The battle of 'Qaiwan-Mawat'was a three-month long multi-sector battle between Kurdistan's Peshmerga forces and the forces of the Iraqi Ba'th regime. The battle started on 2 September 1986 and lasted for over 90 days with a victory for the Peshmerga forces.
