Nice bag! Question: ZIPPER: Verbally, you said to sew the zipper, placing the ends at about 1/4 inch from the CENTRE of the tabs you already sewed on. However, at 14:15 to 14:18, it doesn’t look like you did that. The zipper sewing appears to start not on the tab which is on the gusset. Thus, I am confused above where to place the beginning of the zipper, and where to end it. Can you please clarify?
On one side of the zipper you will measure 1/4 of an inch from the center of each gusset. This is at 11:57 showing where she sews the zipper in place. If you are still having some issues please reach out to us at info@sallietomato.com.
I purchased your pattern for the Jessica bag. I have a question. I see the temples on the pattern to cut out the pattern but it doesn’t say how long should it be. The temples is like 1/2 of the size.
Hi Cheryl, With adding a zipper pocket that has its bottom edge left unsewn; you would turn the bag RSO as step in 8, under ASSEMBLE BAG, on the second page of the Jessica pattern. You would be using the pocket open edge, instead of the opening in the lining seam. We hope this helps and thanks for watching!
The purchased pattern is only one piece…the shape of the main bag. The rest of the items are measurements you cut. The gusset has to be shaped by hand. I cut my patterns from a cricuit or my laser and now I will need to enter the measurements myself and design my own pattern. What did pay $5.99 for?
Would love to see a full version pattern with a larger size included and a few other options. Making one now. great pattern

The pattern piece is cut on the fold.
Not my first bag. Since I added the optional zipper pocket Where do I find the option to birth the bag through the end of the zipper pocket?

@@SallieTomato thank you. I'm still so blown away by being able to "birth" all that fabric 7 interfacing through the opening. Did it! Hooray.
@@cherylweber Yah! That is great to hear! Thank you so much for making this new pattern. We hope this inspires you to make another! :).

We find many of our sewists like to do measure and cut as it is fast and accurate to cut out. Thank you for your comments.
