We have this same LG model. Love it but the interior light went out and having a hard time finding out how to replace it. Typically, you’d remove the front plastic piece and it’s easily accessible. Still investigating.
The exact same thing happened to us too. Unsure how to change it, despite LG having replacement parts on their website. Please reply here if you find a way!

I’m looking at getting this microwave to replace one that I already have over our stove. We have an older home so the current over the stove is a lot closer to the cooktop than you would normally mount it, but it’s done well and lasted for around 12 years. Can you tell me if this microwave has a proper vent hood underneath? I know the technology has probably changed since we bought our current one, but in all of the models that I’ve looked out online they don’t look as “thick” at the bottom where they would normally be housing their removable filters, etc. In your answer to another comment you said it has the option of being vented outside, and we would do that. When our microwave is in operation or when we simply have the vent fan on, a little flap comes down on the front. This microwave doesn’t seem to have anything like that? Last question, how does it operate overall as just a hood fan for venting? Thanks!
No, the unfinished backsplash and outdated home is. Not the right house for those appliance. Spend the money on finishing and remodeling your kitchen lol

You don’t have to. It has a charcoal filter and vents on top. However would be best to have it vent outside
