The girl is ranked 737, hardly a pro. The Williams sisters once claimed they could beat any male player outside the top 200. They then played against Karsten Braasch (ranked 203), a guy at the end of his underachieving career. He beat them 6-1 (Serena) and 6-2 (Venus). Admittedly, they were at the beginning of their careers but these results are still quite a statement. They then announced they would surely beat a guy outside the top 300 to which Braasch respodended they should just wait a couple of months for a re-match - until then he'll have lost enough points.
I remember that. Thanks for pointing out that Venus and Serena were at the beginning of their careers and hadn't fully harnessed the arsenal that they would later display.
Andrew Lau happens to everyone, also when you play with people with weak shots because we’re not comfortable with dead balls and I always find myself landing my shots out of the court.
srsly wtf is going on here? the 15 year old girls in my residential community plays better than her, and the guy has no technique whatsoever, i dont understand how is he 4.0
Yes, he looks more like one of those 3.5 guys who can have success in singles because they can keep the ball in play. I know he had shoulder issues, so I'll forgive the serve and the service motion, but his backhand generally lacked any form. He was just blocking it far too much for a competitive 4.0 player in the leagues I play in. Maybe his league isn't as competitive.
really, i played tennins.. once in my life.. i don't even know why im here, but EVEN I could see that guy sucks pretty bad, he didn't understand how you're supposed to play. The game is not about only sending the ball on the other field, but also learning how to do that in the best way to its harder for the other to get it... but this guy only seems to be sending the ball to the other field like "i don't matter how i do it as long as its not in my field!" lol

The first few games, she tried too hard to finish him quickly and so did make mistakes at the critical points. She should make Chris move around the court a lot more until he got tired and then Chris would start to make more and more mistakes.
@@TanPham-sn3fc haha funny i get this response now. I just lost to someone in a close match and I think this is why. I should have focused on making him move more. @@vanillesosse I guess only from about #200 on you can have a living from that. Then it starts that you have to pay fo trainer and physiatrists - no income at all, but a lot of stress and tiring travelling.
@@vanillesosse Don't understand what you mean. It's rather a system problem, that many talents have not enough money to make it to the top, and the sport is in most cases left to the richer people who can afford that. What has that to do with envy?
@@netgodzilla4477 I think there was once a game between the best pro females (Williams sisters) and #203 of male players and the male player crushed the female players and said: ""They wouldn't have had a chance against anyone inside the top 500 because today I played like someone ranked 600th to keep it fun," So yeah, female athletes have no chance even against mediocre pro male athletes www.marca.com/en/more-sports/2017/06/27/595296da468aeb99218b464c.html
+A. Wash they were already billed among the top female players. And the guy said he played like someone with lower ranking to make it more interesting. The unfair comparison according to him was that male players can chase down balls easier and put more spin on the ball that female players cant handle
Also, the sister first claim they can beat any male player rank lower than 200, after the defeat they adjusted the claim to outside 350. But the guy says no chance above 500
dragonage200 You're right that even at their peak, they would lose to the same guy. Both sisters would admit that. However, that doesn't mean the comparison is fair. They would've done better at their peaks--it doesn't matter if they were "billed" among the top female players. They had yet to reach their peaks.
She's having a common problem that happens when you play someone below your level. it takes time to adjust to their eccentricities, and its difficult to play your best shots against someone who has inconsistent depth/ spin etc. She has nice rolling ground strokes when she's able to use them.
@Dr Sanguine Sunrise ikr. Like whats the use of footwork and focus if youre just gonna complaint because youre opponent is weaker. That has gotta be the dumbest shit ive heard
@@Jared7628 His serve is pathetic, says it's due to a shoulder injury but he has zero spin on it, and his 2nd serve is like 30 mph push. She likely has the ranking due to winning a 1st round match somewhere and not much more.
I didn't think this guy was terrible. He had to creampuff his serve because of injury, but his strokes were decent for the most part. Plus, he was quick and agile. He recovered well to short balls and rallied with respectable consistency IMO.
Problem is the ability of both players was a bit oversold and here we are watching them on youtube. He's not horrible, but it's about the skill level of someone you can easily find playing at a local tennis club.
Let's just settle this once and for all and make all pro sports intramural and meritocratic. I had to wrestle girls in high school who wanted to join up, why don't tennis players, chess players, basketball players, and soccer players have to do the same? Probably, because just like in wrestling, women get destroyed at top tier competition. If you want to proclaim everyone is equal, then stop handling women with kid gloves.

