by far the coolest race ive ever seen. the close battles, the track, just epic. I love having two commentators, and the running order banner with lap times and positions. perfectly produced race video.
Wow watching this in 2020 and watching ty tessman and his family be so great full and thanking Jesus and the entire sport coming around them And accepting them as Christians... what an amazing community
Great race, great last lap! Shame the commentators didn't talk more about Phend, amazing drive to come from 9th back up to 4th, would have been good to hear how that gap was coming down and how many more laps he would have needed to catch the leaders
What a race, congrats to all the participants and staff, cars with same or similars specs depend on the drivers skills. great job holding pressure, keeping focus, staying on the road,... great track design challenging enough...
I noticed dakota rolled a few times only to think his setup was off a bit maybe too heavy shock oil or springs, He is deff a great driver but any great driver will tell you that you just cant get good laps with the wrong setup. congrats ty you lead not only by a racers perspective but as an example that shows gods light through your personality keep up the good work guys.
Yes. jeebus....If he didnt roll out in the worst possible spot, Dakotah woulda walked the field. Joey really has the formula down, man! The layout he built was the star of the show to me. Lol!! It kept the racing close and fun to watch! Great races in both classes.
Concerning the marshaling of Phend's car: The video is unintentionally deceptive. There's far more to what happened than what the video shows. The marshals we're not at fault. The marshal in the foreground was watching his designated area, and was farther from the off-track car than he appears to be in the video. It would have been a bad idea to cross the track, and possibly cause a worse incident with the other oncoming cars, and also, leave his designated area unattended, not to mention, create an unnecessary safety hazard. The proper marshal that reached the car was aware of the incident, and was already on the way, but you couldn't see that in the video. When he reached the car, it was at the top of a very rough, and loose berm (approx. 3 to 4 feet high) on the side of the track, which caused him to stumble as he climbed to get to the car. THORNHILL RC is an amazing facility, operated by an amazing "family" of dedicated people!
Let me start by saying i respect both of the highly respected and known commentators but, the last 30 secs was to funny OMG!!! OH NO!!!! OH NOOOOO! OH MAN NOT AGAIN
Dude what is up with the marshals? Every time the camera gets on them they are dropping a car or putting them down awkwardly..dropping them on the last lap...we’re they a hired crew or something? Lol it is an awesome race though. Love Thornhill so much
why is most rc raceing done by time insted of laps? its something iv never understood.my self and a few friends race rc just for fun and we go by laps.
+ghostdrifter how do you mean? Like why do they do a timed race and not see who can get to x number of laps the fastest? LOTS of racing leagues go by how many laps/how much distance can be completed in x amount of time. I guess a reason would be that, they want to do what a lot of full scale racing does, race to the clock and see who makes the most of the time.
Gipsy-Danger thank you! i have posted this question on many vids and forums! you are the first to reply! the full scale dirt track raceing around here goes by laps so thats what me and my budys do for rc racing . guess it may be diffrent in other areas idk. again thanks for the replay
The timed race to see who goes the furthest/drives the most laps most likely comes over from road racing such as the 24 hours of le mans or the 12 hours of sebring and such.
In the early days permanent tracks didn't exist. So track lengths were varied. The rules were set up to go by time vs. distance. This also copied full scale races that were timed vs. laps completed. This tradition has moved forward and is part of the rules in the modern era.
On top of everything that's been said, I think that racing for a fixed amount of time makes more sense compared to lap count in every way possible. For instance what happens when many RC racers have problems and trouble continuing the race? The race isn't going to end early but having no one on the track indefinitely makes no sense, too. Also for large scale races (F1 etc.) racing for time would have another advantage: the media channels covering these events would be able to know precisely how long the event will last and adjust their schedules accordingly, while a lap based race is prone to extensions (safety car and such).
These corner marshalers suck. Who taught these guys how to pick up 1/8 nitro cars? Two hands, one on the front, one on the back. They keep picking them up with one hand by the wheel. Never pick up running nitro cars by the wheel.
It's great to have faith and spirituality but it comes off as phony when people thank Jesus or whatever their god is when they accomplish something. Jesus helped you get your little car around the track the fastest? I think he has bigger things on his plate.
flyinbryan1619 FFS... Did I say he shouldn't say anything? You chrisitians and your phony belief that you're being oppressed when someone doesn't want to hear you talk about god 24/7...
David Kline I hate the preachy bullshit as much as the next guy. but what you are doing right now is no better than the christians. Let them thank their god. they DO actually believe he helped them. it doesn't physically hurt you at all.
Julian Blow I beg to differ. There is a cultural norm that I must concede my expression of self in the presence of christians because it may be offensive to them, such as using certain swear words or using their lord's name in any context other than a religious one. So what if they actually believe in what they believe in. I'm tired of having it imposed on my every moment of life simply because they believe their religion is superior to others and any challenge to that assumption is thought of as religious persecution.
great racing...love that my son watches this and appreciates the sportsmanship the drivers show each other.
by far the coolest race ive ever seen. the close battles, the track, just epic. I love having two commentators, and the running order banner with lap times and positions. perfectly produced race video.
Mom and dad rocking the pitstop for Tessman...awesome!
I would have liked a final finish standing with all the drivers and their manufacture. Thanks for the upload!
Please have these guys commentate every race, forever.
Incredible! Great racing n awesome coverage! Commenters, you guys are GEMS!
This was an epic race and track layout. Whata beauty
Amazing. It takes so much talent to rotate the buggy like they do.
"Tessman keeping it cool as the other side of the pillow"
I love Scotty.

