orange with 50% more defense, now extra good!
@@YAreall It’s orange, looks like an orange, & tastes like an orange- just let people call it an orange bro. Who cares.
@@ShoyuRamenBreakingBad it doesn’t look like a orange, and they taste different. maybe compare the two fruits for once.
As a wise man once said:
"make crunchy food. Everyone secretly has a fetish for crunching noises."
Kinda: I was taught by one of my chefs that Chinese cuisine has the 3 textures in addition to western 5 (6?) flavors.
Considering these is an crucial part of developing dishes. Crispy (epitomized by pork skin), smooth (custard and flan), and granular (like rice, but it can be dry or wet).
Balancing these enhances the tactile pleasure of food. This would have crispy/crunchy of the sugar and the granular wet from the tangerine
The crunching noises were the worst part about the video for me. Can't stand crunching noises. Misophonia sufferers agree.
"Damn, this looks tasty!"
Seeds: "Surprise motherf****r!"
Then how do I experience seedless ones 💀@@diduardnoob8023

As foreigner who lives in China I can certainly say that this is one of the best desserts you can get 😭 I especially like strawberry tanghulu 🍓
is it the same as candied apples and candied grapes that people make in america?
@@AmysExquisiteGifts candy apples are usually made with caramel but it is the same concept
Bayashi: *Adds cheese to literally everything*
Chris: *Tanghulus everything* 😂😂
I wonder if they did collab would they tanghulu something deep fired or would deep fry tanghulu
bayashi: makes every food heart burn
chris: turns every food into a toothache
I had those tang hulu in china, my best street food in winter. They only sell it in winter, cause it melts in hot weather. They sell mostly hawthorn tanghulu, but they also sell different fruits like tangerine, strawberries, kiwi, even rice balls. So so yummy!
@@Jay_wing Yeah it doesn't melt so easy, but during spring festival people r more willing to buy
Aww糖葫芦 it’s like that desert ur parents will buy u because u did a great job on exams, real nostalgic feeling
Bayashi: Always puts a lot of cheese
Chris: Always makes a Tanghulu out of everything
I've seen this made before. They look delicious. I would chill them in the freezer after they set😋
Ah yes tanghulu, surgery citrusy sour
Perfection I honestly love tanghulu
tip - cook the syrup until it gets a yellowish colour
Tip - after you're done making tangulu add water in the pot and boil it. It will be easier to clean
Tip - don't stir it until it get a yellowish colour
Looks delicious. I've always wanted to try the strawberries.
Tanghulu made with strawberries is the most common and traditional in Taiwan.❤