I've been playing for around 7 months now and I'm about their skill level (a bit worse), but seeing them play makes me want to improve also. That is also why I often watch pro games because it helps me analyze my playstyle and technique.
@@LukasS0292 i mean if you want help with improving your game i think you should check out 2 minute tennis here on youtube he's been super helpful for me
The first few games of this match is a perfect illustration of how someone who grew up playing tennis from a young age can struggle against a less skilled, pusher, player. I've been there.
The most annoying thing ever, i sh*t u not, my issue was always Stamina and a good mentality, recently i worked on the mentality department, but still need to work on stamina, cause im tellin ya these pushers warn u down pretty badly stamina wise
I'm inclined to believe this guys rating definitely 4.0 and I'm not surprised he has a good win record, more than anything he's pretty consistent, has a simple but effective pusher game plan, throws a lot of junk and the occasional heater ( which is really annoying to play against since you end up second guessing a lot ). The pro is definitely better stroke wise but was more hot headed and committed errors she didn't need to. I guess she tried hitting thru him but he had pretty good retrieving skills
No One these are not the strokes of a 4.5 player. My guess is that his region is pretty weak because he would be mid-level 3.5 in USTA Texas/South/Florida
@@andrewkoines6389 i was being specific to them, but i do think serving consistently will usually show the difference between the best amateur and worst pro.
I was a self taught tournament player for 15 years in the 80’s and 90’s. I played in lots of tournaments, and this guy is definitely on the low end of 4.0. At best.
I'm pretty sure this woman isn't professional standard (WTA tour level) and I would say the man is a beginner, no technique on serve backhand or forehand and playing no topspin or slice shots.
The reporter at the beginning said that the female is #737 in the world. So, comparing her to players hovering around 100 is unfair - it is expected that they all would blow her off the court. I agree that the guy is not a real 4.0 player, more like 3.5. My 4.0 teammates would give him double bagels. Ranking him as 2.5, though, is unjust (in my opinion) - 2.5 players are true beginners.
Honestly, he had some very impressive defensive shots. I think she was just caught off guard a bit with how well he was able to keep the ball deep while on the run. At the end of the day, it's not a ratings game as if it only comes down to the number. It's all about the ball.
If Nick learned to come forward to hit a ball instead of always going backwards and catching the ball at a low point, he'd be able to generate a lot more power.
Heavy Balls and Moon Balls throw me off my groove too. You get less of those on tour. That's his distinct advantage. For example I play worse when I play my mom because she hits a lot of floaters. Hard to time the pace sometimes. Exactly what's happening with her.
I have seen worse, and they didn't have a shoulder injury like he does(although not gonna lie this one armed guy we played against in high school has a better serve than this guy, yes a one armed guy played tennis, small school districts)
I'm not going to mention the serve due to his injury, but there seems to be two areas in particular that he needs to improve on. 1. Footwork. 2 Racket preparation. That second one seems to be a major issue in my opinion. He is hitting most balls late because he's not really preparing at all, and as a result there is very little backswing. It's resulting in a late contact and a weak ground stroke.
Young age players like Monica Seles and Gabriela Sabatini just to name a few were winning matches against top ten women at the age of 14 , and kids like Nadal and wilander ,and many others ,doing the same thing on the men’s side at 15 , 16 . Don’t forget that Jimmy Connors at the end of his career bit Martina Navratilova in 2 sets and Jimmy played with only one serve and gave her the advantage of the doble’s court and still won the match !!!
@@Nanaminanamin Would you say Camila Giorgi is like this? Or maybe her father is like this, making money off of her skill whilst keeping her at that level on purpose?
I am glad it was explained the situation for both of them. She probably was a little tired from playing a probably exhausting qualifying match. Shoulder surgery may explain his 2.0 pancake serve, his lateral skills and front court technique. Do another video when he is fully recovered and she is fresh. I will withhold judgment until then. 🤔
hirdy6 That's great man, keep doing your thing! I was really addressing this to people constantly hating saying "they suck" "why is she pro", stuff like that.
I'm far, I mean, FAR from being a professional tennis player, but I play twice a week, and I bet my car I won't get destroyed against the guy. People are saying 'is she a real pro' but look at her shot making, footwork and body balance. Don't forget that you play awkward against an awkward opponent.
