Ahh.. such funny memories of the days spent 22 or so years ago wondering why the labels on the first few Thrill Jockey 12"'s said to play @ 33.3 rpm; but obviously meant to be played on 45 as intended. Eventually I read in an interview that initially it was indeed an honest mistake with the labels. But after hearing their music mixed into others DJ sets at the wrong speed; they found it so funny the band purposely issued a couple more with the wrong speed listed. My brother & I figured it out eventually; but the prank made me listen much more critically. Fuckin' love Tortoise. Such an amazing 12" series of _Millions Now Living Will Never Die_ remixes. Fuck I feel old!
