I know bench space is prime real estate for this deck, but playing a radiant greninja would solve two problems you have: getting energy into the discard and draw power. Worth slotting him in seeing as hes a single prizer - so many of your comments are around keeping a 2 prizer like squak from being a liability.
@@1912TitanicSwimTeamI saw you mentioned in another comment asking if they would consider a one of Turo, I would consider it if you could also make space for pokegear. With your need to get to Supporters per turn, since you're playing Pokestop it combos very well. With both you can see up to 10 cards a turn.
@@thisisanusername1052right. Post rotation we'll be looking at the cycling road stadium card to replace the rad greninja. Only draws you one card but still better than nothing. In fact, it makes this deck a little more consistent running it alongside the Pokestop (possibly 2 stops and 1 cycling road to free up space for a pokegear).
I feel like a more turbo version with squak/brilliant blender could do well post rotation? Either way i really like the position ceruledge is in post rotation, hitting weakness on gholdengo, archuladon, ogerpon etc... and maybe drilbur is really the fix to this deck. Could be even nastier with a better pool of fighting secondary attackers or a new excadrill print
Thanks for the comment! The Squak definitely makes the deck faster, but it also makes an easy boss target for the late game. Maybe have to couple it with collapsed stadium? Professor turo maybe? Something to experiment with for sure!
There is an Excadrill that has a single attack. Does 60 damage for a single metal energy. Hits Mimikyu for weakness. This deck could in theory run a metal and/or one rainbow special energy to fulfill the attack requirement. Brilliant Blender can discard a bunch of energy of a type you want, then you can, if needed, Night Stretcher the energy for the attack. Brilliant Blender could also dircard Drillburr for a pseudo-search, to be recovered by the stretcher and discard even more energy
Great ideas! I originally used Squakabilly, but I found that having a 2 prize liability on the bench took away from the strength of forcing your opponent to take big 2 prize KOs down the stretch. Brilliant blender feels good in theory, but I'm the games I used it in, without having arven to search the item, it felt less impactful than playing other ace specs. I think the excadrill is a great idea to deal with Mimikyu. Hadn't even considered the matchup!
@@samyule I am using this video's list as a base for a list I'm building. With all of these fighting energy, you could run the single prize Bloodmoon Ursaluna. It can easily beat Mimikyu if that's a problem and it is also a solid one-prize attacker. Lana's Aid could be very good with the previous Brilliant Blender strat I mentioned earlier, but instead of having that one weird Exacadrill, you can have the Bloody Ursa as a threat or even use Blender+Lana to combo multiple Drilbur into play. If people don't like Blender as the Ace Spec, I could see Secret Box being an amazing option here, as it both discards a bunch and helps with set-up. I'm personally going to experiment with Blender. Was thinking about these ideas and came back to share with you people
@@marcelguimaraes6752I love the idea of secret box. Very similar to ancient box - getting to pick a stadium, supporter, tool, AND item makes it almost a must. Since this deck likes to punch and draw through quickly - that's a good to ace spec.

@@94droptopwith only 10 Pokemon, you're going to run into two issues - Mulligans that give your opponent better starts and relying on ultra ball for searches. In similar decks I've found the ditto from 151 with the transformative start a workaround. It can help reduce not starting a basic and since you'll be discarding a lot of cards throughout, even if you draw into it later, you can use it for discard fodder. But, I would still make tweaks like adding some nest balls, swapping a carmine or two for more research (why see 5 if you can see 7 cards?), and reducing the 20 energy down to 16 or less. Your list is solid and definitely consistent though!

If I had pinned comments unlocked, I'd pin this one! He just makes too much sense to not include!

Heck yeah! With all the support from the comment section, might have to rebuild and run it back!
greninja is saying good bye in the next rotation tho, this is a good option for march 2025

Nice bro.. wow. I don't even know the skill like Drilbur is exist... Thanks for the idea.
Great build! I knew we'd find a use for drilbur one day!
Thanks for this! Very helpful
Glad it was helpful!
I'd consider adding a gravity mountain for stage 2 matchups
That will definitely make them easier to KO. I also added a manaphy shortly after this video because of Dragapult and Radiant Greninja.
@@1912TitanicSwimTeamFYI Dragapult attack ignore Manaphy's ability

Omg, you are right lmao guess it'll just be a bad matchup

I expected someone to make this eventually
I think i'd suggest Carmine, Squakabilly EX and even brilliant blender for this, how are you dealing with Mimikyu's just Charcadet -20?

Played this at a cup today. Did terribly with a 1/4/0 but I had fun.
Damn 😭 someone dropped a more competitive list in the comments! Maybe that's the move. Glad you have a good time though!
Throw in Radiant Greninja and this deck will be unstoppable
Cool deck

Drilbur is a waste and not needed, so many better used of cards
