of Jesus’s teachings? Jesus teaches to love your neighbor, love your “enemy,” not attack and kill them. How do you justify going to Iraq and killing people there instead of loving your neighbor, even if he looks different from you? Is that not racism and hatred dressed up in refined language? No matter how much you dress up your language of the army- platoons, leadership, etc., the military is just about waging war and killing people. That is the endgame, and it is based on the mortal mind which is evil and murderous. The army is murder and not in line with the peace of Jesus’s teachings. It goes against God. The old Jewish teachings were “An eye for an eye,” which is what you are following. But Jesus completely subverted those old ways and taught “Love your enemy.” Jesus did not say “Join the army, join the military and kill your enemy.” The Messiah was not supposed to be a military leader, he was the Prince of Peace. The army has nothing to do with peace! You don’t get peace out of war. I don’t know why people don’t understand that and justify it as if it is so great. This is mortal mind thinking and I because this man comes from an impure line of thinking and purposely violates the commandment “Thou shall not kill,” it corrupts the credibility of the talk, even though the spiritual ideas are correct.

    • @PrayerThatHeals
      @PrayerThatHeals  Рік тому

      Thank you for watching this talk and for your question. If we could all practice Christian Science and as Jesus taught then there would be no more war. "It should be thoroughly understood that all men have one Mind, one God and Father, one Life, Truth, and Love. Mankind will become perfect in proportion as this fact becomes apparent, war will cease and the true brotherhood of man will be established." Mary Baker Eddy, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 467:9-13
      We thought you may also be interested in Eddy's "Prayer for Country and Church."
      "Pray for the prosperity of our country, and for her victory under arms; that justice, mercy, and peace continue to characterize her government, and that they shall rule all nations. Pray that the divine presence may still guide and bless our chief magistrate, those associated with his executive trust, and our national judiciary; give to our congress wisdom, and uphold our nation with the right arm of His righteousness.
      In your peaceful homes remember our brave soldiers, whether in camp or in battle. Oh, may their love of country, and their faithful service thereof, be unto them life-preservers! May the divine Love succor and protect them, as at Manila, where brave men, led by the dauntless Dewey, and shielded by the power that saved them, sailed victoriously through the jaws of death and blotted out the Spanish squadron.
      Great occasion have we to rejoice that our nation, which fed her starving foe, - already murdering her peaceful seamen and destroying millions of her money, - will be as formidable in war as she has been compassionate in peace.
      May our Father-Mother God, who in times past hath spread for us a table in the wilderness and “in the midst of our enemies,” establish us in the most holy faith, plant our feet firmly on Truth, the rock of Christ, the “substance of things hoped for” - and fill us with the life and understanding of God, and good will towards men."
      Christian Science versus Pantheism pp. 14:11-11
