Buying loupes was soooooo stressful!! I ended up buying a pair from q-optics and design for vision and trying both pairs for a month (most companies offer a 60 day money back guarantee) which I highly recommend! I really thought I was set on q-optics because I liked how light they were and the warranty but i ended up hating how light they were when i had the light on because the seemed to pull forward on my face and I had to really tighten the strap on my head to have them feel secure. I kept my designs and I love them! I bought my light through feather light because it was the lightest light and they offered a back up battery for only $100 extra which is super helpful.

A friend of mine is having the same problem with the q-optics because she has a really small head so the representative is going to adjust them for her :)

I got the Eclipse light with my loupes and the price came out to around $1450 for everything. 100% worth the little extra. If you ever want to purchase one in the future I definitely recommend it!
That was such a sweet and thoughtful gift to your classmates!!! I have the same exact loupes and was told I needed to practice with them a lot before I attempted competencies and whatnot with them on. I, too, have insane light/eye sensitivities (MIGRAAAINES) but I found less than a week in, it felt very natural. I hope you have the same experience. I love my loupes, except ONE thing... cleaning the inside of the lenses is so annoying. It always leaves a little bit of residual dust from the cloth. I use a ton of the spray it came with too... If anyone has any tips, I'll gladly take them! :) Keep it up! I just had my White Coat Ceremony and take my last final EVERRRR on Wednesday. I'm so eager to be done with hygiene school! lol

My big has sensitive eyes too and it took her 2 months to get used to them. I guess everyone is different. I just hope it won't be too bad for me.

Hi. I am a dentist graduated in Mexico, unfortunately here the fact of using magnifying glasses is not instilled, and I see that in the USA it is as a requirement to use them even as students. In Mexico, the only ones that use magnifiers or microscopes are endodontists, but they buy from the Carl Seizz brand. Your video was very good, good information.

i want a loopes and i was between all companies and then i ended by Q optics because of your Videos. Thank you so much for your Feedback . Also, for magnification what are your loopes magnification and whats your advice for a startup magnifications is 2.5 beter or 3.0 ?
I know most people go with 2.5 for hygiene

What do people in your school who wear glasses do when they have to wear loops? Do they have to take their glasses off?
I know they can put your prescription in the loupes.
Everyone in my class wears contacts in clinic so I'm not sure what someone who wears glasses would do.
There are inserts than you can get with your prescription so that way you don’t have to buy a new set of loupes every time your prescription changes. The inserts come with their own nosepiece so the insert will replace the original nosepiece.

What point in your program do you get your loupes?
We got ours the end of 2nd semester and began using them 3rd semester
How much did they cost? Did you have to pay the whole amount upfront?
I paid for mine in full at the time but there were those who did a payment plan with them!
I have Orascoptic but you should be glad you didn’t go with them. The loupes are okay but their customer service is a nightmare! I’ll never purchase from them again in the future!
Can you elaborate? I'll be buying loupes soon and I want to make sure I get a brand that is good quality and stands by their product.
YeseniaDLM they over charged me and took forever to refund. Then tried to say I owed more and harassed me for months over money I didn’t owe. I printed bank statements and invoices and everything for proof. The rep for my area was super rude to my whole class and acted like I was a complete idiot for wanting to increase my magnification from the standard. The first time my loupes came in one of the optics was bent sideways and I had to send them back. It was a lot of things that makes me not recommend them to anyone and I will not purchase from them in the future.