John G Whoa dude, no need to be disrespectful to her name, that was rude. I get what you're saying; I currently play tennis, and I would most likely beat these guys. Sorry if I offended you or anything..
His serve actually leaves his racket at an upward angle before dropping over the net at about 22mph. I honestly think the lack of pace had the woman frazzled. But he’s good for only having played 4+ years.
Nick did well! He made a few more unforced errors as the match wined towards the 8th set but in the beginning he did very well. The difference is that the pro had gotten more consist in her strokes and made less errors as the match progress but Nick returned her serve well and was in the point and rally it out for 3 or 4 strokes. To be honest; the pro had a very weak serve even for the lady's game. Nice comparison.
If you ever get a chance... go to the US Open... and go to the outer courts.. .you can stand 20 feet away from them. You will appreciate them even more then.
@Based Bear I just went last year. I haven't said a word since. Saw Karen Khachonov up close. His forehand put fear in my heart🤣 Honestly the women too. I got to stand next to Venus and her coach on court 1 as she practiced, saw Danielle Collins too. No thanks lol! They'd whoop me in a heartbeat.
@radiohead2206 I hit a lot harder than this guy but his consistency is annoying. My least favourite player to play. Give me someone who hits properly any day.
I know this guy personally. He could probably beat the majority of you. By the way, he is now 4.5. Everyone judges his game until they play them.. then they get worked and they don't know what happened. I happen to be able to deal with it, but that's because I never underestimate it. I also have a good slice, overhead on both wings and a competent serve volley net game. That's how you have to beat him, because it's rarely going to happen at the baseline. He is a perfect example of Winning Ugly, the book by Brad Gilbert. You all judge, and I know the comments will continue to consistently talk negative, but I'd love to see you play him.
yeah thats true he is able to grind from baseline using moonballs. This sort of tactic can only be punished by top 300 players where they are able to flatten the ball easily.
I know this was 9 years ago but I hate how many people were shitting on him and calling him "3.0 at best". He was clearly hitting consistent balls with topspin, especially on his forehand, making her have to rally. If all of these commenters were to video themselves playing, they'd be humbled immediately.
I was wondering why HE was grunting lol.. and after what, the FIRST game. Bro are you tired already? or are you just trying that hard? idk which would be worse.
I'll wager she hasn't had to return this many moon balls in 10 years. When you're used to playing pros I think this might have you out of your element.
Darth Vader its the same idea, he just puts in with more spin and power with bicep strength. He wins tennis by getting away with own short balls and punishing opponent's short balls.
Keep in mind that the difference in level isn't as much about whether you can win two games out of ten, or whether you can play badly well enough to drag her level down, since that's what pushers do--especially when the stronger player isn't that excited about the match. What matters more is that he could play her a hundred times, and he'd lose a hundred times--and the losses would get worse and not better.
Really? Why wouldn't she? Even if she didn't try it shouldn't even break a sweat to beat a amuture. She's played since she was a teen and your telling me it's not shameful to lose to someone who played for a year max??
Why should it be trying to prove something?..im sure any woman in the top 1000 would struggle to find competitive practice..why not avail of a male amateur
If the idea was to prove something, then it would prove that professional women and amateur men are pretty similar. But it isn't. And it doesn't prove that.
@@Sw499erB0iZ you are hugely misinterpreting what anyone has ever said. Nobody is claiming that all women will be beaten by all men. @@gj4312 nah people say in general men beat women regardless and has nothing to do with training and/or skills but if a woman trains enough she can surely beat a man, so that argument can be put to rest.
I apologize but please DO NOT say that you're a 4.0 level player when you play like this guy. barely 2.5 , with a weak serve and only one strategy of pushing to the baseline , this is not a 4.0 level.
It is obvious she wasn't trying very hard, and apparently she had just played a competitive match this same day. Get real. Internet tennis dudes can be the worst.
She should be expected to beat him i dont know why all these feminists in the comment section are all making this such a big deal this just shows deep down that they know men are just better at sports
