I was doing some tests on belted Sledgehammer tires vs the non belted ones today as well. I ran some GPS speed runs on the paved high school 1/4 mile track and the non belted tires did 51mph due to the ballooning vs the belted tires at 43 mph. I am running 18/46 gearing in my Ultimate Xmaxx. The belted tires although being slower they are more stable at speed and in cornering. As for jumps I find the non belted have a bit more air control.

Nice yeah that’s a fairly large difference in speed. I agree about the differences in driving characteristics. Belted is more for the track non belted to do backflips unless you are happy with just a single backflip then keep the belted. 🤪 Thanks for watching and the info about the speed runs is great thanks ✊

That thing is going to look good with the orange arms , I just blew my gears on my xmaxx and took it apart and it was missing two pins from the pin system to set the mesh🤦🏻‍♂️ the esc keeps cutting in mid air (witch has made me crash bad) and the body came all scuffed from the new packaging they have with the version 6 !

I posted a Pic i like it. On the gears thing i did the same thing before even getting thru a pack. Blew the stock gearing and the high speed gearing. I fixed it by going to a hot racing hardened steel spur 50T and a Robinson racing Extra Hard 18T Pinion gear. I will eventually get mod 1.5 gears for it but these are holding up for now. As for esc i would call traxxas on that one they may or may not do something for ya. Thanks for watching.
