I remember reading killing stalking wayyyy back in 2015 and thought it was one of the most horrifying series j had come across like metamorphosis cause horror with a queer protag was so niche (which made me feel more empathetic to the protag) and the writing at that time was so good. Unfortunately yeah, the fandom that romanticised their relationship was illogical and just weird. It’s unfortunate it still has the stigma of it being a BL. Queer characters in a text doesn’t make something a BL/GL which really irks me, especially being one myself. But I hope u enjoy d fight island 😭 I read it and it was so fun to read I think you’d have a great time with this one
Loved the video and really enjoy seeing some different pick ups outside your usual genres! To Strip the Flesh isn't the same creator as Chainsaw Man and Fire Punch, that's Tatsuki Fujimoto. Oto Toda was an assistant to Fujimoto though, so definitely understand getting that mixed up when going through like 80+ volumes!
Omg!!! I read a series in high-school but could never remember the name, only the story and artwork. It was definitely Dragon Head!!!! Awesome pick up, I really enjoyed the story, obviously if I remember it 12 years later!! 😂
I believe a new printing of Emma was announced at San Diego Comic Con. Once I heard that I emailed my local comic shop and request the series. They were not able to order it yet but said they would as soon as the orders opened up. Same with the news about K-ON! and Marmalade Boy's new printings.
I am trying to collect the Magical Girl ones like Site and Apocalypse. Don’t think Seven Seas is going to do a reprint but maybe if a bunch of people ask for a reprint it may happen. Dick Fight Island is only 2 volumes. I am hoping to get Erased at some point once it comes back in stock. Great haul! Your awesome
Magical girl apocalypse is so underrated- the way it keeps you on edge all the way through is something I rlly enjoyed. The humor is great and the story is full of twists, it was definitely all gas and no breaks- so happy to see it mentioned in this vid lol It does suck that vol. 4 is heavily OOP- you can find bundle deals here and there on mercari but they sell quick (,: Took me over a year to find one that wasn’t $150+ 🤮
Great haul. I DO like Sensei's Pious Lie much more than you do--I find its icky moral questions fascinating (ie *is* there a difference for a young man who has been sexually attacked by a woman to a woman who has been by a man?) As to there being nothing special about the volume--I'd argue that. They're 2 tankoubons-in-one omnibus volumes. (350+ pages) So it adds up to being (a bit) cheaper than buying it as two books.
If I was u go to mecari and search horimiya vol 5 and save search. Vol 5 is ghost and I only got it from a lotim lo ing sensei pious lie singing the 3rd vol this weekend.
here SCREAMING about Run On Your New Legs!!!! the second I heard about it, I had to pick it up - I ran track from 6th grade to sophomore year of college and so far there have been a few inaccuracies in vol 1 in terms of running (I know, it's manga, it's expected but still). vol 2 is out now and I want to pick it up soon, because I'm hoping it gets better because I need more manga about track and running in general. def let us know what you think
I really love Golden Kamuy, I am a bit behind on reading, but I make sure to buy it when it comes out here in Germany since it seems to be one of those series that fly under the radar too much. I also jumped on the Blue Period hype train recently, I really enjoyed the first two volumes.
From what I remember, the first volume of DFI was supposed to be a stand-alone, but there was such pressure for a second one that the author made the volume 2 even if she wasn't down for it. And I kinda felt it reading Volume 2, it didn't capture the same... magic? than the first one ahha

Call of the Night vol 1-11 straight upward trend never falls off, gets better every volume.
Island in a Puddle looks a lot like Atsushi Okubo's work in terms of art style. Will certainly be interested in checking it out.
Wow, I like that your reading got more diverse!!!

To strip the the flesh is by the artist for fujimotos most recent one shot “Just listen to the song” not by fujimoto.
Where did you get the bookcase white? I can’t find the store?
Hell's Paradise was tough to complete. So many volumes out of stock for so long.
I wonder, how much did you spend? I would like to know
great video man! I love how you managed to make such a long video interesting all the way through
I really really appreciate that thank you!

Yes. 100% review Dick Fight Island lol
The way I screamed when you brought out wotakoi!!
hahahahaha
The yugioh!!! I need to get my hands on that! love the haul😜
Its soooo good, the first section is super dark and wasn't even in the anime
I'm a long time fan of heavy metal magazine just because it's lewd doesn't mean it's trash
12:11 story and art by: oto toda. Chainsaw man and fire punch’s mangaka is tatsuki fujimuto
The fact that dick fight island isn’t getting a deluxe hardcover edition is a crime against culture
i got lucky i got hell's 2 at one of my barnes and nobles at one point now i need 3 but thats out odf stock atm

Vol 2 of Colorless comes out in September