Its both impressive that he was beating a pro at the start but also a good demonstration of the immense physical advantages we men have. You could see the difference in skill and endurance though as the match went on, she was clearly the better player. I would wager if this was on a pro court, with an audience, she would beat him with relative ease because he wouldnt be used to the circumstances and the pressure and would buckle, make more mistakes etc and thats where you seperate the pros from the amateurs, when the pressure is on and everyone is watching you.
She who is decent and played college, which is an incredible achievement and is ranked 737 which is insanely good, got broken (tennis term; not actually broken) by a man with no strokes.
He's a typical recreational player. Hes' obviously has never trained or been coached. It's bad tennis compared to players with real training but it's what you mostly see on the public courts every weekend.
Again, freeze it...(or send me your email and I'll send you the freeze-frame of the ball ON THE LINE). Besides, he was already behind it. He'd have called it out if it was.
Good to know you're open-minded enough to want to actually LOOK at the (up-sampled and interpolated to 60fps) video I have (which, when slowed-down, then frozen at 03:08/47 shows the ball contacting the line). I've even offered to SEND you the proof, but do you take me up on it? Nope, you just decide you're right without further investigation. Smart. You're the one that screwed up my last McDonald's order, aren't you?
For people who claim this guy can't play tennis (not a 4.0), you should record yourself playing tennis. Reality vs imagination. Everyone is a pro until they take a camera and start watching themselves play. I did, and I know what it's like. (I am a 4.0 player).
Thank you for saying what every reasonable person is thinking. All these 3.5's and 4.0s thinking they're hot shit would be horrified to see themselves play on camera if they think this guy is so bad. He honestly probably wins A LOT in 4.0
Very interesting match. After watching the first game, I thought the final score would be closer. He's a good athlete and competitor, you can tell, even though his strokes are unorthodox. He definitely looks self-taught. I have such a friend. He destroys me on the court, paints the corners, and has amazing touch even though he is self-taught and very unorthodox and looks like he's never had a lesson in his life. Yet, my strokes look JUST LIKE Federer's...at least in my mind they do. ;-)
🤔🤥🤥 this guy is probably on my level, and I’m no where near top 10,000 players in the world. Besides basic stroke and no control of the court, he has a lot worse serving than I do. With that said, I’m questioning the legitimacy of his 4.0
I guess because they feel like it was way too competitive to be called destruction. On low levels like this even minor edges translate into clear results.
Watch his serve and then consider he won a couple games. He’s 32, at that age, the vast majority of pros are done. You can see his fitness isn’t there. For him to win any games means she got worked over.
His strokes may look like shit, but he's fast and plays great defense. Hard to get the ball past him and he gets the ball back high and deep without much pace. With that kind of game I bet he can wear down and beat a lot of 4.0s, even if at a quick glance he looks more like a 3.0...
Nice try, and they probably were quite a good match for each others' levels. I know a (male) youngster who got to about 400 in the ATP men's ranking. He told me he was frequently contracted by some of the top 10 ladies, and never ever lost a set against them (now talking about 5 years ago). Before I stopped playing due to a severe back injury, I was playing in the 6th and 7th leagues of our city's tennis league where I stay (it was 3rd team in our club), and the lady would've made our mixed doubles teams, but the gent wouldn't have been picked for the men's league third team.
baldy has no cardio , i think she won based on cardio and serve knowledge ,,,,, how amateur is amateur and how professional is pro thanks, good fun ,awesome topic
+steveh1010 Yeah the better your opponent the better you are, and you have a higher level of game. When I play people that suck it brings me down and out of my rhythm. I can't elevate to my highest level as I they cannot keep up. With higher level players I can warm up fast and play top tennis and not cool down because my opponent cannot keep a rally going.
She is much more skilled and aggressive and knows how to attack the short ball. He is just trying to get everything back the best he can. I actually did this same experiment. I was a 4.5 player, and got on a tennis site and refused to play any girl under 6.0 and ended up playing someone who made it to the college division 1 Finals and almost won it all. She was really good, and was actually up on me very early in the match, but I came back to win in the end. It was actually a lot of fun! So thankful for women in the world otherwise life would get pretty boring!
Awesome video. Thanks for posting. I wanted to ask where this video was shot. The park looks beautiful. Open green space and clean tennis courts with smooth traffic.