this was a great race ..the last 2 minutes is very intense..good racers !
Great interview with Ryan also!
Best racing I've ever seen! Wow!
Well done Ty. You are a true sportsman.
Fantastic racing!
Amazing young man, class act..... God the glory!
I've noticed with a few races, there's 'skips' in the broadcast. How come? I don't get it.
So is mayfield still running rc8.2 or the prototype whats going on with associated lol!

Very exciting race!

Whatx the name of the first buggy? Plesae respond
Good job spoiling the outcome of the race in the description? I mean really...
Let me start by saying i respect both of the highly respected and known commentators but, the last 30 secs was to funny OMG!!! OH NO!!!! OH NOOOOO! OH MAN NOT AGAIN
Heck of a race
Very Good !!
Does Cody king still race?
If you flip, that's your fault. Not the marshal's.
Impressive! But how do they find such tiny drivers?
What model of car are they driving (best drivers)
+Travis Poole Kyosho MP9 TKI 3 is your best choice!
2:35 did he say flyin Ryan like the rc review guy
Realy nice!

Great commentators just missing the sound from the cars
5:54 ARGH! HAY BALES!!!
Maifield did not shake hands with Tessmann...why..it was a clean pass & he is the one who jumped on top of Tessmann after the pass...SOUR..
Great parents.
They should had count back phens race

They did mention that the marshals were volenteers, so not any professionals. Should always be the ones from the semis that dont make the final
Can anyone please tell me what radios are shown at 1:00:38 ? Thank you
+Hasan Sahin Airtronics M12
too bad we can barely hear the buggies
Tough luck for Phend....
Terrible Marshall's
Ok glad I’m not the only one that noticed this
Jesus FTW!!!!!!!!!
No. JoeyFTW!!!!
This is why you don't watch the race when you marshall. Always scan your areas.
Yessir! Marshalling is an art form, lol... well good marshalling anyway
I feel like Marshall's should be fined for things like that. Crazy.
46.55 really bad marshalling, took for ever
It's great to have faith and spirituality but it comes off as phony when people thank Jesus or whatever their god is when they accomplish something. Jesus helped you get your little car around the track the fastest? I think he has bigger things on his plate.
maybe you should challenge him to a match race and when you beat him (in your dreams) you can say whatever you want.

David Kline you censor yourself. No one is censoring you. If you don't want to deal with the bullshit of swearing infront of christians that's on you.
did he seriously thank jesus christ?gotta laugh abit :)
i know right lol
yeah because 100 years of human science explains the universe. arrogance of fools
Uh... Couldnt this be done in 3 laps... not 1 hour? seriously. I could watch 3 laps but an hour? no thanks.
