I went from 1.7 to a 4.0 🥴 it took me some time and lots of self discipline but it’s worth it! I enjoyed hearing your tips to hype me up for my last year 👍🏼
GIRLLLL YES! I am so proud of you! It just goes to show that you are capable of anything you set your mind to :)
Omg wow! I hope I can too it!
That’s amazing!
How did you do that?
i went from a 1.0 gpa in grade 9 to a 4.0 gpa in grade 10 11 and 12
here you go:
🦋have a good support system
🦋utilize online information
🦋 community college
🦋 self discipline
🦋 watch people the motivate you
🦋 utilize office hours
🦋 find a study routine
🦋 don’t be to hard on yourself
Thank you Lili for the summary.
Thanks
That’s really motivates you and very important than anything else
People should remember that

I got a lot of A s in high school but going to college I felt like the dumbest student. Still feel that way because I see so many kids that are way smarter
I’m in the same boat, but I’m praying to God that I can make a difference

I can definitely relate to that! I'm curious, what are your top three goals for college? Mine were getting a 4.0, creating better work habits, and graduating with my Master's a year early :)
i hear you
I’m hoping that I can bring my grades up and finish college. My dad died my first semester of college and that whole year I didn’t make the grades I should have, then I dropped out. Now a year later, I’m about to have my first daughter and want to start again when she’s a couple months old 💕
best of luck!

I totally agree about Community College or in my case College in Canada. High school does not prepare us for university as much as they think they do, college does prepare us for university. I always told myself in uni “ I’ve been through worse in college 🤷🏾♀️”
Also in college my tests were mostly short and long questions. As for university all my science tests except chemistry was multiple choice
yesss girl! So true. I think community college/college is a great transition into university. Definetly worth it!

Today, we live in an environment where we are surrounded by various electronic gadgets like televisions, computers, and mobile phones and we are so used to them, we can’t get away from them. Sometimes we waste too much of our time unnecessarily and we can’t even figure out where our time is going. Parents also get concerned about what their children are doing on their phones, whether they are using their time wisely or not. For students, it may seem difficult to track where they are investing their time or what they are doing on their phones. In high school I graduated with a 2.9 GPA. I just finished my first year of Uni with a 3.4. I really want to get that 4.0 GPA
Work hard and smart!! Good luck
try to use a grade calculator app. Because it can help you calculate how much you need to raise your grade.
Keep it up bro 💪🏼

I went from 1.9 to 4.0.
It was hard. But sacrifice will repay.
Congrats
How long did it take you to? Semester and credit hours to achieve that ?
this semester was horrific for me, went from a 3.7 to 3.1 because mental health took over and I was slipping with assignments didnt have motivation and discipline, when I finally got it together there was only a month left for me to bring up my grades and even tho I was getting good grades on the final assignments they were barely making my grades go up. so hopefully hopefully it can go up these next two semesters but idk how much time it'll realistically take
Oof!! Good luck, It was a tough year, I actually took it off because of the whole Covid situation. I couldn't find myself being able to study while the pandemic was at it's peak. Now, I'm back at it and I'm happy with my decision. Good luck to you, it must have been extremely difficult for you to be learning through all of that.

I’m currently in my freshman years of highschool sitting at a 2.5, trying to get 3.2 or above atleast. Im disappointed at myself and so is my family. I’m not a good student at all. I play video games atleast 1-4 hours a day, do my work Right before the deadline, start projects really late, and I’m trying to fix all these during my highschool years. And especially during this pandemic. We have online classes which did not help at all, and led to me not paying attention 70 percent of the classes I went to. I hope I can discipline myself so that I can create a good habit.

That’s amazing keep up the good work seriously that is really good!
This is a good video well done. If any student are in high school, college, or university every student needs this. Don’t forget to get planner, or use your phone calendar. Let’s be honest some people thinks you can remember doing things mentally, when that’s a lie. Due to short term memory, so for the sake of getting anything done, or out of the way is get a planner, or use your phone calendar.
I have a 2.50 gpa..i hope this helps!
I started at a community college and honestly got the best professors 😭I took AP1 and got a b my first go around because our professor gave us a LOT of extra credit crosswords to go towards exams.
Picking the right professors is also a good idea. Taking the time to research your professor before hand can help with getting good grades. Personally, I would say that you don't want a professor that is too difficult or too easy, you want a good balance between learning and being challenged. I had 1 professor that was too easy, the work wasn't challenging in any sense, but I've also had a professor that brought down my GPA from his extremely harsh grading metric and overzealous assignments. His 3 unit class should really have been a 5 unit from the amount of work that we did, more than half the students dropped the class, which was the 1st red flag. I went from an A to a C- grade by the middle of the semester and whenever I felt I was struggling I would attempt to speak to him to see what I could work on that would improve my understanding of the course. He wasn't rude or pompous in any means, he just seemed to struggle with simplifying these intricate systems of the material he was teaching. I respected his intelligence and academic achievements, but disapproved with his teaching methods. "I'm not on your level, sir. Please dumb down the material for me. 😂🙄"
🤣🤣 I love the way you explained your experience.
@@DNGH814 Yeah, cause it's all true! haha. It was a class that I struggled greatly in but just managed a C grade. If I know what I know NOW, then I would have been better off. You live and you learn, I don't let that bother me. Good luck to you! 😂
It's not really a huge leap to go from a B average to an A average. To from a C average to an A average is a huge leap. All you had to do was be a little more disciplined and that A average came easier for you. You did well by stopping being undisciplined.
I went to a community college for 6 years while working on the side. I got a 2.74 with an associates in studio art. After the pandemic, I decided to go back for Graphic Design. Not going to lie, I didn’t think about it, but I’m aiming to get a higher GPA so I have a better chance at getting into a University.

One thing I think worth mentioning is the gradin g scale for your classes. I’ve gone through my sophomores year in college thinking I got an A on all my courses but eventually you’ll need a >95 or higher to score a 4.0 gpa overall
Ciel INV yes it definitely plays a role! My grading scales were definitely different for each class and each school I’ve attended. For example, an A or 4.0 in my pathophysiology class was a 97% and an A for my food microbiology class was a 76%. Major differences haha
Wait so just because all your classes say you have an A doesn’t mean you actually have a 4.0?!? So basically just because I have all As right now doesn’t mean I have a 4.0 gpa?
Kayla Ramirez correct. A+ and A- make a great difference. A+ (
@@CielINV what does one A+, A-, and C+ results in? I’m stressing out because i have one C. I’m scared it’s gonna drop
@@jiminchu5455 letter grade. You may check your syllabus for it
I think for most class as long as youre above >65% you passed but depends on your syllabus
The fact that everyone wants a 4.0 underlies the problems people have finding work. I think there is a difference between A- and A+. If this factored in there would be less students at the top.
I agree with Ana that you should take a community for 1 year or 2 then transfer to the university you wants.

I'm in my final semester of my BS and I am not a straight "A" student. I'm basically a "C" average student. I was at a 2.91 until I moved to another State and that school did not accept all my credits so I went down to a 2.5. I was on academic probation and managed to bring it up to get out of that probation. Meanwhile, I've been just sort of trying to pass my classes just to finish school but doing so my GPA was not going up as fast as I wanted it to. Now, I'm in my final semester with only 2 classes left and my GPA is about 2.7. It's too late for me to bring it up. So, I really want to do to PA school I would have to work on my GRE to even be looked at. Are there ways for me to take classes after my BS to bring my GPA up?
