    So happy Martin survived. He has a wonderful daughter

  • @sharrontodd-b5r

    Martin, you have two children not just your daughter, you never spoke to your son and said in front of your son your daughter was number 1, It's like your son was not there I can't imagine how he feels but I know it's not a good feeling, living your life feeling less that included and loved equally, You need to realize children and adults need to be showen love equaly,

    • @hilaryc3203
      @hilaryc3203 26 днів тому +6

      And maybe the son feels just fine. When I first read your comment I was expecting a father with two small children, so when it turned out the children were grown adults I was surprised. You're being very dramatic over a few minutes you've seen here. I surmise you meant well, but it looks like you went looking for negativity. You judged their life over those few minutes and in those few minutes dad couldn't see, was afraid and was responding to the person being the most chatty. You don't know he ignored his son, because the footage of this show is heavily edited. Brothers always know that their sisters have a special bond with their father. A daughter is usually the one who is there for parents in a practical sense to make sure aging parents are looked after, running errands and fussing/nagging over them. Brothers accept it, because they have a different, yet equally loving relationship with their dad. A man and his father bond in different ways because men communicate with each other differently and about different things. They hang out and have a drink and compare notes about life and build that adult friendship of two men plotting to take over the world sort to speak, whilst the daughter will forever be her dad's princess. A son is his dad's friend for life and a daughter keeps dad young and playful. Two different love languages. My brother and I were in the same situation and I was the speaker (to our dad and the medical team), the pillow plumper and the one who was playful to try and keep my dad's spirits up. My brother was quieter, but he was there with his strength, knowledge and love - and he was there giving that strength to me and our mom. My brother did not suffer from a lack of attention from our father who was laying there after having a major stroke - my brother isn't that shallow and weak. So please don't judge on the few minutes you watched. Have a great week.

    I also fell out of a tree in my pre teens about 12 ft from the tree hitting branches on the way down. I was out cold, mumbling and spit bubbles coming from my mouth, I didn't wake up until I was in the parking lot of the hospital asking where am I, ow my arm hurts. I had a dent on my head and I couldn't remember who I was,who my parents were, where I lived, the day. I don't remember the fall or where I was when getting down the tree. I only remember waking up and getting asked the protocol for seeing if I had amnesia and I had a broken arm but don't remember getting an x ray etc.

    What I like about the U.K. hospital is that you can tell who is who, here in B.C. where I live, all staff are wearing scrubs, with no way of knowing if they are a Dr, nurse, porter, maintenance worker, or even a staff member of the janitorial team.
    They do have name tags, but they are small and hard to read while they are zooming around.

    This is totally amazing as usual :) I thought Martin wasn’t going to make it. I am so very glad he did. He’s just one of those people you like right away. And he has a wonderful daughter, who really is a lot like her dad.
    Jayden is adorable and has a wonderful mum :) Freddie’s parents went through hell. The thing is not knowing. His dad is so emotional, it’s so good he held it together. Mum’s are strong and she was. The kid with clean cut is going to be quite something when he grows up - he is now. :) Loved the older gentleman who sang. Such a poignant human behavior to slip in there. :) ☀️🌷🌱
    One thing though - we don’t all grow up and become like our parents! :) 🎭

      @@Pammellam: My mother went through a similar stroke experience and was walking and talking soon after. But she was destroyed intellectually, unable to read or write, play her piano and organ, dial a phone number, remember recent events, and enraged at her condition. Doctors, however, proclaimed her "lucky" because she had no musculoskeletal deficits.

    Do you use A&E like we in the USA 🇺🇸 use a walk in clinic? Something would have to be really really wrong before I would consider the Emergency Room.

    • @sarahsnowe
      @sarahsnowe Місяць тому +4

      Emergency Room visits in the US are ten times more expensive than walk-in clinic visits. In civilized countries, this care would be free or inexpensive.

    I’d like to know what everybody’s up to now that little boy is probably a teenager by now same with the other little boy who lives only with his mom.
    There’s one thing that I didn’t hear and that was when Martin‘s daughter and son came in and the daughter asked what happened and he told her, but he never told her that he was drunk or that he had been drinking and I think that over drinking constantly can make you have a stroke . If people could only think before they do these things how much easier their health would be.
    I’m glad he made it through and he has more time to spend with his family.
    Another great episode!!👏🏻👏🏻🌟🌟
