@@snoopyr1953 trying….😅
ABX is insanely good
I feel like GBB could solve many of the concerns with their event by addressing specifically how they will prevent past issues this time. BeeLow has done that already by involving many national organizers to get feedback publicly and set up solutions, so people can see that the will is there. I'd like to see that from SBX, because people should be able to make an informed choice based on organizers addressing their faults and showing desire to improve. Just my two cents, I'll personally go to World Champs as BeeLow has been proactive in asking for help from the very groups that are underrepresented and also because Berlin is more affordable to travel to. I find that open communication is growing in importance when it comes to organizers and people deciding on which events to visit. Nobody's perfect, it's how that imperfection is handled.
Thanks for making this video Kazu!
Fully agree and love the work safespace is doing for the community! I appreciate that Julianna of sbx took it upon herself to do the podcasts/discussions, but would have loved to see more from the whole team.
Well balanced and well intentioned points you have made, on a personal note the money side of things is the biggest factor for me, so I will hopefully be going to World Champs if I can even afford that. on a community note, I think @Rayowag has nailed the points in their post, World Champs has taken the community involvement approach whilst SBX has opted for the corporate approach - only time will tell which is healthier for the community, but I am sure people who have their concerns will be opting for the community based option.
Keep up the good work Kaz and the HBB team. ⭐
I mean that is the direction that the two events hold. GBB is more the showy side of beatbox, which will inevitably push beatbox to the forefront of the music world. But worlds is still that underground feel of “true to the form” battle atmosphere. But yes, money makes the world go ‘round (and beatbox event happen)…
I liked how you pointed out all the mistakes of both events 🔥
Thanks. We still love both events, but even we will have to choose carefully on which we can attend $$$$ 😭
Fantastic content !! keep it up :D

i miss this channel and these discussion type videos!
Bring on Japan! So excited!
Congrats if you’re going! Remember to visit akiba if you’re an anime fan!
Amazing content man, its clear, concise and doesn't beat around the bush, i don't think the people who are going to these events don't already know about its issues, but it is pretty informative nonetheless. Also there have been assault allegations and such in WBC as well (afaik) but i think you know better since you were actually there.
Better safe than sorry, I suppose. If this helps one person stay safe, then it was work that making.
i wish i could travel to tokyo and berlin, but i'm gonna watch the livestreams 😅
Most of us are going to :(
@@boogeyperson316 i'm from argentina, it's REALLY expensive. where are you from? :>
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I SUBSCRIBED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hiii, idk where to ask this question so i think i could it here:
For GBB 2023, there will be a top 21, Colaps said he won't participate so i guess the top 11 of wildcard will be top 12, i know River' and Footboxg are in and Inertia and Waali are also in through other beatbox battle tournaments, so for the place left, how can u qualify ???
river ain’t going to do it again he said
There was a wildcard competition that just ended. There will be a top 25 picked from the wildcards, then a second round of wildcards just between the top 25. The winners of that, along with those who prequalify, will be competing at GBB23.
I don't know if you mentioned it earlier but the last winner of French champ in solo is Bookie Blanco against Synopsys and in the duo category we have Fresh Tonic (Pacmax and Bookie Blanco) who won against Fell in (Svent and Julieta)
Lol we will in the next one then! Thank you for the info! Do you know the other winners in the other categories in French champ?
@@HUMANBEATBOXdotcom the french champ are split into 2 full week end ! The first one was showcasing solo and duo categories and the next one (who will happen in April) will feature loop crew and solo female ! (If I remember correctly ! ) :)
Also there were more trophy at the first week end : there was the Alexinho price who was taken by Julard (best under 18yo = he was amazing and SO LOUD), Scouilla price who was taken by Keym (top 17) and Hutch price by Bookie Blanco (best battler ! Yes Bookie won everything ahahah)
