If today's commercials were more like this I wouldn't hate 'em so much!
In my Seventies and this silly tune still comes through my memories from time to time.
LOVE these old Blatz commercials with Bottleman, Canman, and Kegman! Thanks for posting. "I'm from Milwaukee and I outta know. It's draft-brewed Blatz Beer, wherever you go. Smoother, fresher, less filling that's clear. Blatz is Milwaukee's finest beer." There's another set of lyrics that was also used, which goes: "All Blatz is draft-brewed, and that's the big news. Cause Blatz brews just one beer -- whichever you choose. In bottles, or cans, or kegs from the vat. Some brewers don't, so always buy Blatz."
The production unit that worked on this ad- "Bill Sturm Studios"- was founded by a former animator who worked at Max Fleischer's studio in the 1930's and early '40s.
the famous jingle, i remember it well from the 60s.
Brewed in Peoria Heights. That was a Pabst brewery. I guess they had a deal for Blatz as well.
Pabst owned Blatz during most of the 1960s. They spun it off to G. Heileman in 1969. Now, thanks to Pabst owning the Heileman brands for the last decade or so, they own it again.
Ah, Blatz memories. Got off a helicopter in Vietnam after a few weeks in the field. When I reached the ground I was handed a warm Blatz. I can't say it tasted good, but I drank it. Actually, I drank a few. That was my last taste or Blatz.
Favorite in Milwaukee only .
Blatz was fantastic beer. Before the Budweiserization of beer, all beer was good.
I enjoyed a Blatz....
Milwaukee's favorite beer eh? I'm from Milwaukee, and I can tell you things have changed a lot since then.
You're from Milwaukee? Then you oughta know. :-D
Now it's old English 800
@@edgein3299 Which is technically originally from Minnesota
lol they never once took a sip!! And i dont blame them lol
When I saw Blatz commercial ,that meant baseball the sponsor of Cleveland Indians.
11 years later and a team with a catching name came...Milwaukee Brewers
Blatz always sounded like a fart noise.
So that guy is drinking on the job?
They never took a sip and i don't blame them.
No, there's a rule amongst TV broadcast stations that it's "verboten" to show someone drinking beer in a commercial. Early 1950s TV beer spots did show people drinking a brew.
GOOD DRAFT BEER WORKING MANs BEER!❤
