Love this, I just harvested some of my Lavender here in Oklahoma and it is so intensely fragrant. I want to bundle it with other herbs from my garden. Thank you, very relaxing
Hi- I use natural cotton twine that was left over from my indigo dye practice- that is why it is partially blue:) I will update the description with a link!
Thank you, Jill! I would say a couple of weeks for sure- in the meantime it smells great. Lately, I've found it can also be used to decorate a gift with ribbon.
Thanks for sharing how to do this, great video except ld prefer a normal voice. I can't listen to whispery asmr voices, too much mouth noise, maybe my having Misophonia has something to do with it. Easy fix though, l watched with captions 👍
Thank you, thank you, thank you!! Such an important practice to produce smudging bundles that do NOT use White Sage that grows in such a small geographic area and is mercilessly poached from First Americans' Lands when the White Sage is SUCH an important part of their culture and ancestral community. ua-cam.com/video/jhgHt4gPN7Y/v-deo.html Here's a movie about the sad state of affairs regarding poaching sage in southern California. Please watch the video link I included, and relax, relax,, relax in the realization, that Hilary L. Hahn's rosemary and lavender smudge sticks are sustainable and not destructive to native cultures and native lands! Thanks!
Hi Paulette, Yes! It is important to be mindful about this! I wonder if people might also grow their own sage as well. We grow ours but for cooking! Rosemary and lavender as you have seen- work well.
Exactly what i needed to see. I have both lavender and rosemary in my garden. thank you so much, all the way from Ireland
@@rachelfallon3155 enjoy bundling!

Thanks, Mayra! I will be releasing a new video where I use a cotton sashiko thread to bundle.
Thank you so much for the video! Do you dry the herbs before or after? Does it burn well fresh? Thanks!
It’s fresh, then I allow them to dry! They burn well dry!
@@hilarylhahn1089 Thank you so much! About how long does it take for them to dry?

So happy you enjoyed this!
Do you have to let the rosemary dry though??
I did it when it was fresh which made it easier to wrap...then let the bundles naturally dry out.
Thanks dear
My pleasure, Sonia!
made my first rosemary bundle cos of this video, theyre nowhere as pretty as yours, but im rly excited anyways!!1
Amazing to hear- so happy you enjoyed it!
Can you mix basil with the rosemary?
not sure about basil, but I know if you are personally growing wild sage - that would work!
Love this video❤️ but why aren’t whispering? 😅
Thank you! I speak softly so it will be more relaxing:)
thanks!! is the rosemary fresh ? :)
Yes! I used it fresh:) I have an huge overgrown rosemary bush. It dries out nicely and then can be burned.
How long would a smudge stick like this take to dry before you could burn it? Thank you, lovely video :)

Please tell me about your string and how you color it🤗
Hi Amanda, I teach natural indigo workshops and that is how I dyed the thread. Hope to share a demo soon. Thanks for watching.
