They wiped because they sappered and AOE'd after he called to stop DPS, he then calls "sapper" which is gogo for aoe and sappers. That was what pushed it over :( dots is one thing but 20+ people aoe and sappering at once is pretty good damage burst. Sappers are very powerful when used as a group ofc :(

He was single target attacking one mob as the adds went wild on the group. The group should be more mad at him being utterly worthless.
I was there.
This was our 3rd Maexxna.
I failed to SW the web spray and got smacked. She then starts 1 shotting all the Warriors who are desperately trying to pick her up.
Her web wrap then grabbed people out of their Petris and put them on the wall, slowly dying.. so the ones who make it out were just lucky.
Total 25 dead.
We could have likely mitigated some deaths by pushing DPS, as you can see she is at around 3% by the end.

@peek5548 No, it wasn't the druid. The Steward was too close to the dwarfs, so they got pulled. That dwarf pack is split and some of them stand behind the boss. It's almost impossible to pull boss and dwarfs independently and this guy clearly lacks the knowledge how it's done. Tank is 100% at fault here.

It's the Laws of Reality!!! Something ALWAYS goes wrong in raids / dungeons... ALWAYS! Now sure, that's fine when you know you have infinite lives and can simply try again but on HC?

I make enough mistakes soloing anyway but at least I get to blame myself and learn from them... Can't really do that in a group where any one of us could make an honest (or not so honest!) mistake!
And oftentimes, bad luck plays it's part too! Like randomly getting one-shotted by mobs or bosses... There's just TOO much risk man!!!
Don't fear dungeons. They're safer than questing 100%.

@@sdwone Not really. The bulk of them are just people out in the open world. I've lvled from 18-50 on resto druid purely doing dungeons and 0 world quests, and I'm still leveling that character rn.

It's expensive. 70-80g on my server. Working on it, but I don't wanna buy gold. That would ruin the HC challenge for me.
At lvl 50, there was just 10 lvls since we had to buy mount. If i farmed on the right spots and saved all my earningds it would be possible to get 150g in 10 lvls? But I fuck around too much with my gold, levling proffesion etc ^^

@@conbag5736 at level 50 you should easialy be able to buy etleast 1 petri. You know whats more expensive than a petri? Going again. Sure you can do a dungeon at 50+, but then dont act surprised if you died on a pull that was too big. It is a risk that's easialy preventable.

Why don't you give a HC a try man? You might find out that SoD is "slightly" more forgiving. Not only game mechanics but how you are affected as a player when shit hit the fans.

btw mobs in SoD hit harder and have more HP than your hardcore mobs. I'd give you specific examples in this video if only just ONE of those players ran with a UI that gave target frame hp.
@@quineloe I don't see lvl 40 SoD Uldaman and classic hc Uldaman at whichever level be a fair or even a meaningful comparison. The numbers are different, and you have additional abilities in your tool kit to choose from, so the experience is also different.
SoD, at least in phase 1 (haven't yet got around to phase 2 myself) seemed less taxing to heal, the classes had more aoe damage capabilities, high burst dps, and interrupts, so people with better game sense are likely finding their character more powerful in comparison to pve content than in vanilla otherwise, regardless of enemies being stronger (generally only having higher stats, while larger pulls due to additional npcs in groups and new npc abilities seemed rare) to compensate for it.
The easy example is paladin, SoD phase 1 gave them ranged pull, interrupt, taunt, and more aoe dps. Rotation making use of exorcism to non-undead/non-demons, divine storm, avenger's shield, crusader strike is so much more dps than vanilla autoswing+consecrate+judge. The other easy example is how mages were also obscene with their living flame / regeneration combo and gave significant party survivability for accidental overpulls - can't disregard that.
When enemies die faster, they have less uptime to deal their increased damage so healers are having fewer mana issues and potentially generating less healing threat, and there's someone using aoe abilities so the healer doesn't accidentally pull aggro, thus chances are that the overall difficulty gets reduced by a whole lot regardless of enemies having higher stats. But... maybe phase 2 is different with the feedback from phase 1 which seemed 'too easy' in my opinion, I'll definitely have to give it a try once my friends activate for it.
Also, I think ASK being a wipefest in hc is due to main tank being cc'd by the tornado, while the additional earthens have a longer distance to cross to reach the party, build up healing threat along the way and charge at the healer, disrupting the normal 'keep healing the tank and you'll be fine' paradigm. Silenced and movement speed impaired tank won't be able to easily react and pick up the adds unless they had the foresight to understand what's going to happen before it's too late to react. When healer starts getting hit, chances are that whatever strat the party had going in is going out the window. It's one of those fights where a standard 1 tank 1 healer 3 dps party composition is going to be less than ideal. If you want surprise resistance in hc, you should look into having a secondary tank and a secondary/tertiary healer in your group, not - as these clips have taught us - only rogues and hunters.
