My husband used to do set design. So it doesn’t surprise me that the Blood Moon had its budget slashed. It also doesn’t surprise me that it only had a staff of six people. The Art Department always shows up for work. Always.
I think the last house about the collector and the blues player would be a favorite of mine because I know the actual story they are referencing about the actual blues singer they are kind of discussing which is Robert Johnson. What a story.
I loved this video! I come from a theatre background and the amount of detail, ingenuity and old school “gotchas” is incredible in these houses. I have’t been able to attend an HHN yet so I appreciate the MAM Club providing such thorough coverage for this event-both coasts!
Ok but what’s more terrifying: the special effects in the Haunted Houses or the sandals from Alan’s Hades costume?! 🩴😊
I’m with Team Max, HHN is not my thing but this tour looks very doable for me.
Wait a minute. You're telling us that only SIX people decorate ALL of those houses?! 🤯
I am so excited to watch this video! This tour is on my bucket list for the next time I actually have time to work it into an HHN trip. So much detail and craftsmanship goes into every aspect of HHN and it’s very hard to see all the gorgeous details when you’re walking through during event time and on the edge of your seat (metaphorically) waiting for scares. I am so happy MAM got to do this tour, especially with all the amazing IPs being featured this year.
Molly as Quasimodo “I would lean forward and wouldn’t be able to get back up” 😂 same, girl. I’d be stuck leaning forward like “can someone bring me an old fashioned and charcuterie?” 😂
😂😂😂😂😂!
I didn't know they specifically called for differently abled actors for roles without limbs!! I love that so much!!
Yes! Years ago there was a house called Psychoscarepy Home for the Holidays. This man was in a boo hole and stuck out his hand which was misshapen and screamed gimp hand at us. We were so scared and yet so tickled. We learned then they hire all different types of actors. Still to this day one of the best scares I've had at HHN.
This is so cool. I never knew Universal did this type of tour. Still creepy in daylight.
Great video!! We did one of the VIP Experiences back in February and also had Kelly as one of our guides, she was brilliant! The guides make the experiences so much better, hoping to do this one when we do HHN next year 😎
I was thinking maybe 100 people with all those details! Woahh incredible how much work they put in! 😮
I’m terrified of haunted houses. We went to HHN last month and I did do two houses, stranger things and dueling dragons. But after that I was done and just enjoyed the park.
I love seeing them from this angle, makes me feel not as afraid of them. It is really amazing what they can do with them.
Also I got the same shirt there that Molly is wearing 🙌
Ahhh love this video 🎃 Also pretty sure I saw you & Alan the day you two did the four unmask tour & got to snag a selfie! 😎 Love the mam fam! You guys are great 👏🏼
I’m with you, Molly. If a dog dies in a movie, I’m done. I turn the movie off, except for John Wick, only because my husband made me keep watching so I could see him get revenge.
Thank you so much for doing these tours!!! As someone who would NEVER be able to visit these houses bc I am scare adverse (in MAM verbiage fashion), its fun to see the the details!! Maybe, I will do the tours instead!! ❤
It was cool to see you guys sitting and talking indoors coffee date style instead of running around disney.
The attention to detail is superb
Random notes here for the "Darkest Deal" house...
-The corn was dressed up bamboo stalks. Universal did learn its lesson. Unfortunately, another themepark used actual cornstalks, so hurricane 😕
-Got to read the contract Mr. Spruce agreed to. It sucked! He traded in his soul(and others) for A gig. One.
We do the Universal VIP tours, and in 2021, we had the husband of Jack the Clown's scare actor!! We got to see some of the sets backstage, so very cool!!! I love this idea, as someone who wants to see the houses, but not being scared, rofl.
Loved all of the backstage secrets! I happy to see a clear picture of the baby yeti. I hadn't seen it in all of the videos I watched.
I love this video so much, learning so much about the houses, the lore and how everything work is so cool. Also love the enthusiasm of you guys explaining everything and how happy it made you to visit something so dear to your heart. Thank you for making and sharing this videos with us!
❤❤❤❤
Fantastic video! Love the idea.
I loved this video! It’s so interesting to learn about all of the detail behind the houses. I’ll have to add these tours to my growing list of things I want to do in the parks!
Thank you for doing the work for us scardy cats!
Molly's disgusted face by the "Hot Dogs" sign made me laugh harder than it should've 😂
I am watching this a whole seven months later, having done all of these houses multiple times, and watching your videos from the media night I was STILL jumping from the scares watching the video! 😂
alan being able to date the exact year and event mariah carey was lip singing had me cackling 💀
The adding audio part is so cool I had the pleasure of scaring in the jungle and I believe they added odd fellows monologue when he finds the skull but before there was no audio☺️
Great breakdown. I'm a huge fan of the Dueling Dragons as well. It has a special place on my heart. Pretty house ❤️💙
Lol I guessed right for the number of people decorating the houses. Great video.
... are Boo Bucks like Schrute Bucks?
