'Poison Ivy' 🎸 'Boss Sounds'

Written by Leiber & Stoller - 'Poison Ivy' was recorded and released by 'The Coasters' in 1959,
and reached #1 on the US R&B chart and #15 in the UK.
I probably heard this for the first time in 1964 when
'The Rolling Stones' included it on their first EP.
We loved it, as we did all of the the tracks on the EP
and also their first LP.
'Boss Sounds' were originally formed in York in the mid 60s and occasionally get together to record some of the old numbers they did at the time, when gigging in and around York.
'Late at night when you're sleeping poison Ivy comes
a' creeping around....' Brilliant!
