There is also the fact that it can over romanticise history and how women of the upper class treated others. It also ignores how much women struggled in history. Search up the dark side of cottagecore and you will see what I mean. Cottagecore isn’t necessarily bad but it has had it’s problems in the past.

@@googoogaga7986 Tho I understand your point, they commented that not to be mean or negative, but because the recipe has really huge amounts of butter in it, which is not a common occurrence, even in high in fats food. Butter generally contains healthy fats and carbohydrates, but adding too much of can make your dishes taste bland and - like the user before said - raise your levels of cholesterol which is not good for health. The commenters before spoke in a rather not a soft manner, thus you could misunderstand their intentions. As a society we should spread a common knowledge about unhealthy foods and habits. Blocking opinions like that will do more harm than hurting one's feelings. If you make jam, please don't only stir it, skim out the foam with a skimmer (the foam are impurities which are best left out of the jam). Also: boil your jars and use very clean towels and pour the jam in when its hot (be careful! If you are young, let an adult do it). Turn the jars upside down and let it rest for a night. ❤️
Recently my parents got a cottage in the woods and I’m loving it! We have a personal mycologists and they are also an amazing cook! I love her so much! We have 7 houses but this one we have is by far my favourite.

It’s not anymore and the cottagecore nowadays is very unproblematic but it’s past is very dark and gritty.
