me too - I remember laughing my ass off when they came back to Terry Christian and still hearing the band playing and wondering what the hell they'd been playing while we watched ads. So this gives a sense of it :¬) ! I also remember it as LOUD!
Thanks for posting the date the other post says 1992 but I believe yours. This is one of my favorite ones. Nirvana, soul asylum, and L7 all have awesome performances on The Word.
I think it's a modified 58' telecaster. He wanted one for his first guitar but they raised the price when he went to get it at a store and he didn't have enough money so he bought the jazzmaster instead.
Is there anything better from this era than this here performance? Absolutely not. This is not some 90's phenomenon, grunge or indie, this is melt-your-face-off HARD ROCK, and for my money, nobody does it better.
