Imagine you have a bathtub full of water, and you're holding a faucet in your hand that you can adjust. When you slightly open the faucet, the water starts flowing gently, and the water level in the bathtub rises slowly. This is like the normal weather we've experienced for centuries. However, over the years, humans have been burning fossil fuels (like coal, oil, and natural gas) and releasing large amounts of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. These gases act like a blanket, trapping heat from the sun, and causing the Earth's temperature to rise. It's like turning up the heat under the bathtub. As a result of this warming, the energy in the atmosphere and oceans increases. Think of it like turning the faucet wider open. The more energy in the system, the stronger and more intense the weather events become. Now, let's talk about what this means for the weather: More Intense Storms: With more energy in the atmosphere, storms like hurricanes and cyclones can become more powerful. They gather more moisture and heat, leading to stronger winds, heavier rainfall, and greater storm surges. More Frequent Heatwaves: The increased energy in the atmosphere can also lead to more frequent and intense heatwaves. Heatwaves occur when large masses of hot air remain stationary over a region for an extended period, driving temperatures to extreme levels. More Severe Flooding: The warming of the Earth can cause more water to evaporate from oceans, lakes, and rivers. When this moisture-laden air meets cooler air masses, it can result in heavy rainfall and flooding. Rising Sea Levels: As the Earth warms, polar ice caps and glaciers melt, leading to higher sea levels. This contributes to increased flooding and coastal erosion during storms. It's essential to understand that climate change doesn't mean every single weather event is directly caused by it. However, the increased frequency and intensity of extreme weather events align with what scientists have predicted based on climate change models. Just like turning up the heat under the bathtub increases the chances of water overflowing or spilling over, human-induced climate change increases the likelihood of extreme weather events occurring and intensifying. The evidence of these changes is well-documented by scientific research, and it's crucial for us to address this issue by reducing greenhouse gas emissions and adapting to the changes to protect ourselves and our planet.

The problem with the IPCC is it's a massive organization, with lots of scientists on big pay cheques and their funding model depends on there being an ongoing existential crisis with the climate. That's not to say they're lying or even over-egging the pudding with their forecasts; but there would be job losses and a lot let funding if they ever dialed them down
If you're a scientist, you have two choices. Tick the box that agrees with the consensus, and you get massive funding, or tick the other box which goes against the narrative, and you get nothing, and you get censored, slandered and demonised. Happened in the pandemic to scientists and doctors of long standing, and has been happening for decades with global warming. The system is corrupted.
IPCC mandate is to summarise potential catastrophe. It was not mandated to explore the benefits of natural climate change. It is, therefore, tainted and of no benefit.

I have never seen anyone shake that much.
I think the man should worry more about his heart than the climate.
He advised gormless Broon.
Obviously a Labour supporter and advisor, best not vote for that bunch of goons. I’m voting for Richard Tice.
Richard Tice runs a property company that helps Russian Oligarchs buy property in London. He also owns two company's in Malaysia so he doesn't have to pay tax on the money that he steals from this country. The Clintel report that Richard refers to was funded by Shell Oil, when looking closer at the list of signatories, there are precisely 1,107, including six people who are dead. Eight of the signatories are former or current employees of the oil giant Shell, while many other names have links to mining companies.

Good interview Richard. It’s very important to hear the extravagant views of the climate crisis protagonists. The public can then judge the merit of their arguments for themselves and vote accordingly.

Last summer when we had that hot weather the so called science in the UK said we had the hottest day in recorded history, what they failed to tell us is that they took that temperature from a black tarmac runway at an airport. We are being lied to
I am 80 years old the weather in my opinion has not changed an awful lot !
climate change is for people who want control
recorded history always sounds dramatic yes? But is only between 250 and 100 years absolutely nothing
Very true. It was 28 degrees last Friday and then I got stuck on the M6 and the temperature went up to 34 degrees due to the vehicles and the hot tarmac. I am awaiting the mysterious fires to start ( set?) again so that the doomsayers can screech that the world is on fire!
It's all about power. They are using climate change to convince people, they can save us and need complete control. People need to wake up!!!!
Imagine being so far over the coo coo's nest that you actually think this twitchy ferret is even half sane.
Nice to see a civilised discussion .

Never forget folks, it wasn't that long ago the climate alarmists were saying that the Earth was headed towards another ice age. A planet just doesn't go from "impending ice age" to "massive fireball" in a span of 20 years.

Spot on mate, me too
Every Time a bit of the Norfolk/Suffolk coast falls into the sea it's blamed on climate change caused by what people do. This is ridiculous, it has been going on for ever. The town of Dunwich was destroyed by the sea between 1066 and 1740 in storms. This is how the world will continue, net zero and green are pointless, (unless you agree that the point of it is to grab our money).
Didn't see the Mad Max stuff but did see the others. Very funny at the time, Demolition man came true. Stallone is great comedian.
Just watched this after a holiday. Dear god I feel desperately sorry Gordon Brown having that banshee screaming in his ear. It looked like he was about to have a seizure !
Congratulations Richard for handling this "guest" in such a calm, rational manner - in contrast to his ravings! The "professor" doth protest too much, methinks.
All of these net-zero nutters have the same unhinged MO - irrational, obfuscating, shouting, raving, not answering pertinent questions in a rational manner etc etc. If your party can rid us of this nonsense then you've got my vote!
The problem with the IPCC is it's a massive organization, with lots of scientists on big pay cheques and their funding model depends on there being an ongoing existential crisis with the climate. That's not to say they're lying or even over-egging the pudding with their forecasts; but there would be job losses and a lot let funding if they ever dialed them down
the nail on the head
If you're a scientist, you have two choices. Tick the box that agrees with the consensus, and you get massive funding, or tick the other box which goes against the narrative, and you get nothing, and you get censored, slandered and demonised. Happened in the pandemic to scientists and doctors of long standing, and has been happening for decades with global warming. The system is corrupted.
IPCC mandate is to summarise potential catastrophe. It was not mandated to explore the benefits of natural climate change. It is, therefore, tainted and of no benefit.
