I feel like you and I think very similarly about fountain pens. I so enjoyed watching your video, Anita! When i find a pen I like, I too want most colours (like flowers, or art, or pizza, I wouldn't want to limit myself to just one forever). Glad to find someone similar 😊
Ok you win for most colorful and number of TWSBIs and Jinhaus I've ever seen in any collection! It was great to hear how your collection brings you so much joy. I'm always surprised that no one really talks about a Pilot Perrera at all. That is one I wondered about since it is at a good entry price point. I have a Sailor Lecoule and it writes much smoother than the two other sailors I have. I am definitively more of a Pilot fan too.
I love the Prera SO much if there was one just a little bigger...but that won't stop me from picking up another one with a different nib LOL! Thanks so much for watching - enjoy your pen journey❣️ 🎉
I gotta say, I really love ♥your "random" collections and your honesty and enthusiasm. Your happiness and love for your pens really shines! Your collection feels and looks like it belongs to a real person, rather than something created for content or camera presence. In all honesty, too many FP enthusiasts on UA-cam copy each other and their videos start to blend together after a while. I love seeing pen collections that have a variety of price points, brands, styles, colors that reflects the UA-camr's personality, taste and growth. TBH, when collections are entirely comprised of hand tuned 14K or 22K nibs, handmade high-end pens that are all $200 - $300+ (WHOA) while super gorgeous to look at, it can feel a little hard-to-relate-to. Whenever everything is too flawlessly arranged and color coordinated it feels too picture-perfect to be real (Stepford Pen Collection). You should continue to buy whatever feeds your eye appetite, without worrying about "randomness", because your pen collection feels like one colorful, really happy, well-loved, extended family. You seem to have a sense of loyalty, fairness and appreciation for ALL your pens, even if they're "practical" and no longer the shny, new pen on the block----you don't automatically toss them aside to the pay-no-mind heap. Are you an ENFP, by any chance?. Please resist falling into the UA-cam conformity / trendiness trap. Stay true-to-you. Your authenticity is really refreshing, relatable and greatly appreciated!
Thank you so much for your thoughtful (and insightful) comments! My fp hobby feeds my emotional side and brings me a lot of joy. I don't think I'll ever have a highly curated collection of pens, there are so many good ones at lower price points and I enjoy experiencing as many different pens as I can and sharing the journey with whoever wants to come along. I'm very open about my hobby here but I'm an introvert in person (too much people-ing in person gets tiring) and I'm typically very analytical and linear in my thinking and just in general LOL. It's funny how you see my creative, feeling side so clearly here! I'm an ISTP. Thanks so much for watching❣
Good Morning! OMG thank you for hanging out with me while I drink my coffee on this early Monday morning! I hope you had a nice Easter weekend! What a treat to see your pen collection and to hear you chat about where it all began and what drives you to buy pens. One of my favorite videos to watch. AND GIRL. I'm with you- PILOT!!!! it is so under-appreciated as a pen brand!! It rivals many many others!
Awww thanks for having me! Pilot snuck in there on me, I didn't realize how much I love them until I looked at how I'm buying them! I'm looking forward to the calligraphy nib Prera in the Amazon cart 😍 Hope your Easter was wonderful - have an awesome April! 🌹🪻🌸
Oh, I love this for you 😊😊 I’m wishing you the very best of luck in your pen-abling endeavors 😁 I, too, am a collector with multiples of the same models of pens! Your collection is wonderful and it’s making me look forward to my first full year in this hobby 😊
Thank you kindly! It's like little stories are attached to pens when you think a bit before buying LOL! My chaotic beginning shows my state of mind but it was sorting out by six months into collecting. I just love the colors and the inks, it's totally my happy place. Thanks for watching! 🎉
What a collection! Wow! Great video! Love your organization! Please do a review (if you haven’t already) on the Pilot E95s. Also - I can’t wait for the next gold nib pen! Thanks for sharing! God bless you!
Thanks so much for watching - I was figuring thing out the pricey way but it's ok...I'll hopefully make some new fountain pen users with my penabling stash 🥳 Have a wonderful week!