I love these videos! The general crowdedness and overall vibe of HHN wasn't for me, but being a theater nerd and knowing this is an option, I may do this tour next year.
Theater Nerds Unite!😂
This is great! Thank you!!
Learned so much in this video… like how Molly likes it better in the dark, but not Max. 🥁😂
I woukd NEVER step foot into Halloween Horror Nights, but i really enjoy Stranger Things and the Last of Us. So thank you for taking us along to get to see the details!
Damn…. Allen looking FOIN!!! 🤤❤️
Love your videos and you guys! Really enjoy watching them, whether we have a trip booked or not!! I have a thought for you. We are heading to HHN in a couple of days and one thing that we would have loved to see that no one is doing us some scenario videos. For instance, one video you could go to a specific waiting area and the x,y and x houses and see how many you get done by park opening. Then do one from a different waiting area and different houses, etc to see what the best plan is. Just a thought. I know I would find value in it.
I guessed 10!!! 6 is insane!!!
i would love to watch you go through both tours every year! if i can afford to go, iʻm not going to be able to afford both so i love this chance to learn more about the story and see the details~!
Could you post the set photos you took? I want to read the papers from Unmaksed 😂 theres so much detail, iʻd like to actually read it
MY GIRL is exactly what I thought of too, as soon as he said it!!!
Appreciate the description of the Darkest Deal house...it was pitch black during our walkthrough besides the first and last rooms, so we missed ALL of that detail. At one point, I hit a banister and a cast member had to lead me by the arm to the next room. Could not see at all.
Also, I know it's Alan's favorite, but we chose ice on Dueling Dragons, and then nothing happened. It was the last house we did, almost 1AM so maybe they were just tired. But it left us very confused. Didn't know until watching this video what was supposed to happen.
But Bloodmoon was by far the best house for us! Loved seeing the details there.
hahahah i'm stealing the high five -> turkey maneuver.
Perfect Friday the 13th content
Hollywood horror nights now you are talking ❤
the first house my fiancé and i did happen to be Monsters. we had some idiots in front of us that continuously tried to hit Phantom. at one point i grabbed this guys backpack to pull him away and the phantom blew me a kiss 😆 but then scared the sh*t out of me! the last part i got every single scare back to back and flew into so many props 😭😭 i came out hyperventilating and security was asking if i was okay. i was PHENOMENAL. best house EVER and i’ve been going for 7 years 😍
Okay I always click on mam fam videos. Horror nights I usually last a 14 seconds to a minute because I don't like being scared. However I love making of videos on DVD and this felt like that. Thank you.
I just watched your Disney Magic video. Would love to see you review more cruises, especially non-Disney.
Cruise video coming Sunday!
Yes! I want to take a cruise and would love to see you review some other cruise lines
Molly-where did you get that awesome mug????
Loved learning all the backstage stuff...not a fan of scary but Love the details that go into it all! Lots of respect for their work!
Wish there was a PSA for people that stand in the way of a wheelchair/scooter in a crowded area and stare at said wheelchair/scooter. Specifically in the middle of the hill for the manual wheelchair.
I hate that so much! People are so rude! I just want to smack them whenever I’m out in mine and people are being stupid.
What type of camera do you use?
Why are there candles on the retirement cake?
In the chucky house during the Tiffany bathtub kill rather than bride of Frankenstein playing on the tv like in the movie it plays I believe the promotional footage for the bride of Frankenstein lives house from hhn.
Ohh I saw you leaving that day from RipRide Rocket's Q, would have been nice to say hello. Awesome event and video
Hello! Hope you had an amazing time!👋🏻
How fun to see behind the scenes.
I hate frogs too. So I am not alone😂
I've never taken any of the tours with tour guides, but I always wondered, are you supposed to tip the tour guides for the theme parks?
We took both the 3 and the 6 house tours on different days, and we tipped both the guides. I asked first if we could tip them. Both were very appreciative. 😁
May I point out that some of the interactions of Doctor Oddfellow’s symbol look eerily similar to The Deathly Hallows symbol from Harry Potter! Did you notice that too, Molly?
I went through last of us and the bloater walked out in front of me and followed me for a bit
my ratings.: 1. dragons, 2, darkest, 3. blood moon, 4. exorcist
Just had an idea.....could Universal make a glow in the dark wristband or something that says and represents " do not scare me " for street performers that are in th Park at night ?
I knkw they do jump scares out of the flly In the walk ways
Its almost worth it to get close to the old Nickelodeon Studios
When we took our tours, it was a hot set.
Alan what does your Eddie Munson shirt say?
What if they did a Harry Potter house of the maze of the forbidden forest which includes umbridge. Come on universal let’s do it!
That Vecna shirt though
Max is so uncomfortable in all of these videos while also trying to be game. Team player! Hahah
Whyyy? Thomas J can’t see without his glasses!
FIRST 😁
absolutely not with the mariah slander, i won't have it
