Hi team Its helped a lot. And for easy path we can directly add different FTP sites. Assiged to different Folders. This will reduce creation of Root folders and Directories.
Perfect Explanation. Thanks Just one addition. Like you gave NT permissions to the FTP root folder (@04:56) , you may want to give NT permissions for the Sub Folders as well(for the respective users). For me, it started working after doing that extra step. Thanks again....!
Hello Friends. thanks for your nice video. My question is, I already have a functionally FTP Server, but I nned to create more folders for other users with different primissions. Should I skeep the first part of this video? and only create Virtual directories? Thanks for your advice.
Creating a folder with the same name as the virtual directory is not needed. If you click on the ftp site and select 'FTP Directory Browsing' you can select 'Virtual Directories' which allows them to be displayed. Also the folder Local user does not need to be a virtual directory. You can just create a folder c:\ftproot\LocalUser and then create folders for each of the users within that.
if I change then FTP isolation to FTP Root (first option), I can connect through Filezilla, but when I try to create a file, I get a critical file transfer error. Same behavior with ftpadmin01 user. Any clue?
Top 3 things is either the 1) the group permissions or 2) the file level permissions or the IIS User folder permissions to debug, change one thing at a time, giving maximum level permissions to Everyone, then removing the permission afterwards.
Thank you so much this solved my issues with adding multiple virtual directories.
Thanks for this step by step.Great job
Excellent! Thank you!