I was going to ask "why" this video was shot. Is it another piece of feminist claptrap trying to say ooooh look. A woman beating a man. This would put it down at the level of the laughable Battle of the Sexes in 1973 between Bobby Riggs (then 55 yrs old) and Billie Jean King (then 29 yrs old). Does nothing shame these women. The best thing they can do on this subject is just keep quiet and hope the topic of conversation moves on to something else as quickly as possible.
Wow...Selinor, why all the hate. It's a simple video...and you're bringing up the King/Riggs match from 73? For you to infer this was created as some sort of Feminist propaganda tells everyone you have some other issues going on here.
+Selinor578 lol exactly as you've said there, it has the hidden agenda suggesting women are weaker than men that it takes a profession to beat an amateur. Why are you so fussed then? You see and suspect what you fear or feel insecure about, ever felt inferior to woman in your work place? Seems like it. It's women asking for EQUAL pay in tennis that triggered the so called battle of the sexes(publicity stunt),with WTA tour being such a huge success and catching so many eyeballs all over the world, I don't see why shouldn't female players be paid more like they're now
Of course you have to switch up your game; that's a fundamental part of tennis. Tennis is about your own game, of course, but it's also about adapting to your opponent. You have to anticipate where they are going to hit the ball, the depth of the shot, the width, the spin etc. When you're playing against really good players on the same level as yourself (like this girl in the video) you play in a similar style, so you become accustom to that way of playing. However when you play an amateurish player, you have to completely alter your style, your stance, positions on the course etc. This is all a key part to playing tennis - knowing your opponent. When I play against people of a similar standard to myself, or at least similar playing styles, then it comes second nature and I adapt and grow into the game much easier. However, if you put me against a completely different player (maybe of less experience) then I will struggle more so to adapt. Of course my better experience will probably overcome that player, but it's not as easy as it looks especially when you're used to playing a certain mould of players.
Roger Federer does that to journeyman in slams. He play ultra aggressive and trick shots against low ranked players to end quickly. Against higher rank playing beautiful will make him pay.
+JustsC00IGuy You should never try to adapt to your opponent. You always make your opponent adapt to you. That way you can change the game to your liking.
This is hard to watch when She’s got perfect technique but no tactic. And he’s got poor technique and better tactic than her. All she had to do was be more aggressive and come to the net ASAP and go for the kill.
That's totally spot on but I think her lack of a coordinated tactic comes from her having little confidence in her attacking shots which either end up in the net or long .... She's clearly playing with a very stiff but light racquet which requires far more racquet head speed to keep the ball in and her lack of confidence ends up in more tepid flat shots.
Most of the people commenting on this video haven't a clue. The woman is probably much more used to playing people who hit a, harder, flatter, much more consistent ball. The guy knew that if he tried to go toe to toe with the woman in terms of pace and power, he was going to get spanked. So his game plan was to feed her junk balls, landing them high and deep with hardly any pace, forcing the woman to try and go for too much, bring out errors and hopefuly frustrate her. It seemed to work for a while, but the superior shot making and penetration of the woman told in the end. She did well to avoid getting frustrating and imploding. It would have been interesting to see what the outcome would have been if the guy was able to serve properly.
sorry but if you wanna consider yourself a pro you should be good enough to deal with moon balls. i mean, if moon balls are really the only way to frustrate pro's, why don't women play like that in real matches? honestly, she's not that good. she made a lot of unforced errors which pro's shouldn't be making, especially when playing such a bad opponent.
antonmigr Some pro women do play like that in real matches and it works! However, you only see televised female matches of players ranked in the top 150 and they would all probably be able to crunch away moon balls for fun, hence why you've probably never seen it. I agree though, she's not very good in comparison, but she is ranked well outside the top 700 and would get spanked by any of the players on the WTA Tour.
maglore You're absolutely right. I've seen shitty, shitty casual players beat much better opponents by forcing them to 'overplay' each shot. Ugliest form of tennis ever (moon balls over moon balls over moon balls), btu it works.