The Pilot E95S has the smoothest nib in my collection. Pilot is and has always been an excellent pen manufacturer regardless on the price point or type. 🎉
Watched every minute and loved it! That Mother of Pearl is gorgeous!! I hope you get your hands on it one of these day (I feel you so hard on the Leos - I love them too but maaaannn can't just be picking them up like candy, unfortunately lol) - great video :)
I hope I find the MOP, too! I have a plan B for a MOP pen (or similar) from Carolina Pen. I can't pick up those Leos like candy, either but I totally bit the bullet for Nebula! Thanks for watching❣️ 🥳
I need to look at the different Pilot nib options. They're such classic looking pens, the nib is like the fun part of them to me. I'm excited for your new pen to arrive 🥳 thanks so much for watching!
@@anitaanglin Since you are at that crossroads, you should look into the signature nib. I have yet to try it but it looks like a broad nib but with a little line variation. Hardly any videos on it. It looks to be a new nib that came out 4 or 5 years back but now offered on a few more Pilots models.
@@fb02 I think i saw it somewhere a week or so ago and wondered what it was. Thanks so much for mentioning it; I've made a note to do some research. I love line variation
It’s so nice to see a pen collection with such a vast array of makers and price points. I only have one “expensive” pen, a Benu talisman and it is not the most comfortable to write with for long periods. And I’ve been listing after other higher end pens like the Estie or Edison’s. But you’ve inspired me that it’s “okay” to love the less pricey pens, that it’s the joy that makes the difference not the price tag. I’ll keep on trying new less expensive BRANDS and not worry about fomo. I ordered a Hongdian M2 last night. Thank you.
The fomo is real but there are just sooo many pens out there and you don't have to go deep into your pocket to enjoy the experience. You just have to find the right pen for your hand and a nice ink for the pen. Thanks for watching! 🎉
I suppose this is how it starts… I had a couple of pens and then I decided to try some new ones. And ink. And then because I’m 81 and don’t want to have a LOT of things to store, I decided collecting pens might be fun. Now I have 14, and yesterday I added my 15th one found at a thrift store. I discovered it is a Stratford Regency from the 1950’s in NYC with an iridium tip and it still had ink in it!! Better than collecting things that have no purpose. Congrats on your collection.
Hi Anita! I just found your channel and I really enjoyed seeing your collection! I'm totally with you on the Kakuno and the Diamond 580, I totally love them both. I just ordered a Leonardo Mosaik in Hawaii with a stub nib. There's just something about the Leonardos - now that I've seen yours, I really can't wait to get it. I love how you describe fountain pens as your therapy - that's exactly how I feel about it too, I just hadn't thought of it that way... well said! Thanks for sharing your pen journey.
Hi! Thanks so much for watching! There's definitely a thing with the Leonardos 💗 but my Pilots and TWSBIs are my guilt-free pleasure! I'll be posting a video next week with more about my journey - the 8 pen questions tag. Enjoy your new Leo when it arrives - it's a beauty! 🥳
I loved seeing your full collection. I see many similarities with my collection Jinhao 82s, Kaweco Sports, Lamy, just about to start with a TWSBI :) Thanks for sharing x
This hobby is so much fun, especially when you find something that works for you and you get colors you enjoy looking at...so much more fun than other kinds of pens! Thanks for watching! 🥳
Love your collection! I understand your affection for blue-green pens. I hesitate on getting the Galattica because I do have the Mother of Pearl. I hope you find yours someday, it’s such a nice pen.
PENabling adventures!! Yes. lol. You are totally penabling me right now. The best part about my falling into this rabbit hole is discovering that once upon a time, my husband was also into fountain pens! We've been binging fountain pen videos the last 2 weeks. I want to go to a fountain pen show with him one day.. but I want to set aside more $$ so that I can start a little collection so I can do what you did - figure out what I like as far as nibs, weight, pen size etc. love your videos!
Thanks for sharing ! The Leonardo MZG Mother of Pearl just joined my collection by coincidence … I found it on ebay and still can‘t believe my luck since I got it for a bargain price in the auction. 😊
I'm so happy for you!!! Is it as pretty in person as it looks in pics? I'm going to start stalking for it in a couple of months! Enjoy your new pen and thanks for watching! 🎉

My single Eco doesn't have anything wrong with it, but like you...for some indescribable reason, the 580s just feel better :P and also like you, I've also never had a bad experience with Pilots. I keep hearing I should get a 823, but I also don't want to deal with pistons if I don't need to. I'd rather have a 743 for the cartridge, too
I love the TWSBI rainbow! I'm on the lookout for the limited/discontinued colors but I'm not stressing about it. I've missed a few and a few were more than I was willing to pay... That explains the consistently wonderful writing experience 💗 one of the Pilot staff also told me the Verdigris (743 US limited color) is going away by the end of this year.