Omg I’m just imagining the texture and taste of the orange. It would be so good
You should try tanghulu mango it’s really good
Ooooo that sounds very good, I already love mango but it will taste even sweeter as tanghulu
Bro started stirring it with an orange😂😂😂
Mans just made a sugar dipped orange
dghfghfghfdghf hilarious looks good though i know why does he call it by the name of some mayan dragon ? dfgdsfghf
The "rock sugar" part isn't technically required, as you can make your own candy sugar mixture, but the rock sugar is easier to work with since it'll be already prepared; only thing you need to do is melt it.
You just gotta be careful not to brown the sugar water, because then you’ll have caramel oranges and not candied oranges
Mm mm mm thE FlavORs arE mEltInG oN TouGUe🤣😂
I remember eating tanghulu hawthorn berries when visiting my family in China, it's so nostalgic.
Oh it's hawthorne berries? I know coin sized thin chienes candies said from that fruit. I never knew they're the same as the one used for classic Tanghulu.
I’m sorry but please, your content is incredible!
Wow, seems so simple but hadn't come across this before.
Thanks
@@deltaed3517 nah sugar easiest thing you can clean as long as you keep rubbing with hot water its comes of same with pan that's why i recommend not using cast-iron for this.
Title: The Allure of Oranges: A Citrus Wonder
Introduction:
Oranges, with their vibrant color, refreshing taste, and numerous health benefits, have captivated human fascination for centuries. This citrus fruit, belonging to the Rutaceae family, not only adds a burst of flavor to our meals and drinks but also offers a wide range of nutritional value. In this essay, we will explore the fascinating world of oranges, their origins, nutritional benefits, cultural significance, and their impact on our well-being.
Origins and Varieties:
Oranges are believed to have originated in Southeast Asia, specifically the region encompassing modern-day China, Myanmar, and northeastern India. Over time, they spread to various parts of the world through trade and exploration. Today, oranges are cultivated in many countries with diverse climates, such as Spain, the United States, Brazil, and Morocco.
There are several popular varieties of oranges, each with its unique characteristics. Navel oranges, known for their distinctive "navel" at the blossom end, are sweet and seedless, making them a favorite for eating. Valencia oranges, on the other hand, are commonly used for juicing due to their balanced flavor and high juice content. Blood oranges, with their crimson flesh and tangy flavor, are prized for their striking appearance and are often used in salads and desserts.
Nutritional Value and Health Benefits:
Oranges are renowned for their impressive nutritional profile. Rich in vitamin C, oranges provide a significant boost to our immune system, aiding in the prevention of colds and other illnesses. Additionally, they contain dietary fiber, potassium, and folate, which contribute to heart health, digestion, and cell function, respectively.
Consuming oranges regularly can also help reduce the risk of chronic diseases, such as cardiovascular ailments and certain types of cancer. The fruit's abundant antioxidants, such as flavonoids and vitamin C, combat harmful free radicals in the body, protecting cells from damage and promoting overall well-being.
Cultural Significance and Symbolism:
Oranges have played an essential role in various cultures throughout history. In Chinese tradition, oranges represent good luck, prosperity, and abundance. They are often exchanged as gifts during the Lunar New Year celebrations, symbolizing wishes for a fruitful year ahead. Oranges have also become an integral part of Christmas celebrations in many countries, where they are placed in stockings or used as decorative ornaments.
Moreover, oranges hold symbolic significance in literature and art. Writers and poets have used their vibrant color and refreshing scent as metaphors for vitality, energy, and optimism. Artists have immortalized oranges in their paintings, capturing their beauty and evoking a sense of joy and abundance.
Conclusion:
Oranges, with their delightful taste, nutritional value, and cultural significance, continue to enchant and nourish us. Whether enjoyed as a refreshing snack, a zesty addition to recipes, or in the form of juice, oranges provide a multitude of benefits to our health and well-being. Let us embrace this citrus wonder, appreciating its vibrant color, invigorating aroma, and the zest it adds to our lives.
Crunchy sweet oranges seems beyond good i have to try that
That crunch was so satisfying
I will definitely be making this. I was thinking of doing am assortment of oranges, mango. Pineapple, and maybe grapes.
Try some pickles. Maybe a habanero or two, or one of the fruitier chili peppers. I wonder if these street vendors only serve certain types. Would be amazing if they let you build your own skewer with up to however many assortment of fruits and whatever else you wanna have glazed. Call it Any Sweets you Wish Kebab.
My goodness, that crunch! 🍊 Now I need to try this!
Amazing! I wonder if adding a tad bit of salt would bring some extra sweetness out of the orange?
@@daisypaladesign counters some of the acidity. Try adding a very small pinch on a slice of orange next time you eat one!
@@daisypaladesign you must not cook too often. Salt will accentuate sweet things. Its why salted caramel tastes so remarkably sweet. Salting something thats sweet will make it seem sweeter.
Bro has good cooking skills and good fish keeping skills 😂
Today we are making chris wang tanghulu 💀
Bayashi:adds cheese to everything

I really love Chinese street foods!! This one is my favorite!!
Ty it very tasty
I used Cuties Mandarin Oranges to make these. It was so good it was worth getting a sugar burn on my fingers. Once my sugar caramelized I poured in a little water to make a caramel sauce to go with some Flan.
THAT LOOKS SO GOOD
asian food is just incredible 👍🏿
One tip for when you do this is make sure the oranges are not soft or abit soft, when u did it my oranges were abit soft and tasted horrible when I tried them
Sweet and citrusy, sounds good gotta try it sometime
just eat the orange by itself, the sugar coating doesn’t really do that much to it except it feels like glass in your mouth
Just remember that sugar is incredibly hot when molten and will stick to your skin while burning your flesh 😊
Wow, me not knowing Tanghulu was even a thing was the craziest dumbest Asian Brain ever😂
Try lemon tanghulu
@@IHaveBeenDoingTaxFraud oh I didn’t know that well happen i eat lemon alot
In Germany we have a very similar street food but only with apples and the sugar coat is usually dyed in a bright red color. They are called Liebesäpfel or Paradiesäpfel which translates to "love apples"/"paradise apples"
We have the same in the UK, but they are a halloween treat and called toffee apples.
Bro really lower the music just for us to hear the crunch💀
omg a Chinese food video where the guy actually has accurate pronunciation :0
@@Kayehd3 I know, but even a lot of Chinese content creators have an American accent because they’re usually either Chinese-American or Chinese living abroad and they and have forgotten/never learned Chinese and can speak only English as their native language so when they say Chinese words they have a pretty strong accent and it sounds really uncomfortable as a native Chinese speaker haha