World rank of 737 is quite an achievement, but this girl is playing like she's ranked outside the top 2000
I remember that. Thanks for pointing out that Venus and Serena were at the beginning of their careers and hadn't fully harnessed the arsenal that they would later display.

Yes, he looks more like one of those 3.5 guys who can have success in singles because they can keep the ball in play. Ikr she doesn’t look pro

Serena and Venus Williams were trounced 6-1, 6-2 by a guy who was ranked 203 when they played.
+dragonage200 They were also extremely young. Not to say they would beat him now, but it certainly isn't a fair comparison.
+dragonage200 They would now as well, it´s not the same ball game. The ball speed and tempo makes a big difference.
She's having a common problem that happens when you play someone below your level. it takes time to adjust to their eccentricities, and its difficult to play your best shots against someone who has inconsistent depth/ spin etc. She has nice rolling ground strokes when she's able to use them.

He did not seem to know how to create a winning position, he just looped the balls into the middle.

KingOfGames yeah but biologically it takes them more effort to do each set than it does for men.

The biggest differences between the pro female and amateur male is serving
@@yangwarren9954You mean this guy was serving?
I'm inclined to believe this guys rating definitely 4.0 and I'm not surprised he has a good win record, more than anything he's pretty consistent, has a simple but effective pusher game plan, throws a lot of junk and the occasional heater ( which is really annoying to play against since you end up second guessing a lot ). The pro is definitely better stroke wise but was more hot headed and committed errors she didn't need to. I guess she tried hitting thru him but he had pretty good retrieving skills

I was a self taught tournament player for 15 years in the 80’s and 90’s. I played in lots of tournaments, and this guy is definitely on the low end of 4.0. At best.
He's on the low end of 3.5 with a 2.5 - 3.0 serve
he may have been nervous
I would put him at 3.5 because although he has poor technique he will beat 3.0 on tenacity alone. He was pretty tenacious getting to balls

When you get to a certain level you learn how to abuse these low level players though it should honestly only throw you off for a game or so.

Not just you...
He was pretty good but she wore him down. When you play and practice as much as a pro you are well conditioned and have more experience in situations
It's resulting in a late contact and a weak ground stroke.
ok

Nick did well!
He made a few more unforced errors as the match wined towards the 8th set but in the beginning he did very well. The difference is that the pro had gotten more consist in her strokes and made less errors as the match progress but Nick returned her serve well and was in the point and rally it out for 3 or 4 strokes. To be honest; the pro had a very weak serve even for the lady's game. Nice comparison.

🤔🤥🤥 this guy is probably on my level, and I’m no where near top 10,000 players in the world. Besides basic stroke and no control of the court, he has a lot worse serving than I do. With that said, I’m questioning the legitimacy of his 4.0
She destroyed him why are the comments acting like she didn't lol
I guess because they feel like it was way too competitive to be called destruction. On low levels like this even minor edges translate into clear results.
Watch his serve and then consider he won a couple games. He’s 32, at that age, the vast majority of pros are done. You can see his fitness isn’t there.
For him to win any games means she got worked over.
What's with his lolly-pop serve?
Misleading video title really. If his record is 30/4 at 4.0, he's clearly much stronger than 4.0.....
Marco Campos If they played again, I think she'd annihilate him since she'd now be dialed in to the conditions and his weird moonball-ish shots.

