I saw the movie "Waterloo Bridge" 2 days ago. It was the first time I saw vivien leigh for the first time in movies or even knew of her. Even then I find myself worthy enough to be among the other commentators here to make a remarkable comment on her. Great actress, no match !!!

There was fa colourised version made of Waterloo Bridge. I saw it here in the States sometime in the 80's for Turner Classic Movies. In the final scene her coat and shoes were black and her dress was emerald green!! I wish I had recorded it!
What a sweet smile she had. I believe the "The End" footage here from GWTW is actually part of or just after the movie's final scene which has never been shown in public. After "...tomorrow is another day", Scarlett is shown at the gate of Tara. She looks down the road in the direction of Twelve Oaks and there is no one. Scarlett looks in the direction of Atlanta but no one is seen in that direction. Scarlett looks toward places associated with Ashley and Rhett but neither man is in sight. Then Scarlett walks alone back to the house.

Sie zeigte zwar immer ihre spielerische Kunst von bester Seite, aber mit Scarlett O'Hara ist das nicht zu vergleichen. Auch die dunklere Haarfarbe, passte besser zu ihrer Haut Taint. Nicht ohne Grund wurde sie für ihre spielerische Leistung mit einem Oscar nominiert. Der Film wird noch in 100 Jahren ein Kinohit bleiben.

It’s painful to see her as an aged woman. This aging Vivien is not the image that comes to mind when one thinks of Vivien Leigh. She will forever be remembered as Scarlet O’Hara: young and divinely beautiful.
However even with her mental issues she had a lot of friends that she stayed close with during her life. You wouldn't necessarily think that but she did. In a way we are all kind of alone when it's our time to check out.
