It harder to not see the boil water advisory because now it is linked with emergency broadcast where all cellphone service providers are required to send a text message to their customers at least here I assumed that most areas do the same. Along with that the radio stations tend to keep updating such needs,Television stations do say it during local news, newspapers do print it, and od course local mayor will drive around announcing it during the first day of the notice. Then again I tend to boil and filter my drinking water anyway but again I would think that since most people would have cellphone service all providers will send automatically notifications of emergency messages like the need for boiling water, and other similar emergency things like if evacuation of an area is needed or huge fire.