Wait, that guy is a 4.0? Not possible.
if that is a 4.0, then I am ready for move up to 5.5....
Exactly, not 4.0.
was thinking the exact same thing, he is 3.5 at best
I wouldn't even say three fives my dad is a 3.5 and he would kill this guy.
Before I stopped playing due to a severe back injury, I was playing in the 6th and 7th leagues of our city's tennis league where I stay (it was 3rd team in our club), and the lady would've made our mixed doubles teams, but the gent wouldn't have been picked for the men's league third team.
baldy has no cardio , i think she won based on cardio and serve knowledge ,,,,, how amateur is amateur and how professional is pro
thanks, good fun ,awesome topic
Can we give him props for recording this in 1080p in 2013?
The announcer was epic! "Where did it all go wrong for you?" hilarious
This dude would have been like maybe second doubles on my varsity high school tennis team...
He's JV material lol
He had a shoulder injury look at the caption
female pro? should i laugh now or later?
She's actually not bad at all. Sometimes it's difficult playing someone that's isn't that good, if that makes any sense.
+Space Lion you don't understand the game.
+sirbrad4 totally dude. You are so right.
+Whatever I will tell you what's true. Make sure you let me know before you have your next opinion and I will let you know if you are wrong again.
+Kevin P Portland OR
+VolleyCam is this next to cedar hills blvd? near the dmv?
+Selinor578
lol exactly as you've said there, it has the hidden agenda suggesting women are weaker than men that it takes a profession to beat an amateur. Why are you so fussed then? You see and suspect what you fear or feel insecure about, ever felt inferior to woman in your work place? Seems like it. It's women asking for EQUAL pay in tennis that triggered the so called battle of the sexes(publicity stunt),with WTA tour being such a huge success and catching so many eyeballs all over the world, I don't see why shouldn't female players be paid more like they're now
he's more of a 3.5 with a 3.0 serve
Ben Tj, His serve is because of his injury.
Agree
With amauters you really have to change up your game. Things you never do as a pro you have to do w/ amateurs.
How do you change up your game besides DOMINATE?
It would have been interesting to see what the outcome would have been if the guy was able to serve properly.
sorry but if you wanna consider yourself a pro you should be good enough to deal with moon balls. i mean, if moon balls are really the only way to frustrate pro's, why don't women play like that in real matches? honestly, she's not that good. she made a lot of unforced errors which pro's shouldn't be making, especially when playing such a bad opponent.
antonmigr
Some pro women do play like that in real matches and it works! However, you only see televised female matches of players ranked in the top 150 and they would all probably be able to crunch away moon balls for fun, hence why you've probably never seen it. I agree though, she's not very good in comparison, but she is ranked well outside the top 700 and would get spanked by any of the players on the WTA Tour.
maglore
You're absolutely right. I've seen shitty, shitty casual players beat much better opponents by forcing them to 'overplay' each shot. Ugliest form of tennis ever (moon balls over moon balls over moon balls), btu it works.
If this guy is considered amateur then I'm considered pro
ThatAwkwardGuy He's playing injured. Also everyone looks alot slower in vids. Filming yourself can be pretty humbling. Definitely do it if you can. Pretty eye opening.
@@Bubbles99718 - Nope, calling this guy an amateur is an insult to amatuers
RS 7 anyone that plays tennis and isnt a pro is an amateur. you sound like an absolute moron that cares so much about his NTRP rating online, and tries to compare himself to others online. he also has a shoulder injury. please shut up and play the game.
Pretty convenient that you're just so much better than him but can't prove it.
He played bad
They both make the game look so difficult 😢
It is difficult
Haha amateur
The real pros make it look easy.
That's because it is.
Once she figured him out, she beat his ass.
His "serve" was a joke. 4.0 must mean nothing in ATP now.
Once she stopped making so many mistakes and he got a bit tired. He was very good at chasing after her hits and she missed some pretty easy shots in the first few games. Then she got more consistent and he less so...
@@JasonRennie she sucked though lmao. I would not even give her a set ffs
@Soc1alBK it's slow af but consistent.
*WTF.. Adding 'Pro' doesn't make you one.. Just like adding 'Dr.' doesnt mean you are the real deal*
I'm a love Doctor!!
What about Dr. J? Man could he operate on the court!!
If she lives her life by winning matches in competition and nothing else, then she is a pro.
The level of this match is pretty low imo
77Wells I feel a little bit sad for you as I see the likes is increasing to 81 now.
She moans like a pro...
This dude got no backhand to speak of, he legit just puts his racket there and hope for the best.
He doesn't hit well but his timing and consistency is solid. You couldn't get that from just a few months of playing.
Sorry, but this guy is not 4.0. NTRP players and Leagues tend to inflate their ratings. This gentlemen is a 3.0-3.5 at BEST.
+Westside Shred
I can't agree more.
i wont comment about other aspects of the guy's game but his serve is not 4.0
Remember when both Venus and Serena Williams said they could beat any man ranked below 500 or whatever and some dude ranked in the 700s spanked them both.
Ummmm, it was 203 get your facts straight. observer.theguardian.com/osm/story/0,,543962,00.html
At any rate, yeah most touring professional male players in the modern era can at least hang with them if not beat them. But I bet most of the guys showing up here are just talking shit.
Christopher King Meh, how the fuck was I supposed to remember something I read 16 years ago? Point is, those arrogant bitches got beat.
diesel828 Settle sparky no need to get all profane and shit. Just saying three things:
1. Hell yah they got beat.
2. There is a qualifiable difference between a top 200 player and a top 700 player.
3. Most of the guys shooting their mouths off in here are talking shit.
Ciao.
203 is not top 200.
Yeah? Well, 203 is not top 200, okay?
I play tennis a few times a year, am 52 years old, and have not played consistently since I was 18. I would crush either of these two.
