When Scott said that he felt like a game collab had to feel like a match, I felt like it was basically saying it would be dead by daylight. Animatronics running out with guns in Fortnite does not fit the fnaf vibe, but a child murderer hunting down survivors feels like it fits so much better
exactly, I really dont want fnaf in fortnits because it doesn't fit the vibe at all in that bright game associated with children abd such. but, even if dbd is no longer fully horror and has a lot of strange skins and even nicolas cage as a survivor, it still is very very rooted in horror and has become one of the games with the biggest amount of horror licenses. it's like a horror hall of fame! I'm so happy the game I grew up off of is coming to the game

This always felt like an uphill battle. Being told that fnaf joining DBD would never happen over and over again. It always felt like some dream chapter that wouldn’t happen. I had even assumed Jason had a higher chance joining more than fnaf. I remember when the DBD Reddit mods banned the topic of fnaf.
I’m so happy that it’s actually happening. I feel like Thanos enjoying that sun rise after waiting for years for this to happen.

I want Springtrap with multiple different skins like Glitchtrap or the original spring Bonnie skins. A Vanny skin for Legion (I would be kinda disappointed cause Legion sucks but Vanny kinda fits the power). They could do a molten Freddy or Ennard for dredge. Singularity could get a dope ass skin like the potential for this license is insane. A purple skinned survivor would be insane too.
This feels like vindication for the whole thing with Pinhead when so many of us thought it was gonna be Springtrap.

I think this will send leakers into overtime. They try and get every little detail about the chapter.
I knew Schmuckles has been covering FNAF in DBD for years, and has cultivated an audience that specifically wants that more than anything else -- but I didn't know he personally cared this much. I'm happy for the fans, but "biggest chapter announcement of all time"? And it will sell better than Resident Evil and Stanger Things? I get it was a pretty popular series years back, and those kids are all grown up now, but is this really going to be that big of a deal? Maybe this is a generational thing that I missed the boat on or something. I'm happy for the fans, though. After Lara pushed things a bit too far out of horror, I'm happy to see things back on track. I'm most interested in the pizzeria map, would be neat. Are there any survivors in the game lore? Or would they pull from the movie?
Probably from the movie. Depends what you mean by big. It's one of the biggest license, but you could argue there are bigger ones. However this is the biggest license for DBD itself. No other license will bring as much new people as FNAF. So even if you don't care about IP itself, It's gonna boost game popularity which is almost always good.
Now that we really have FNaF in Dead by Daylight, I wanna bring up another license on my wishlist.
How would you guys feel about Bendy and the Dark Revival in the game? I think the Ink Demon could be a phenomenal killer

Well, it isn't the first game per say. Fnaf has had crossovers with Creepy Castle and Rec Room. But this is the first BIG game to get the license. I'm extremely happy it finally happened though!!

"What a gift to relish, a victim who cannot perish" springtrap already used nightmare's ucn lines in special delivery (as well as using Michael's lines in a more sinister tone) so him quoting nightmare freddy is also something that would be fitting. I'd imagine if he could talk in dbd he probably would use that quote unless he's not actually happy in dbd
so that's why the leakers didn't mine a leak for this, judging by the fact that its gonna take so long to come out they probably haven't even started develop.
